HeJi Restaurant
We visited #Heji in Vilnius for the first time—a restaurant that opened in 2024 and immediately became one of the city's most talked-about gastronomic projects. The first thing that impresses is the scale of the space. The restaurant is truly enormous, but thanks to the architectural design, it doesn't feel noisy or overcrowded. The space is zoned: different levels, wide passageways, island bar areas, and soft seating areas create a sense of movement and airiness. The high ceilings offer plenty of volume and depth, so even with a large number of guests, a feeling of comfort is maintained. The interior architecture is built on a combination of natural materials. There's plenty of dark wood, natural stone, and warm-toned metal. Stone surfaces, massive tables, large bar counters, and soft, muted lighting create an atmosphere of modern luxury. The lighting is carefully designed to create an almost theatrical feel—soft backlighting highlights the tables, textures, and individual areas. The table setting was especially memorable. The stone countertops look heavy and elegant. The tableware is handmade ceramic with a natural texture—gray, sand, and graphite shades. The cutlery is metal and wooden, and the glasses are thin, clear glass. The table setting is minimalist and meticulously crafted. The restaurant's cuisine is built on the East-West fusion concept—a blend of Asian flavors and European culinary techniques. The menu features a wealth of seafood, fish, sashimi, and dim sum, as well as dishes cooked over an open fire. The presentation is modern and aesthetically pleasing, with attention to detail. Overall, it feels like everything has been thought through: the architecture of the space, the materials, the table setting, and the cuisine all work together as a single concept. This place feels more like a gastronomic palace than a typical restaurant. Very attentive staff. A substantial craft wine list. Pleasant background music. Prices are high. The average price per dish is €30-60.

Gates of Dawn
Vilnius Lithuania Sunrise Serenity at the Gates of Dawn 🌅✨ If you’re craving history, spirituality, and photogenic facades, Vilnius’ Gates of Dawn delivers a magical start to your morning! Step through this legendary city gate—famed for its striking classical architecture and religious significance—before the day gets busy. For a peaceful itinerary: arrive early (between 7–8 AM) for your morning walk. The air is brisk, crowds are minimal, and you’ll catch beautiful light streaming through Aušros Vartų g., perfect for those in search of tranquil vibes and 'insta-worthy' architectural shots. Capture the church entrance under a clear sky for vibrant photos; the classical details look especially stunning with natural sunlight. If you’re lucky enough for cloud cover or even a drizzle, try close-ups of ornate carvings or wide-angle shots of the gate framed by moody skies—the Western-style structure really pops in all weather. Must-do activities: stroll beneath the gate, marvel at the devotional icons, and pause inside the chapel for a moment of reflection. If you’re into architecture, take a few detail shots of columns, the archways, and any seasonal decor. My tip: bring a light jacket if the weather is chilly or rainy—my walk was breezy, but easy with layers! Practical tips: The Gates of Dawn is open year-round from 07:00–19:00. Early mornings promise fewer tourists and beautiful lighting for photography. Watch your step after rain—cobblestones can get slippery! #Vilnius #GatesofDawn #MorningWalk #ArchitecturalPhotography #TravelTips
