Many small problems, the curtains fell off as soon as they were pulled, the bathroom exhaust fan could not be turned on or off (in order to say that the central control actually did not seem to be) The sound was oversized, and then I didn’t know how to turn on the hot water for a long time. The new front desk was a bit greasy.

We had a great time. The staff is friendly and helpful, offering good informatiin for island activities. (highway closure, local acyivities and such) The pool is a little cold but there is a nice hot tub jacuzzi option. The pools hours of availability are terrific, and allowed for plenty of time for fun The breakfast available with the stay offers a good basic variety of hard boiled eggs, cereals, toast and bagels juice and coffee or tea. Just one suggestiin would be to add aniyher ice machine, otherwise we are happy with our stay and found everything clean and enjoyable Again such friendly and helpful staff throughout. The room is badly in need of renovations because the very old carpeted floor is uneven and bumpy. There is a smell in the room where I had to open the window to air. The bathtub hot water is just barely warm. A report to the receptionist on my 3rd evening.. who suggested I change my room. When I checked on the first day, the reception offered a room upgrade which I rejected after I went to the room because it was very dark and gave an uneasy feeling. This is probably the worst hotel on this trip in Canada where I have been for last one month.

The Travelodge Nanaimo is centrally located in a quiet area about a 5 minute walk to the downtown business district & a minutes stroll from Nanaimo's Harbourfront Walkway & the beautiful waterfront Maffeo Sutton Park. This Travelodge is an older property & the standard room furnishings were a bit dated but the room itself was very clean, well maintained and included a small patio area, mini-fridge, microwave, complimentary coffee/tea and a very comfortable bed. The value priced rate also included continental breakfast. Great value for the price paid.

Hotel location is very easy to find, the room, bedding and bathroom supplies are very new and clean, arrived at the hotel early on the same day and checked in in advance, it really made the guests have a good experience. If you need to take a boat back to Vancouver in the morning, this hotel is a very good choice. It takes only 5 minutes from the hotel to the departure bay ferry terminal, which is very convenient. I will stay at this hotel next time I come to Nanaimo.

This hotel is a bit biased on Victoria Island. If it is not self-driving, it is very inconvenient. The hotel is relatively new. The facilities are relatively complete. There are hot springs. Facing a small lake, it was quite peaceful. There is a kitchen, but we don’t have time to cook by ourselves. The breakfast at the hotel is good, you can make your own waffles. Did not see the Chinese. Because there was only a foreign couple who went to the hot springs late. There is free parking.

There is a small tv with ChromeCast access so you are able to cast from your phone, tablet or computer any of your streaming sites. **NEW JUNE 2024** We have installed an awning that extends the length of the Tiny Home providing a covered area to dine and relax outside.The kitchen features a full sized fridge, microwave, gas stove and oven, electric tea kettle, French press, and all the cooking ware you'll need to create your delicious meals . We provide coffee, tea, as well as oat milk and sugar. We also supply general condiments for cooking – such as spices and olive oil.The generous sized bathroom comes equipped with all amenities including towels, shampoo and conditioner, body wash & lotion. If you forget anything, let us know.The sleeping loft is accessible by a small staircase , from the living room. This hotel is under Marriott and is well managed by friendly staff at the front desk. Check-in and check-out are quick and smooth. Indoor guest car parking is just across the street for $9.45. The spacious rooms and bathrooms have significant counter areas decorated with bright lights. Ice machines are on every floor. Washing and drying machines are available for $3 each. The indoor swimming pool opens from 7am to 11pm, and the gym is open 24/7. The only downside was the coil of the air conditioning was installed in the room, so you will hear the big noise when the coil starts to work the room temperature colder.

GGuest UserI would describe myself as a “non-guest” as I reserved and booked here, thinking it was a dog-accepting hotel. But at checkin, there was a sign “no dogs in rooms” - so I was in a quandary. When I iexclaimed at my confusion and error, the receptionist was totally cool and maximum helpful - he called a sister hotel, transferred my reservation and payment to them, pre-checked me in, and  never broke a swear, just “happy to help ma’am. “ Great service! Excellent staff!  Thanks so much!

This hotel is under Marriott and is well managed by friendly staff at the front desk. Check-in and check-out are quick and smooth. Indoor guest car parking is just across the street for $9.45. The spacious rooms and bathrooms have significant counter areas decorated with bright lights. Ice machines are on every floor. Washing and drying machines are available for $3 each. The indoor swimming pool opens from 7am to 11pm, and the gym is open 24/7. The only downside was the coil of the air conditioning was installed in the room, so you will hear the big noise when the coil starts to work the room temperature colder.

This hotel is a bit biased on Victoria Island. If it is not self-driving, it is very inconvenient. The hotel is relatively new. The facilities are relatively complete. There are hot springs. Facing a small lake, it was quite peaceful. There is a kitchen, but we don’t have time to cook by ourselves. The breakfast at the hotel is good, you can make your own waffles. Did not see the Chinese. Because there was only a foreign couple who went to the hot springs late. There is free parking.

This is our 3rd stay in Beach Club and we’re never been wrong for choosing this resort every time we go to Parksville. The staffs are so wonderful. The room is clean. Housekeeping staffs are very nice and friendly. Always an available parking spot in the underground parking.

Many small problems, the curtains fell off as soon as they were pulled, the bathroom exhaust fan could not be turned on or off (in order to say that the central control actually did not seem to be) The sound was oversized, and then I didn’t know how to turn on the hot water for a long time. The new front desk was a bit greasy.

The Travelodge Nanaimo is centrally located in a quiet area about a 5 minute walk to the downtown business district & a minutes stroll from Nanaimo's Harbourfront Walkway & the beautiful waterfront Maffeo Sutton Park. This Travelodge is an older property & the standard room furnishings were a bit dated but the room itself was very clean, well maintained and included a small patio area, mini-fridge, microwave, complimentary coffee/tea and a very comfortable bed. The value priced rate also included continental breakfast. Great value for the price paid.

It’s my first Best western in few decades. Pleasantly surprised by the modernity and cleanliness. Room is comfortable and compact with all the basic touches and a good layout. The free breakfast was a nice touch. Location is perfect for one night stay to get in and out from the highway.

It was an amazing exercise staying at Turtle, it’s in the middle of downtown, super close to ocean, restaurants and night life is good. I’m definitely staying there again! It was clean n neat, no one disturbed, guests were super friendly.

Pretty awesome place. I like the having security cameras pointed towards the parking lot. Makes me feel safe with leaving our loaded vehicle outside. The bathroom looks modern and nice. I would love to stay here again
