We had a work conference here over the weekend, so no choice in where we stay as there was a block rate for rooms. From pictures it looked like it was going to be a very nice stay in a good location close to Polaris. Parking is very slim here when there are multiple conferences going on and we had to park in the overflow lot several times. When we checked in the clerk was very friendly and we had no issues. We had a King Suite w/ Sofa Sleeper Room. The room was average at best, the carpet didn't look like it had been swept with crumbs and such on it. The bed was hard as a rock with lumpy pillows (probably the worst 3 nights of sleep I have had in a long time). The A/C/Heater is so loud its like an airplane coming into land and woke us up every single time it kicked on. It was so bad the 3rd night we slept with it completely shut off. The bathroom was very small and I had no hot water when showering for the 3 days I was here. I feel like they dont have a large enough water heating system to properly supply hot water when the hotel is at capacity which it was this weekend. The water pressure was also weak and hard to rinse the soap of your hair or body. It is not ideal on how the bathroom is set up either as I needed to be up early for my conference daily while my family was trying to sleep. There is no door in the sink area so you have to blind the rest of the room to get ready, there is only a small pocket door that closes for the shower and toilet. Poor design if you're traveling with others. The conference facilty is across from the hotel section and you have to walk outside to get there. There were multiple conferences going on and we were in the rear portion, the conference area is clean and well maintained. The chairs were extremely uncomfortable and we had no tables which made for two days of classroom learning pretty miserable, not sure if the hotel it to blame or our organization on this one, but other rooms appeared to have nicer chairs and table set up. The food that was served for the conference was excellent quality and there were always cold and hot drinks available which was very nice. The Bar area was huge and poured good drinks, the worst part again is it is not connected to the hotel and you do have to walk outside to get there. The Fitness Center was great and had everything you could need for a hotel gym, treadmills, bikes, elliptical, water machine, towels etc. Overall I would not choose to stay here for a trip unless it was necessary for the conference as the hotel room quality was not up to par.

This one made me have the urge to say a few words, the purpose is to let everyone avoid pitfalls. I feel that the hotel spends all the money on the lobby, I don’t even want to take pictures of the bathroom, it’s too small, please forgive us ordinary people who don’t understand the concept and purpose of the design. We were given a room connected to the next door. We opened the door here and made sure the room next door was closed. It would be embarrassing if it happened! The price of 18XX, but even a 500ml bottle of water has to be charged an additional $2. I don’t deserve it. Fortunately, I brought my own water and put it together for a photo to commemorate stepping on thunder! But what is consoling is that the steakhouse Eddie Merlot's opposite is worth trying. The taste of steak and other meals is really amazing!

I really cannot come up with a single issue, that’s how good this hotel is! I want to start by setting expectations, this is in a semi-expensive area of Columbus and I had a 1 king, 1 bedroom suite for change out of $130. Included in that was a free breakfast. A lot of times, low prices exist for a reason, not here. Everything about my stay was perfect. The lobby, common areas, courtyard, fitness center, and business center were all well maintained and appointed, and were never too crowded. They do have an indoor pool, but it was closed for maintenance. Massive thumbs up to the IHG website which made that extremely clear during booking. As for the employees, every single person I talked to was super friendly and nice. The breakfast was great and the hallways were also fine. As for security, each door requires a key, and the lobby does between certain times. Additionally, you do have the standard RFID, and flip out lock, set up on the door. The room had no cleanliness issues, a comfy couch, wonderful bed, nice bathroom, and kitchen. The bedroom/bathroom was separated from the living room/kitchen/entrance by a door. Also, this is small, but they actually put shower gel in the shower!! Tubimos un servicio muy bueno, comoda variada, caliente y deliciosa, yo regresaría a este hotel, es céntrico, todo esta cerca, restaurantes, el zoológico, la ciudad, etc solamente el servicio a la habitación lo solocite y no lo hicieron :(

Breakfast is the standard breakfast at the Holiday Inn. It is not very special. There are plenty of choices, yogurt, fruit, coffee, milk, bacon and eggs. Holiday Inn's price/performance ratio is high in the US, and the texture of sheets and quilts is the best in a chain hotel in the United States. The environment is very quiet. It’s about 100 meters away from the main road, so I can’t hear anything. There are a lot of fast foods around and easy to eat.
