Top 10 Gate House Hotels

We loved our stay! We were very surprised to arrive to our room to flowers, chocolates, a bottle of wine, and a happy anniversary card! The hotel was clean and breakfast was good. The staff at the desk and breakfast were lovely and very accommodating! We would definitely stay here again!

My wife and I started our weekend business trip/visit with family for Easter on Friday, April 15,2022 by entering our room (230) to find a stink bug climbing the wall. We didn’t notice any others and brushed it off as we know they can be anywhere. Being woken up in the middle of the night yelling because one was in our bed on her leg was not fun and rather concerning. She was ready to pack up and leave. This morning as we were preparing to check out we found another on our comforter. (Picture attached) Almost more concerning was the response we received from the front desk employee whose response when we voiced our concern was,”yeah that’s kinda what happens here, they’re native to the area and come in the vents”. No apology, no sympathetic reaction. Unfortunately in a business where customer service is so important, I am very disappointed in this stay and response from the staff. This event is something I will certainly take into account when traveling in the future. If there is no concern on the part of the Hampton Inn and Hilton Group about “native bugs” I suggest adding a disclaimer that you may be sharing your room with stink bugs right on your website.

WV very good local hotel, the price is cheaper, breakfast is also rich, I lived for 15 days, but it takes 10 days to check in again, very fantastic rules, often the room left to clean the paper is still warm, bathroom There are 3 sets of towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, mouthwash, moisturizer, hair dryer, soap, just like most American hotels, there are no slippers and drinking water.

The hotel was smaller for a Hilton but great. The hotel staff was very friendly and polite. We bought a package with breakfast and the breakfast was a menu with options cooked to order. The pool was small and crowded with kids the day I went but that happen and isn't the hotels fault. There is a shopping center and restaurants in walking distance which it great when traveling. My basic room had a refrigerator, microwave and Keurig. Our room was quiet an clean with a great air conditioner.

From our check in and welcome experience we knew we were in good hands. Our gift bags with snacks and bottled water were a wonderful surprise. Our room was very nicely appointed and it was obvious that the staff take pride in their work. We traveled to Martinsburg along with other family members and close friends. This gave us the opportunity to view multiple rooms and everyone was pleased with their accommodations. Our breakfast was delicious and I really appreciated the sausage and gravy! It is one of my favorites. Other choices included yogurt, fruit, baked goods, hard boiled eggs, savory potatoes and individual omelettes. Overall it was a great experience and I’m confident that we will be booking the Fairfield in Martinsburg again in the future.

We arrived before check-in and our room was ready. The location is good for visiting the Hollywood ****** and Racetrack, a shuttle will take you there if you don't want to drive. Harpers Ferry is close and worth an afternoon trip. The beds and pillows were comfortable and although the Hotel was booked, we experienced a very quiet night and a good night's sleep. Breakfast was good. Would stay here again.
