During this stay, we booked a triple room. Worried that the kids might roll off the beds while sleeping, we pushed two of the beds together ourselves. To our surprise, the housekeeping staff noticed this arrangement the next day during cleaning and thoughtfully changed it to a large bed sheet suitable for combined beds. This completely eliminated the gap between the two beds, so we no longer had to worry about anyone getting stuck in the middle. This thoughtful gesture from the housekeeper exceeded our expectations and the attention to detail was truly heartwarming. The original showerhead in the bathroom was a bit worn out, but after we reported it to the front desk, a maintenance person came up very quickly to replace and fix it. The water flow from the new showerhead was strong, and the response time for resolving the issue was impressive. The location offers a quiet retreat amidst the hustle and bustle—it's just a 7-8 minute walk to the main Myeongdong shopping district, and Gyeongbokgung Palace is only two or three subway stops away. There are a few convenience stores right downstairs, which is very convenient. Finally, they even helped me find my lost plush toy, and I was able to arrange a courier service for it myself. The breakfast was also good and very delicious.

We stayed at Aloft by Marriott Myeongdong for 5 nights. The location is unbeatable - convenient 5 mins walk to the main Myeongdong shopping and eating area. Around 7 minutes walk to Lotte Department Store and Shinsegae. The staff at front desk are all very courteous and nice. The rooms are clean and tidy. One thing though they will not touch our personal things in the bathroom, such as my hair curler was laying on top of some dirty towels and upon returning to my room, my curler and the dirty towels were left at the same spot. But their service is excellent - the first night we stayed the air-con was too hot and changing the thermostat did not work. So we called reception and stated the issue. They promptly sent a technician up to help fix the air-con, which afterwards worked fine, and the rooms were cool and we all slept very well. There's not a whole lot of facilities except a small gym though. Overall, a very nice stay at this hotel where the staff are attentive and nice, and they all speak fluent English. We'd choose this hotel again on our next stay in Seoul.

The Stanford Hotel Myeongdong boasts an excellent location. It's just a few minutes' walk to Euljiro 1(il)-ga Subway Station, which is on Line 2 and connects to Line 4 for Myeongdong Station and Seoul Station. Myeongdong Shopping Street is right downstairs, making dining, shopping, and getting around incredibly convenient. The airport limousine bus stop is also close by, located right in front of the Ibis Hotel. The room was clean, tidy, and well-lit, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering city views. The bedding was comfortable. The front desk staff were friendly, and there was even an uncle who spoke Chinese, making communication very smooth. The hotel is well-equipped with amenities like a laundry room and a gym. The only minor drawback is that the room is a bit small; it was a little inconvenient to walk around once we had two 24-inch suitcases open. Overall, it offers great value for money. If you're visiting Seoul and prioritize convenience, I highly recommend staying here.

The hotel's location is excellent. It's a 10-minute walk to Dongdaemun APM, and only a few minutes' walk to subway lines 2 and 5. Nearby, you'll find CU, GS25, and Coop supermarkets practically at your doorstep, along with three Olive Young stores and even an e-cigarette shop. There are also plenty of dining options, including fried chicken, soup, and Korean BBQ. The hotel reception is on the 3rd floor, and they can speak simple Chinese. The lobby offers free coffee and water. On the 3rd floor, there's a self-service laundry room for 4,000 KRW per use, and further inside, a self-service luggage storage area. The room was cleaned daily, and my stay was very quiet and comfortable! I missed the weekend, so the price was much cheaper, about a third of the weekend rate – hotels in Seoul are truly expensive on weekends!

I stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton Josun, Seoul Myeongdong for one night before flying out of ICN. My only requirement was that the hotel have easy access to the airport limousine route. While there is a stop a few steps from the hotel, we found that, given the time of our flight the following morning, we ultimately needed to use a different stop. We trekked the extra 10 minutes in the morning with our luggage, which was less than ideal, but ultimately worked out fine. The hotel was easy to access, tucked into a quiet corner of Myeongdong. While we arrived quite late in the evening, the staff was glad to receive us. The check-in instructions were simple and easy. We received a room on the 20th (I think) floor with a lovely view of the city. It was clean and well-appointed with space for four suitcases, which was necessary as we prepared to depart Korea with many new purchases. The famous Myeongdong walking street was only a 7-minute walk away, which is a major selling point. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a solo traveler, a pair, or a couple. The room is small, but clean, and the location is prime.

