The Florian is a chalet on a grand scale backing onto a large garden with (unheated) swimming pool and many restful nooks. The rooms are comfortable and modern, those at the front having magnificent views of the Alpe di Siusi, and those at the back looking out on the garden. There is a road in front of the hotel but the traffic is not frequent enough to be disturbing. Breakfasts are ample and dinner a splendid parade of the best in Austro-Italian cuisine, with a good list of wines from nearby and other Italian regions. The waiting staff are efficient and pleasant, with excellent memories enabling them to anticipate your wishes after a day or two. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the centre and much quieter than most hotels in the town. A shuttle bus (number 5) stops right outside the door and goes straight to the cable car station in less than 10 minutes. This is a family hotel so expect a number of children among the guests. A thoroughly enjoyable place to stay, preferably for an unhurried long week-end or week in the Dolomites.

We stayed for 5 nights in the X-Alp hotel during our summer holiday/honeymoon. Everything was perfect! The staff helped us to plan our daily activities and they're extremely friendly and helpful both in the reception and in the restaurant. The spa section was tastefully decorated and a perfect ending for an active day on the mountains. The breakfast wasn't so versatile, but you find every morning something to fill up your plate. The best thing in the breakfast was the cake table with several different tasty pleasures. Kiitos, kaikki oli erinomaista! :)

Für den Zeitraum Anfang bis Mitte November ein Wellnesshotel zu finden, in dem Hunde nicht nur willkommen sind, sondern auch zum Essen mitgenommen werden können, ist ein sehr schwieriges Unterfangen. Daher waren wir happy, dass Hotel Rosengarten zu finden, dass neben seiner Abgelegenheit und somit Ruhe auch mit großem Spa-Angebot (schöner Wellnessbereich, Massagen, Gesichtsbehandlungen und Indoorpool) punkten konnte. 2 Massagen hatten wir bei der Zimmerreservierung gleich mitgebucht und vorab auch alles bezahlt. Die Lage war dann auch sehr gut. Ziemlich abgelegen und ruhig. Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal und großes Zimmer waren dann aber auch schon das Positiviste. Das man beim Essen mit Hund separiert wird, war uns schon bewusst. Dass der Raum aber nicht geheizt ist und somit das beste Essen nicht schmeckt, war schon der erste negative Eindruck. Da am zweiten Abend immer noch nicht eingeheizt war, haben wir das bei der netten Bedienung reklamiert. Es wurde auch sofort der Holzofen angeheizt, jedoch so unprofessionell, dass der Raum einer Räucherkammer glich. Daher wurden alle Fenster aufgerissen und es wurde noch kälter, als zuvor. Der Appetit war dann auch wieder vorbei. Negativer Höhepunkt war aber, dass die gebuchten Massagen einen Tag vor Inanspruchnahme per Mail!!! und nicht persönlich storniert wurden. Sehr ärgerlich, da diese ein Geburtstagsgeschenk für meine Lebensgefährtin sein sollte. Auch die im Internet angebotenen Gesichtsbehandlungen, die ebenfalls ein Geschenk sein sollten, gab es gar nicht. Die Ruhe im Hotel war dann auch vorbei, als eine Familie mit Kinder ein Zimmer auf unserer Etage bezog. Trampelnd und schreiend wurde bis tief in die Nacht gelärmt, so dass an erholsamen Schlaf nicht zu denken war. Fernsehen konnte man dann auch nicht, da es nur ARD, ZDF und ORF als deutschsprachiges Programm gab. Auf den Lärm angesprochen, gab es nur ein Achselzucken an der Rezeption. Daher beschlossen wir unseren Aufenthalt vorzeitig abzubrechen. Etwas schwach, dass niemand nachgefragt hat, warum wir früher als gebucht heimfahren. Das einzig wirklich lobenswerte in diesem Hotel ist der Wellnessbereich mit mehreren Saunen und dem schönen Indoorpool. Dafür erhalten Sie auch den einen Stern. Ansonsten Enttäuschung pur.

We stayed here with dog and baby, the room was large, with an entry furnished very practically to keep the dresses and shoes, parachutes, bags, etc. wide bathroom with bidet, tin, towels, everything very clean. The beds are comfortable and of good quality, large. Brink is generous and fresh, there is everything you can ask: corns, fresh bread, cereals, different types of milk, meat, salads, and lxs messerxs are very kind, always ready to help. The best thing is the service: I forgot some shoes and they made me a pleasure to send them back by mail without cost. If we return to Ortisei, we will return to this place. Thank you for everything!
