Onomo Hotel’s proximity to Nelson Mandela Square Mall is a stone throw away, you literally just cross the small road from the mall exit point straight into the hotel
Their breakfast was good however there’s need to add on variety and vegetables!
The rooms are small but clean linen. The TV’s are not smart ones that in some rooms there’s no internet TV accessed.
The bathrooms comes with a humid kinda odor that l think emanates from the pipes but they will be clean
WiFi connection was not as good had to have room changes done.
Bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, morning shoes and morning gown, they don’t offer all that!
Reception ladies were not as welcoming even upon enquiring!

The exterior windows of the two stores were being repaired from 2 to 5 p.m., and workers kept kicking and kicking the windows, making clinking sounds. I complained to the front desk manager, but there was no formal reply. In fact, repairs to individual rooms can be completely avoided. Phenomenal experience here at Hyatt House in Sandton! Set in the suburbs of Johannesburg, this hotel provides a safe and tranquil environment. Rooms were super comfortable and had an apartment sort of setup with a stove, microwave, and mini fridge. In addition, the staff here are absolutely INCREDIBLE. I honestly cannot thank them enough. They are super kind and will make sure you have a great stay in Johannesburg. I didn’t like their cocktails menu🥺🥺 they don’t have classic ones. 90% of their cocktails are made with sminorf 18/18 which isn’t cool.

It’s conveniently close to Sandton City Mall, which made shopping and getting around very easy. The room was also clean and well-maintained, with housekeeping coming in daily, which I appreciated.
However, I did experience an ongoing issue with the room key card. Every time I returned to my room, the card wouldn’t open the door. This happened multiple times during my stay, and it became quite frustrating, especially when I had shopping bags or luggage with me. I had to carry everything downstairs to the reception to report the issue, only to be told someone would come assist. I’d then have to go back upstairs and wait, sometimes for quite a while. Occasionally, one of the cleaning staff was kind enough to open the door for me, which helped, but the inconsistency and inconvenience definitely affected my overall experience.FromSEK 680

I have stayed at the Quatermain before, and I am happy to say that the whole experience was once again just lovely! I had arrived VERY early on my check-in day and the staff made sure that I had a room well before the scheduled check-in time AND they upgraded me too!
The staff at the hotel are friendly, helpful and all round just a delight!! Even with the ongoing challenges that loadshedding (scheduled power outtages) brings to the smooth operation of any business.
The gardens are immaculate and tranquil, and it is unbelievable to think you are in the middle of everything with the peace and quiet that pervades.
The little bistro / restaurant's menu is thankfully limited, as it means that the quality can be assured and anything that is made tastes deliciously homemade. The evening buffet is very good value for money!

The room was clean and tidy, the temperature difference between day and night in Yoborg was large, there was floor heating, and it was not cold at night. The hotel arranged for the driver to pick us up to the Chinese restaurant at night and the service was thoughtful. I stayed here for two weeks. There was daily cleaning which was great. The room was clean and cozy and had everything I could need. The hotel was simple, nothing to complain about. The staff were great and friendly all the time. Some neighbors were loud but nothing to be scared of as I felt safe at all times. Unfortunately there was construction during my whole stay, but they were friendly too and kept the dust at a minimum. It was also a 5 minute Uber to Sandton which was a plus. Onomo Hotel’s proximity to Nelson Mandela Square Mall is a stone throw away, you literally just cross the small road from the mall exit point straight into the hotel
Their breakfast was good however there’s need to add on variety and vegetables!
