This Hotel may look old on the outside (because it is) but on the inside the hotel rooms have all had a facelift. We are a family of 4, the rooms aren’t the biggest we’ve stayed in but you get the best you can in the space provided. New mattresses and very comfortable, lots of storage we all Slept very well, very quiet surroundings, new bathroom, new decor inside USB ports to charge your phone, complete with Netflix on the new tv!!! Everything worked well and the WiFi was brilliant the best we’ve ever had on holiday. We had a side sea view room. (See pic) Two pools lovely and warm. Great selection at Breakfast, they weren’t serving pancakes the week we came however my son asked and voila, they made them for him every morning. Covid regulations meant everything was provided to stay as safe as possible. The staff treat you very well here and look after your every need, nothing is too much trouble throughout. We came in October and there wasn’t much entertainment, but I’ve heard the entertainment is much better is high season. The hotel is a short bus ride away from the main harbour of Paphos which we rode almost daily, the bus stop is just outside, 3x per hour, cheap and easy. Everyone was friendly, we’d love to come back. Oh and upon arriving home we’d realised my son had lost his wallett... I contacted the hotel who had luckily had found it and it’s safely back here now, complete with my sons euros!!- thanks again for posting!! And for a lovely holiday.

The scenery is excellent, and the breakfast is rich. The pool design is good and suitable for guests at all ages. The theme of dinner is changed every day. You can experience the Asian style, Mexican style, European style, and so on. Most importantly, the scenery is great.

Pretty good. Although the reservation was a problem, the boss did not see the order and let the early check-in.

The room is too large and the furniture is too simple. The surrounding environment of the hotel is very beautiful, making it a good place for relaxation and travelling. Breakfast is simple and exquisite. The reception desk served with smile, which was quite satisfying.

This is by far the best hotel i have had the pleasure of visiting - ever. I repeat...ever. I have reviewed well over 100 hotels on TA, and i cannot overstate the awesomeness of this property. The place is beautiful, immaculately clean and the rooms are at an unsurpassed standard of comfort. The attention to esthetic detail all over the hotel, public spaces and rooms are, simply put, a straight 10. We stayed in the cabana rooms (009 and 010) and they were truly a special experience. By far, the highest compliment i can give goes to the staff at the Amavi. All of them, without exception, were very courteous, always smiling and highly responsive and professional. I was upset by one reviewer who commented negatively about the staff, so i will say this again - I have never experienced such a high standard of service, from the bell-boys at the entrance, the reception, restaurants, guest services and housekeeping. Credit must be given to the hotel’s GM and to those responsible for the staff training and maintenance of such high standards. The food was better than outstanding. The dinner at Nocturne was one of the best cuisine experiences that i, together with my friends, have ever experienced. Thank you for this weekend experience. We will return - as often as possible - and it is a pleasure to know that you can access such a high-quality property, at a reasonable price.

This hotel is estimated to be Chinese investment and has a Chinese introduction. Opposite the hotel is a shopping center, very good. There is also a supermarket. But the hotel itself is old and quite old.

Me, My Sister and Auntie stayed here at the end of August last year. We had never been to Cyprus before therefore was a special welcoming and stay . We checked into the hotel late ( due to a late night flight ) therefore we missed meal times . When we got into our room we were treated with some nice sandwiches so we didn’t miss out. Throughout our stay we went on many adventures to explore the country with a few boat trips (definitely recommend the Wave Dancer , Day and Night cruise with bus pick ups from the hotel ) this was all recommended by our Thomas cook rep for us to do lots of different things during our stay . However we did have some pool days to relax of the sound of the sea (away from the pool ) and always had lovely staff (from the pool bar ) coming to check on us at least every hour to see if we needed more drinks ( deffo recommend the non alcoholic mint and apple mojito) . The pool man was brilliant especially in the hot heat . The food was brilliant , however if you go to the buffet every night it does get a bit repetitive , but part of our all inclusive we got different food nights at the different restaurants in the hotel such as a la Carte , Meze , Flambé , Italian and a couple more . There was entertainment every evening with a lot of it being aimed at children , but there was a quiz night which was fun for teens . There was a kids club during the day with different things going on , and even an adults aqua fit in the morning , as well as a younger children’s care (if you wanted a few ours to yourself ) . The staff couldn’t of been any more helpful and we even got a few little presents from the manager and a lovely goodbye , would like to say thank you to all the staff and all they did to make our stay at your hotel wonderful , and definitely will return in the future , Thank you

Just back from a lovely week on BB in studio 121 Block 43. We didn't have a sea view but that wasn't an issue when you can find so many places to sit and see the beautiful sea. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. In fact we would choose Paphos just to stay here! We don't normally stay in Paphos but enjoyed the coastal walk from the complex. Breakfast was plentiful. A few unusual combinations but all good. Staff friendly throughout the complex. Studio brilliant for what we needed. As off season it was quiet but that's what we wanted for our week break. Hopefully the current situation sorts itself out soon so Kefalos has a good summer. Thanks for a lovely week!

