A stay at Regnum Bansko is definitely worth. Quitely located in the upper area of the town, a short walk from the gondola station, this hotel offers everything that one needs for a nice holiday: indoor and outdoor swimming pools, water slides, sporting fields, whirlpool, massage rooms. The hotel has a dependency in the nearby Banya village where several pools with thermal water at temperatures between 28 and 39 °C can be used free of charge by the hotel guests. The suites are spacious enough and can accommodate families with up to four children. The hotel restaurant offers a variety of dishes of the national and international cuisine, a huge salad bar, desserts, fruit and vegetables. The opening hours are long enough for all visitors and there is enough of everything everytime so one doesn't need to hurry to get his favourite dish. The staff is very kind and client oriented. All requests are satisfied within a few minutes, no matter at what time of the day or night. I can only conclude with my children's now and then asking ”When are we going again to this great five-star hotel in Bansko?”

No sign posting, whole place looks like a labirynth if you are there for the first time. Even reception has no posting, and as it is sideway to the main road, hard to find. A friend drove us to the place and was told if she does not leave within 10 to 15 min will be charged parking fee. We were placed in a room in Downtown 3 just above the disco club (apparently called piano bar melody) which seemed to work about 24 hrs. At 12 am the music was so loud I called reception and asked for assistance. They promised to help, but after one hour without any change I called them again and was told receptionist was alone and not able to come to the club. Instead he asked me to go down and ask for silence (!). I asked if I could have the room changed but needed help with a porter and some drive as the place is really huge. Not possible, had to come to reception, get the key and then move myself with all luggage and my 7 year old sleeping son to the new room. Not feasible at 1 am of course. I had to call 112 twice. As a result, after 2 am the music went slightly down. At 5.30 am I woke up, music was still being played.. Breakfast in the main restaurant average. French restaurant also average. The biggest problem of the place is that you need your room card to go through the hotel and spa area but if you are staying outside the hotel part your card does not work for the hotel and spa. You need another card for the spa which does not work everywhere. At 8.30 pm on our way out from the spa my son and I ended up locked in a tiny area about 4 Sq. M. with 3 doors which our two cards did not open. Dark, no people, hard to tell where you are. Luckily I had my phone with me so called reception to ask for help. We even did not know where we were. Very frustrated experience. Would not recommend this place at all.

We stayed at the Tanne Hotel during our 9 day ski vacation. All in all we took up 5 rooms, which were neat and welcoming, with a feeling of cleanliness overall. I was there with my wife and 4 year old and it was great for us. The ski lift was within walking distance (which didn't matter much since it couldn't get you anywhere, due to the number of people, but that's another story for another time) and there was ample parking for all guests. The real highlights of the place were the Spa area, which included a pool, a jacuzzi, several saunas, massage, showers and lounge chairs, and the restaurant. In fact, the restaurant deserves its own paragraph. Large and welcoming, the staff was professional and always ready to pick up on us needing them. While English wasn't a string point of the waiters, they spoke more than enough to never get our orders wrong and they were super friendly and welcoming. And the food - oh my god the food. If you're not from the Balkans, you owe it to yourself to try the soups here, as well as the lamb and the sausage, but really, everything on the menu was brilliant. I give this place a solid 10. There is no hot water bathing, no slippers and toothbrushes. The hotel staff are unlocking the room when we are not there. I feel that our stuff has been turned over and the order is written on 61 euros and two rooms to the store to pay 65 euros when swimming. The clothes locked in their cabinets can also be opened and stolen by 200 euros.

The hotel is very new, with clean, tidy and comfortable rooms. The location is excellent, with the business district just outside the door, making shopping and dining very convenient. It is about 300 meters away from the cable car station and there is a large free parking lot next to it. Highly recommended.
