I stayed in this 4-storeyed hotel for one night as part of a photography tour group but it was a pity that we checked in at night and out right after breakfast and a quick walk to the street corner's roundabout. The hotel building appears to have quite a history but is well preserved with good internal decor all over. We had a full Italian dinner in the basement which was a well served dinner with authentic salad, starter, main course and delicious dessert. I do not have special liking for Italian pasta but I must admit that the dinner was more than satisfying for most of us and we could feel the local hospitality from the concierge desk lady who walked down to ensure the group was well served and finally thank every of us when the dinner was over. The breakfast of the following morning is the best breakfast I have ever had all over the world in terms of the variety of food from jam, bread, cakes, biscuits, cold cuts, fruits, juices, tea and coffee to cheese. It was served on the ground level in a very cozy eatery with wooden furniture and decor. The lady who served us with fresh boiled eggs was cheerful and reminded some of us the location of certain items lest we would miss out any of the food choices available. This hotel is conveniently located in the local high street with boutiques across the road and shops all over the street. There is a small church located at the far corner of the street where there is a roundabout with a large colourful bird made with plants. The room I had has a double bed, a good-sized desk, 2 chairs and a wooden furniture for easy packaging and unpacking of baggage items. It was very clean, well maintained and not small. The washroom does not contain a bath but it is of the right size with well and safely positioned fixtures for all quests. One minor issue was that the windows were not sound-proofed enough for noises from the street, though overall I am very happy with the one-night experience with this local hotel.

Not an amazing hotel, but at the price it was good value. Difficult to rate compared with some fabulous hotels we have stayed in, but the rooms were clean and serviceable - if maybe a bit dated in style - and the breakfast was quite decent. Where they really stood out was the service: our Easyjet flight (reviewed separately!) was nearly 5 hours late and our 3 hour drive was through teeming rain and pitch black skies. The hotel had said latest check-in time was 10pm, but we phoned to say we'd be late and the manager himself stayed up until 1.30 am. Fantastic service. Nice friendly reception staff in the morning, too.

Stayed her for five days during the Alta Pusteria choir festival in June. The hotel is conveniently located, close to the gondola that takes you up to Kronplatz. There's also a bus stop near the hotel. We had dinner included in the package, and enjoyed the food. The staff helped a lot when our schedule and the dinner schedule weren't compatible, and last minute changes had to be made. Spacious rooms with modern bathrooms were a big plus.

We've all been to hotels that provide great service but how do you really define a fantastic hotel that just gets it right, easy really, when things go wrong. My partner and I booked a four-day break at Hotel Rudolf and as soon as we arrived and were greeted by the receptionist we knew it was a good hotel. This was further confirmed with the quality of the room, the Spa facilities and the superb quality and selection of food. But as I previously said, we all take this for granted. The first indication that Hotel Rudolf was different was when Frau Rubner greeted every guest at dinner with genuine interest and an amazing command of many languages. The real piece de la resistance was when on my last day skiing I managed to fracture my hip. My partner was understandably a little upset and not completely sure how to deal with all the administration of returning ski equipment, the hire car, getting to the hospital to visit me, to mention just a few. This is where Kurt Gamper the hotel manager and his staff stepped up to the plate. They arranged for our hire car to be returned, chaffured and supported my partner when returning the ski equipment and then visited me in hospital every day bring papers and just making sure I was OK and providing translation services as required. I cannot praise Kurt and his staff enough as it was all done with genuine care and interest about their guests. In my opinion this is very rare and it's not about the easy stuff that we've all experienced and take for granted, it's about what happens if and being treated as if we were family. Amazing and thank you Frau Rubner and all of your truly amazing staff.

We stayed in Feldmessner fort he first time and received great service from the booking till the leaving! Hotel is located 15 mins walking distance to the ski lifts at Kronpltaz, but you can also take a ski bus running 2-3 times an hour. Both did both and felt its a sensible distance to be happy with. Rooms were super clean and very well made with comfort and great interior design. Lounge and overall hotel look and feel were great too. There is a very nice bar downstairs, but its well isolated from the hotel and did not interrupt our sleep. The ski room was large and well equipped with some tools to do basic snowboard/ski service. The sauna area was quite large with dry and steam saunas (hosting 4-6 people each) and the relaxation room with some beds and sunbeds. All clean and great quality. Breakfasts were extremely tasty with fresh local products, squeezed orange juice and a juice squeezer with a set of raw vegetables and fruits letting you prepare something new yourself every day! This was one of the best breakfast experiences I had so far! There is a great swimming pool Cron4 located like 10-15min walking distance from the hotel, which I can highly recommend. We got a discount and paid only 2.5 EUR/p for the whole evening entrance! I can definitely recommend this place and hope to visit next year!

I have room in new part. Rooms were clean and comfortable, however, glazed bathrooms is not a good idea, somehow I do not see the advantages in watching other people sitting in the toilet. I felt lack a kettle or glasses in the room. Good food, nice saunas. Well-kept surroundings.

Their careful attention to gluten intolerant and celiac guests brought us to their family run business. After four days of half board, we went away with mixed reviews... The daily afternoon snack from 3-5 PM was very good. However, many smokers were intermingled with non smokers on the terrace. Dinner was exceptional! It is rare to have such consistently superior quality dinners at even a four star hotel. Dinner service was much better than breakfast. The Hotel Petrus dinners are comparable to Michelin one and two star restaurants. Outstanding areas: Baked goods; the room decor, quality materials, color matching, lighting, firm bed, dead quiet floors and doors, pool, hot tub, general grounds and sauna areas. However: Chipped glasses, carafe and dirty dishes. Breakfast service was poor, and we weren't informed what was available to order beyond the initial servings. Staff were noisily setting up for the next meal. After a talk with the owner, breakfast service improved. At 8-10 AM, loud machine noises and loud music from the underground parking garage below our window. Although a do not disturb sign on our door at 1045, housekeeping knocks and tells us this is her last room to clean, so we vacated early for her. Flies in the breakfast/dining room. Hotel Petrus has tremendous potential and, with some minor tweaks, could be a world class experience. Overall, a really superior hotel that needs to at least meet, and hopefully exceed expectations in not just some, but all areas.