The breakfast is good, served with a rich variety of food. The hotel has a free parking lot. Its location is also good. The problem is that the house next to it was under renovation. So, it became noisy early in the morning!

We recently spent 10 nights at the Sofianna on a last minute trip when all of our other holidays had been cancelled this year. We were slightly concerned what it would be like in the current covid situation but it was one of the best holidays we have had. The hotel has everything you need and will be even better when the other facilities that had to close because of covid reopen. We stayed in a family room with our 2 children which was lovely and spacious, much needed when there are 4 of you in a room. The pools were great we spent our time near the splash park and the pool near there with our children and they went to the kids club with Chloe a few times before it closed and thoroughly enjoyed it. They loved the mini disco with Ashley who was so lovely and they enjoyed the shows, the team A/B game was a lot of fun and my 8 year old loved it when everyone started to get up and dance. It was lovely to see our kids have fun and be kids after the year it has been. Every single member of staff here are amazing, they make you feel so welcome. We arrived the day before Cyprus was put on the quarantine list and it was such a shame for the hotel and all of the staff. They were genuinely upset over it and as the days went by more people left and nobody else arrived. By the end of our holiday there were a handful of us left but all of the staff continued to be so attentive and thoughtful. The food was lovely every night even with such reduced numbers the food was well thought out and we couldnt fault anything. A special mention goes to Andreas, Assistant Manager who we knew from our wedding at the Louis Imperial 7 years ago, we had a special surprise when we saw him now at the Sofianna and he couldnt do enough for us to make our holiday special. My parents were due to fly out a few days after us to join us for a week and when TUI cancelled their holiday Andreas went above and beyond to help me arrange a room for them and we managed to get them another flight. Andreas makes this place special seeing him walking around and making sure everything is just right all the time. Greta is also lovely and another special mention to Alanya who is always smiling and friendly. Many thanks to each and every one of you at Sofianna who go above and beyond for your guests. We will definitely be back and we are counting down the days!

There are many positives to staying at Helios Bay. I found the staff to be friendly and nothing was a bother. I asked advice on bus connections, where to eat, etc and found Irena and Elena on reception very knowledgeable. My apartment was always well cleaned and had lovely, soft towels. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and had nice sheets. Great air conditioning, and it’s free of charge. Irons and ironing boards are available but not already in the apartments. Good hairdryer in the bedroom. There is a safe that is €8.50 to hire for the week. WIFI in the apartment was quoted as being €5 but they gave it to me complimentary. There is free WIFI in the reception area. I emailed Helios Bay directly and requested a top floor apartment with a balcony and sea view. This was indeed what I received. All my emails and questions were replied to very, very quickly by Nicos. I cannot fault the fantastic communication. A taxi was arranged for me and the driver was waiting for me on my arrival. This was €30 and took around 20 – 25 minutes. The view from my apartment was spectacular, looking over the pretty garden down to the sea. The sunsets were a little obscured from my balcony as the palm trees were in the way…but this didn’t really matter as I went down into the garden to watch them. And they are incredible! I took to running most evenings along the paths down to the beach, at the same time as the sun was setting. Nothing quite like it! And at the time I visited it was lovely and quiet. No fight for sunbeds! As other reviewers have mentioned, the number 615 bus stops right outside Helios Bay and costs only €1.50 a journey – whether it’s to Lidl supermarket (around 10 minutes away) or Paphos Harbour (around 20 minutes away). They run every 15 minutes, were comfortable and air conditioned. Other interesting bits I noticed: Cars drive on the left-hand side so hiring a car wouldn’t be nearly as traumatic for those who worry about “driving on the wrong side”. Plugs are as they are in UK, so three pins rather than the two pins you normally find in Europe. Almost all signage (including labels/signs in supermarkets) is in English as well as in Greek. The people I came across were so very friendly. Places I can recommend are Kasparis (almost opposite Helios Bay), Caravelle (same side of the road as Helios Bay, around a 5 – 6 minute walk), Phidias Tavern in Coral Bay (a little of the main strip but great menu, food and staff). One suggestion to Helios Bay would be to put some pictures on the walls of the living area in the apartments, and add some colourful scatter cushions to the sofas, along with nicer curtains. With only a little bit of work this could actually feel more 4* than 3*. It’s currently quite basic. Also, it would be helpful to leave some basics in the kitchen area such as washing up liquid and kitchen roll. All in all I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to Helios Bay, and can definitely recommend it to others.

The breakfast is rich. The hotel is close to the sea, and it's quite beautiful to watch the sunrise in the sea view room. It has convenient parking. It's suitable for trips of families, parents and children as well as couples. The coastal running track is behind the hotel, which is very convenient for morning exercises. A marine project service point is conveniently located nearby.
