Prolongacion Matamoros #115 Colonia Valle De Atongo, Tepoztlan, Morelos, Mexico
"My wife and I visited Amomoxtli to celebrate a birthday with her sister and niece, who cake separately. The resort is gorgeously lush, with well-manicured grounds, friendly staff, and fine cuisine. The room was quiet, with no television... just what one needs to relax. The shower was spacious, with a large rain shower head. The small goodies bag was cute, but I recommend you get sunscreen, as it is not in the goodie bag, and is definitely needed. The advanced weather report said it would rain every day, but not usually all day. And the pool is outstanding - with two hot tubs for social distancing. With the exception of a little mixup between my wife and her sister’s names, the stay was a great getaway from my home during this COVID-19 situation. Everyone on the staff was masked and willing to help in every way possible. The spa features we enjoyed were massages, yoga and a traditional music experience. Only an hour and a half from Mexico City, and 5 minutes from downtown Tepoztlan, I highly recommend you visit Amomoxtli. Ask for the tour with Cesar to be your guide above the pyramid, for an outside excursion. "
"Spent 3 days here for a wedding in town. After having a stressful trip from NYS I was put at ease as soon as I stepped out of the cab. Very friendly staff, there was always someone who could speak English near by. Breakfast was amazing and dinner service was wonderful. Had two amazing servers for almost every meal. Special thanks to Alvin for treating me and my family with the utmost care and attention. 10/10 would come again"
"If you are looking for an amazing, relaxing and well being place. This is it! The attention of the personnel is absolutely perfect. They have taken all necessary measures for COVID and they excel at it. The food is delicious. Seriously look no further and enjoy the hospitality and beauty of Amomoxtli."

Ricardo Linares numero 107 Colonia Centro, Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico
"39 years ago, after reading wonderful reviews of the restaurant, I stopped here for lunch on the way to Taxco and was amazed at this lovely property hidden behind walls. Later, when looking for a quiet, romantic location for a wedding 32 years ago, I suggested Las Mananitas to my now husband. He drove down from Mexico City while on business to scope it out and at first, could not understand why I would choose this particular hotel. Until he walked through the doors. We were only the second couple to be married there and our guests were enchanted with everything. Fast forward to 2020 and we were finally able to return. And Las Mananitas did not disappoint. A lovely garden suite overlooking the pool with a large terrace was our home. The room was as spacious and charming as we remembered. The exceptional service is still the norm along with the delicious meals served. Breakfast was included every day; we enjoyed the peacocks and birds strutting around the gorgeous grounds as we drank our morning coffee. The new-to- us addition of the spa is a nice touch. Can you imagine laying by the pool and having peacocks at your feet and a giant tortoise sauntering by? Such is Las Mananitas."
"A very well known place in the city to have lunch in a beautiful garden. The food is good. After many years of visiting the restaurant we finally stayed at the hotel for a week, when there were not many guests. We were upgraded from a nice and cosy room to a big suite with terrace. We did not like it at all. It was dark and the furniture old and it did not smell too good. The bathroom was outdated with a terrible tiny bathtub with a plastic curtain. At the weekend when more guests arrived you could hear everything from the other room. It was very loud even in the middle of the night. We stay every year for a couple of weeks in Cuernavaca in different hotels, but we would not return to that. The price is much too high. It would need updated rooms. It should not belong to the Relais and Château!"
"Las Mananitas is a world-class hotel and is by far the best property in Cuernavaca. Stunningly beautiful grounds, classy and gorgeous rooms and balconies, and delicious food - it does not get any better than this. Highly recommended! We arranged our own private transportation to and from Mexico City using Arturo Galindo (1 Taxi Seguro) and were very pleased with his transportation services."

