Top 10 Beach Bums Hotels

Breakfast is going to add money, 13 dollars a person. The parking lot can choose to stop by itself, which is a large open space across the road. If we are afraid of insecurity, let the hotel staff stop and there is no charge, just pick up the car and give it to you.

Me and my husband booked a room for our anniversary and I have to say I enjoyed myself. I showed up late for my room reservation but everyone was very nice and gave us no trouble. The room was amazing and the beds were very comfortable. The oak tree cafe was delicious for lunch and breakfast. The Casino floor staff was very nice and helped us figure out what we would like to drink from the bar. I have no complaints about my stay. 

It was our first time at The Golden Nugget. We were disappointed in the signage directions—we had to search on our own for the hotel check-in counter. Even though it was evening there were no staff on the floor to help and only one security guard was noted. We were celebrating our anniversary and were especially looking forward to the buffet meal only to find out it had been closed for sometime—even though it is advertised on your website. Another let-down was no slot machines available. Our hotel room was nice but overall the trip was disappointing!

When we arrived at 6pm the front desk said there was a wait for clean rooms and they could take our luggage and call us when a room was ready. There were other people waiting for rooms as well. Thankfully they found a room before I left the front desk and accommodated us! Great place for kids and adults alike. Will be returning.

We were texting with Ivy, their supposed concierge, who sent us a link for room service. The link didn’t work. We called the front desk and stated we wanted to order room service. They connected us to Mix and Mingle, the restaurant, but no one ever picked up the phone. We were encouraged to leave a VM. After waiting about 45 minutes for a return call, we called the front desk back. Even they couldn’t get anyone to answer from Mix and Mingle. So I asked the front desk not take our order and give it to Mix and Mingle and have it delivered to our room. After about one hour of waiting for our food, it was delivered and not all of it was there. Yet, we were charged for an item we didn’t receive. I then called the front desk and they told Mix and Mingle. Finally, after another hour, the tacos were delivered. By this time, we didn’t want them, not could we eat them. When we went to check out, the front desk refused to edit the bill and stated the food service supervisor would have to help us. She was supposed to be coming right over from the ****** to help us as we were checking out. Again, we waited about 30 minutes, and she never showed. We had to leave. We are very unhappy with the total quality or lack there of, regarding the hotel, staff, service and especially Mix and Mingle. The non-smoking rooms still reek of cigarette smoke and smell. This was a very unpleasant experience and we will not be going back there. We have already booked a stay at the Beau Rivage for a few days from now. Hopefully, with a better outcome!

This hotel is modern and clean! Beach is great and you can walk to at least 4 great restaurants. The Beach is clean and quiet. Highly recommend and will return. By the way, the people in MS are the nicest I’ve ever met! Other reviews say there’s no public bathrooms. Not true.

I stayed here just over a year ago when the hotel left a lot to be desired/swore I'd never return. I was thrilled to learn about the recent renovation and decided to give it another try since the location is convenient for my purposes and the price was good. They've done a really nice job renovating the hotel - the rooms and common parts are very clean and bright, there's new furniture in the rooms and the staff were incredibly nice and very helpful. However, instead of the 4 nights we had originally booked, we left after just one night due to the mattress. I have a bad back and there was no support so I got virtually no sleep! I asked if we could change rooms but was told the mattresses are the same in every room! The staff were very good about letting us checkout early with no penalty but it was disappointing since if there had been a firmer mattress, we would have been very happy to spend 4 nights there. I'm a Bonvoy Titanium member and frequently stay in Courtyards (and multiple other Marriott brands) but have never experienced any Marriott hotel mattress with as little support as this one. If they ever add some different, much firmer mattresses for those of us with bad backs, I would definitely return - but not until then!

Very nice property that is poorly maintained. Although the following were included in an email to me prior to my visit, NONE OF THE FOLLOWING WERE AVAILABLE ON OUR 4th of July VACATION: Made to order breakfast (instead, wet powered eggs and a chafing dish of grits) Bar (oh! There WAS a bar. It was just not EVER OPEN) Room service upon request (NEVER made our room, delivered clean towels, ran out of tissues and toilet paper and had to go to front desk for more which appeared to take as much effort to get me these supplies as it took to build the pyramids in Egypt!) There wasn’t even an ink pen or pad in the room! Obviously I am disappointed by the lack of service at this Hilton property! The room price is high and service non-existent. The owners should pay their workers more because those who showed up for work deserve it and are obviously overwhelmed by the amount of work that is presented to them. This property is the WORSE MANAGED HILTON PROPERTY I have ever had the displeasure of staying!