The room was great, located on the 23rd floor with a stunning lake view. When I booked, I selected a three-person meal option for two adults and one child. The price for a two-person meal and a three-person meal was different at the time of booking. However, upon arrival, the hotel informed me that one of the meals in my three-person package was a complimentary children's meal. Since my child is 13 years old, exceeding the 12-year age limit, they were not eligible for the free buffet breakfast, and I was asked to pay. To avoid disrupting our travel plans and mood, I paid for the meal. However, I find this explanation completely unacceptable. I purchased a three-person meal package, but at the hotel, it was treated as if I bought two meals and received one free. If I had known it was a complimentary meal from the hotel, why would I not just book the two-person meal package and save some money?! I urge Trip.com and the hotel to communicate and provide a satisfactory resolution.

The location of New Seoul is excellent, with subway lines 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 nearby. There's a very enthusiastic woman at the front desk who speaks Chinese. You can only top up your Wowpass at the front desk, not your Tmoney. There's a conveniently located Olive Young not far from the hotel. Cheonggyecheon Stream is just a 3-5 minute walk away, perfect for an evening stroll. Gwanghwamun and Gyeongbokgung Palace are about a 15-minute walk, and you can exit through the side gate of Gyeongbokgung to reach Bukchon Hanok Village. Myeongdong is also roughly a 15-minute walk, and Lotte Duty Free is very close to the hotel. The bedding is very comfortable.

The hotel is conveniently located right outside Gate 6001 of the airport bus stop (Hoehyeon Station), and there are subway entrances within a few minutes' walk in either direction. It's about a 15-minute walk to Myeongdong, which is a bit of a distance. There was a BBQ smell in the lower levels of the hotel, and I suspect the front desk assigns rooms based on nationality because the first thing I noticed upon entering my room was an unpleasant odor. The hotel fridge had complimentary drinks, and the bedding was very comfortable. It's the quality you'd expect from an InterContinental hotel, and the housekeeping and service were excellent; they cleaned the room promptly and thoroughly every day. Across from the hotel, at the entrance to Namdaemun Market, there's a rather simple restaurant that serves delicious knife-cut noodles. It was full of locals, and a small bowl was more than enough for a woman.

The hotel's facilities are decent, and the location is good, about 1.3 km from Myeongdong. There's a subway station nearby and a bus stop right outside. What I was most unhappy about was the thin older man at the front desk. His attitude was really stiff. After I checked out, I bought some fried chicken outside and wanted to sit on the lobby sofa to eat it, but he wouldn't let me. I told him I'd clean up after myself and take the trash with me, but he just said NO! What's the problem with me eating fried chicken in a corner? If he's worried about food smells, then why isn't he worried about the open-plan restaurant right next to the front desk!

The downside is that there were former employees striking outside the hotel the entire time. It seems this hotel treats its staff very poorly. The daily room cleaning was also done very late, probably because they laid off so many employees. For these reasons, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The location, however, is excellent. It's super convenient for getting to major shops in Myeongdong like Olive Young (though a bit far from the duty-free shop). The subway station is right downstairs, and there's also a very large 7-Eleven downstairs with spacious seating for instant noodles. Other stores like GS25 are also nearby, and a 12-story Daiso is just across the street. The hotel doesn't provide disposable dental kits, so you can just buy them directly from Daiso. Myeongdong Cathedral is right behind the hotel, and there are quite a few historical attractions in the vicinity. Luggage storage is very convenient, and check-in is self-service.

This hotel was definitely a highlight of our trip to Korea! The quad room was super comfortable for our family of four; we all slept soundly without disturbing each other. The room was also spacious enough for the kids to move around freely. The cleaning staff always greeted us with a warm smile and a friendly hello. Plus, Myeongdong, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and Bukchon Hanok Village were all within walking distance. And having a washer/dryer in the room was incredibly convenient! I didn't encounter any front desk staff who spoke Chinese, but simple English communication was fine. The only downside was that for our last three nights, we had Chinese neighbors who were incredibly loud. The woman would literally shout when she talked, as if she wanted everyone to know her secrets! Seriously, when you're traveling abroad, it's important to be mindful of your behavior!

I had actually noticed this hotel before. I used to stay at a hotel nearby and even came into this one specifically to take photos with the super-sized Brown bear in the lobby. So, before this trip, I made sure to look it up, and to my surprise, I was lucky enough to book a themed room! They said it would be a random rabbit or bear theme, but I was so fortunate to get my favorite Brown bear themed room. Check-in was at 3 PM, but I arrived at 2:20 PM and they actually let me check in early. The hotel staff were all very enthusiastic and always greeted me politely when I entered or left. The themed rooms are all on the 14th floor, and as soon as you step out of the elevator, you're greeted by adorable plushies. The room itself was incredibly cute, like stepping into a fairy tale and becoming good friends with Brown bear. The giant Brown bear on the sofa was super cute, and I also loved the blue sofa, though it showed some signs of age. The room facilities were all great, especially the TV channels – there were so many! For someone like me who loves to stay in the hotel, this was fantastic. There were even three or four channels with Chinese dramas, and even more movies and Korean dramas. The bathroom facilities were also good. I really liked that the bathtub and shower were separate; I don't like showering while standing in a tub. The only downside was that the exhaust fan was a bit noisy. I also have to praise their housekeeping speed. At other hotels, sometimes you put up the 'clean my room' sign and it doesn't get cleaned for hours, but here, it was always done very quickly and was spotlessly clean. I was particularly satisfied with this.

The room size was just right, not too big, not too small, and it had a balcony with a great view for watching the sunrise – absolutely stunning! I’ve uploaded pictures of the view at different times of the day for everyone’s reference. The transportation is incredibly convenient; there are several subway lines right downstairs to choose from, and as soon as you step out, there are all sorts of dining options. The mall is also right downstairs, making it super easy to buy anything you need! Most importantly, I love to run, and this hotel is very close to Cheonggyecheon Stream, which is a dream come true for running enthusiasts! It's a 5km one-way run, making it 10km round trip! Fantastic! The hotel breakfast was also a highlight; the fried chicken, noodles, and mixed salads were absolutely delicious! Plus, the front desk staff were very friendly. When we arrived, there was even a guide who spoke Chinese, which was very nice! I'll definitely choose this place again next time! Unforgettable Seoul, you brought me endless surprises!

However, one aspect we found disappointing was the strict minimum spending requirement per guest. We were traveling with children, yet regardless of their age, we were required to meet a minimum spend of approximately $150 per person to be seated at both the terrace restaurant and the Japanese restaurant. Even at the Italian restaurant, we felt pressured to order both appetizers and main courses for the children. While the food and service were excellent, these policies made dining with a family feel less welcoming and detracted from an otherwise outstanding stay.

Location is perfect and unbeatable! Good comfortable beds with decent sized room. However, the breakfast is absolutely awful. Toaster is broken, no sugar and poor service staff. Terrible and limited selection of food. Do yourself a favour and do not buy their breakfast. Quality is really bad! Also, the bathtub was small and high which was a danger to my mum. Lastly, front of hotel is a tiny slip road which Uber cabs do not wish to come in. Otherwise, do choose this just for location if nothing else.

Eggdrop and Issac toast are less than 10min walk. Highly recommend this hotel and I will book this hotel in future.

I booked this room for 2300 a night with a friend. I saw some bloggers on Xiaohongshu saying the rooms were small and the ceilings were low, but honestly, it wasn't too bad (maybe because it was my first time staying at a 5-star hotel, so I don't know how good other 5-stars are). I'd recommend booking an afternoon tea on Naver. After checking in, change and enjoy afternoon tea. In the evening, the lobby has a total old money vibe, perfect for photos. If you're only staying one night, I highly recommend it, especially if you can get a good price! We originally booked a room with a regular view, but the front desk offered us a Namsan view room, though it was next to the elevator. They asked if we were okay with it, and we immediately said yes. However, if you're a light sleeper, definitely don't agree to it, because from around 6 AM onwards, you can hear the elevator going up and down.

I was satisfied with the full cleaning service offered for stays of 3 nights or more.

The Korean receptionist at the front desk had a terrible attitude during check-in. There was a Caucasian guest in front of me, and after he was done, the Korean man kept his head down, doing something on the computer. I waited for him to finish, but he just kept clicking away without looking up. After waiting for a while, I handed him my passport to check in. It was around 4 PM, and we wanted our two rooms on the same floor. He then started 'processing' our check-in, clicking on the computer for a very long time without any explanation. I must have stood there for at least five minutes. My friend eventually got impatient and asked him why it was taking so long, telling him to 'hurry.' Only then did he say he was arranging the floors. After that, he quickly finalized everything. One room was ready for immediate check-in, and the other was waiting to be cleaned.

The two queen-sized beds (1.51m each) were incredibly spacious for two people. Housekeeping kept the room spotless every single day. The service here truly stands out; when we needed a taxi, the front desk attendant called one for us, which turned out to be much cheaper than using an app like Didi. He even helped us with our luggage, bringing it up and down, and waited until our car drove away before leaving. Downstairs, there's a fantastic selection of food, including clam kalguksu which was perfect for our Chinese palate, and a roast chicken place that’s packed from morning till night – really lively and bustling!

The Shilla Seoul is by far the most comfortable hotel I stayed at during this trip to Seoul. Having had a great experience at the Jeju Shilla previously, I wanted to see how the Seoul property would compare. The bedding was comfortable, and the shower had fantastic water pressure—the kind where you can actually have a proper shower. They use Dyson hair dryers instead of the old-fashioned ones, which was quite nice. As for the service, the staff all had rather professional, practiced smiles; I just wish they could be a bit warmer to Chinese guests! I loved the smoked salmon at The Library bar—it was insanely delicious with top-notch quality, plus it came with my beloved dill! We ate it for several days in a row! The live singers, both male and female, were quite good and created a great atmosphere! However, a middle-aged male waiter with glasses at the bar was rather snobbish and treated Chinese guests differently. Also, the legendary pastries from the bakery were, in my opinion, quite mediocre. On the downside, the pillows were much too high, which could easily give you a stiff neck. The room rates have gone up a bit ridiculously. You don't need an adapter to charge your devices, and there are plenty of outlets in the room, which is a big plus! Established luxury hotels are still a safe bet, and you can see quality in the details.

Let's start with the pros: 1. The hotel's location is excellent, right behind Shinsegae Department Store, and only about a 5-minute walk to Myeongdong shopping street. 2. There's a subway station downstairs, and the surrounding area offers plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options. 3. The hotel's style leans more towards medieval Baroque. If you're not particularly fond of this somewhat quirky decor, I'd suggest reconsidering. However, for a unique travel experience, this hotel is definitely a plus. 4. There are three Michelin-starred restaurants right on the hotel's upper floors, making it very convenient for food lovers. Cons: No significant issues with the hotel. Worth staying, haha!

The Ambassador Seoul - A Pullman Hotel offers an overall good stay experience with a convenient location, close to the Gangnam commercial district and Sinnonhyeon Station. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the bedding is excellent, and the soundproofing is also good. The front desk and concierge services are professional, promptly assisting with calling taxis and handling luggage. The gym, swimming pool, and executive lounge are all up to standard, and the breakfast has a rich variety. This was a hotel I would have been willing to recommend to friends. However, what happened at the breakfast restaurant made me furious, and I must write about it: I went to the breakfast restaurant wearing slippers and was stopped by the staff, who said slippers were not allowed. I understood at first, but then I noticed several white guests inside the restaurant dining normally in slippers. When I asked why they were allowed and I wasn't, the staff actually rolled their eyes at me with a contemptuous attitude, and only then changed their story to say that ”outdoor slippers are allowed, but indoor slippers are not.” I completely cannot accept this explanation and the so-called definition of slippers. First, there are no clear signs at the entrance stating ”indoor slippers are not allowed, outdoor slippers are allowed.” Second, the staff did not explain clearly at first and simply blocked me rudely. Third, wearing the same type of slippers, white guests were allowed in while I was stopped and given an eye-roll. Fourth, the rules were only added after I argued, which made me strongly feel subjected to differential treatment and discrimination. This is not about slippers; it is an issue of inconsistent rule enforcement, failure in communication, and a lack of respect. I demand that hotel management investigate the staff on duty at the breakfast restaurant that day, issue an apology to me, and retrain the breakfast staff: unify standards, provide clear signage, communicate politely, and prohibit any differential treatment of guests based on nationality, skin color, or language. Otherwise, I will file a formal complaint with Accor Group and the booking platform. Overall, the hotel's hardware and services are commendable, but this experience at the breakfast restaurant severely drags down the brand image. The accommodation can be recommended, but the breakfast service must be overhauled. I hope the hotel will not brush this off as a ”communication misunderstanding”—this is a matter of whether guests are treated fairly and with respect.

It's not too far from anywhere, but not particularly close either... Family travel. Our room has two double beds, spacious enough for one adult one child each bed. Room itself was not big. The bathroom was out of proportion big (with a tub but no walk in shower so small kids would need help to get in and out). The location was prime for shopping. Check out time was 12pm, so morning shopping was possible as the nearby tourist stores were all.open by 10am on the Sunday we were there. It was a 10 to 15 easy, level walk to the famous abalone congee restaurants.

Stayed for three nights, and overall it was good. Pros: 1. The hotel is very close to the 6002 airport bus stop. After getting off, it's a 3-5 minute walk in the opposite direction. However, the bus stop for Incheon Airport is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel, near Exit 11 of Jongno 3-ga subway station. I recommend scouting it out beforehand. You can scan the attached QR code for stop information. 2. The room space is decent. The bunk beds in the quad room are both 1.35 meters wide, which was perfect for us traveling with a child. It might be a bit cramped for two adults. 3. There are many eateries downstairs. The alleys behind the hotel are full of bars and fried chicken and beer places, making it very lively at night. It felt like mostly local Koreans were dining there. 4. The public area on the seventh floor offers self-service instant noodles and food. There's a microwave and hot water. While drinks and instant noodles are charged, they are cheaper than convenience stores. Note that only credit card payments are accepted. 5. The hotel provided all the essentials for our stay. Although we brought our own, it shows the hotel's thoughtful management – truly commendable!👍🏻 6. It's very convenient to get to Dongdaemun by subway, just two stops direct with minimal walking. However, when heading towards Myeongdong/Shinsegae, there's a lot of walking involved for transfers within the station. If you have children, you might consider taking a taxi directly (₩6500-7000). Very Noisy! The room (mine was 1201) is directly under the 24 hour lounge. This made banging and popping noises above me all night especially at 3 am. I didn’t get good sleep and got to the airport with a bad mood. The view was nice and the room was clean but if you value a quiet peaceful stay do NOT stay here. Also, the speaker announced a message into the room at 7pm which made me feel like I was in a busy hospital and not a luxury hotel. The hotel informed me this was a public service reminder about the smoking policy but it sounded as if it could have been emergency instructions.

The hotel is located near a large outlet mall, but other than that, the area isn't very lively; it's more like an industrial zone. Its main advantage is its proximity to the convention center. Most of the guests are tour groups from India and Indonesia, and the smell of spices is incredibly strong – a real olfactory test in the elevators and restaurant! The hotel room itself was alright, but the bathroom outlet was broken. Not only was the cover falling off, but the hairdryer wouldn't stay plugged in unless you bent over and held it directly in front of the outlet. Everything else was acceptable, I suppose.