Rio Amacuzac numero 10 Esquina Chilpancingo, Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico
"This is a first class hotel with spa. Our room, Di Chirico, was spacious but a bit dark since there is only one main window. Even with the shades wide open in the middle of the day, there is not much light. I was always surprised how sunny it was outside because of the darkness inside. There is enough lighting to read and there is plenty of lighting in the bathroom. The shower and the toilet are each behind glass doors while the two sinks were out front side by side next to the bedroom. There is no door between the bathroom and the bedroom but this was not a problem. The bed is large and comfortable and looks out of the only window onto the patio. There was a coffee table with two chairs and a desk area with desk chairs. The WiFi was excellent. The TV has Netflix and Prime but no English TV except Al Jeezera which is not a favorite. We asked why they did not have at least CNN and they said they would look into it. Also operating the TV is tricky. We needed a completely new box and a session on how to turn it on. Eventually everything worked but then we had to leave. Service is very attentive. Most of the staff has limited English but the front desk has several people with excellent English so it was not a problem. The concierge guided us to many interesting spots in Cuernavaca and Uber works well throughout the city so very safe. We had excellent massages in the small spa - very relaxing and with a good steam bath. Mexican breakfasts are not a favorite of mine since I don’t like eggs. However, the bread basket had some good selections and the juice was fresh and delicious. We ate dinner once there and it was good but not wonderful. Plenty of other places to go and the front desk helped us find them. Although it was too cold to swim, the pool is large and can accommodate lap swimming. Probably great if it is not winter! It is not heated but one couple went in anyway. We were very pleased with our stay and although we will probably not come back to Cuernavaca, we would stay there if we did. I think we were the only Americans in the hotel."
"We stayed 5 nights in February- the hotels excellent website highlighted the many places to visit in the area. The hotel is stunning- an excellent room, a stunning garden and ambience, a beautiful pool, an outstanding restaurant and overall great service. It was a lovely place to stay. We also enjoyed our visits to the Robert Brady House (a real find), the Jardins de Mexico (outstanding), and Xochicalco archaelogical site. Disappointingly, the Hernan Cortez museum is closed and has been closed for several years (earthquake damage), and the Jardin Borda no doubt was once beautiful, but unfortunately no longer. We were told that Tepotzlan was worth a visit, and it might be on certain days- provided that is not the height of Carnival when it feels half of Mexico City descends on the town- we spent several hours in traffic queues- perhaps the hotel might have warned us. Overall, I made a great choice regarding the hotel, but a poor choice to stay in Cuernevavca- having spent 2 weeks now in Mexico I know that there are better places to visit."
"Gorgeous little hotel, boutique hotel. Everyone from the valet, to reception (Mrs. Aurelia Morales Brito such an sweetheart), to the pool area...everyone makes you feel so welcome, you don't want to leave. The room was very modern, comfortable, nice to be inside. Very well kept grounds and rooms. The service at the pool area was superb. The pool a bit small, but for few rooms, nothing bigger is really needed. Food was great, a bit high in price, but since you are in the pool or in your room, the comfortable thing is to order in. The restaurant id delicious. And the spa amazing!! (ask for Cynthia, whom has hands of an angel...amazing massage! Also Judith is excellent in all spa treatments, they both make you feel lost in space and time)"

Jardinera No. 14, Barrio Santisima Trinidad, Tepoztlan, Morelos, Mexico
"The hotel is practically new, everything very well maintained. Although staff is not trained to serve as in a 5 star hotel, they all do their best, putting all their effort to serve, with a very friendly attitude. We were in a master suite, with lots of space and a jacuzzi in the room. The terrace restaurant is very nice, with a great view of the mountains. However, breakfast was average. The entrance to the mountain climb as well as the centre of the city are within a few blocks. Very recommended."
"The hotel is very nice, but we had a horrible experience during our stay. There was a large group of young people who did not let anybody sleep. They were extremely drunk and they were singing and yelling outside their rooms. We complained to the hotel staff several times but they could not do anything to quiet the group down. Every time the security guard asked them to be quiet they got louder and more disrespectful. I requested a refund and the hotel denied it."

"My husband and I spent the weekend at Casa Fernanda in beautiful Tepoztlán. The hotel is stunning, beautiful grounds and friendly staff. Our spa treatments were incredible with the highlight being the Temascal with Javier. We absolutely loved the experience!! The biggest disappointment was the restaurant. The service was so slow, waiters were totally frazzled, running up and down the restaurant and orders were forgotten constantly. They even ran out of deserts on Saturday evening!!!! It would be great if there could be a menu available in English as it was near impossible to translate. Overall I will definately be back to stay at Casa Fernanda and just hope the restaurant service will pick up. A beautiful boutique hotel. "
"The hotel is an hour / hour and a half (max) fdrive from Mexico City. It's just a couple of blocks away from Tepoztlan's center and main pedestrian streets. The hotel is a quiet and relaxing place. It's a renewed house with nice gardens (small but nice) and an excellent spa and restaurant. The spa service is excellent and quite relaxing, there are many treatment options and is very well priced. The restaurant is right across the street (same hotel, diff building) and the food was quite a surprise, very interesting dishes and excellent service. Overall it's a great place to visit and to return after walking the local markets and visiting the pyramid at the top of "El Tepoxteco", Tepoztlan's landmark park."
"Casa Fernanda is a beautiful hotel boutique in the heart of Tepoztlán. I stayed there two days (one night) with two girlfriends; the hotel’s staff kindly arranged an all inclusive special spa package for the three of us. The service is excellent and the food is good. I highly recommend Casa Fernanda for a weekend getaway with friends or in couples. "

Fray Bartolome de las Casas 110, Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico
"Loved the restaurant setting, around a pool, all in white....you feel in summer all year long. The food was delicious, we had breakfast, and the eggs benedict were spectacular. They serve fresh baked bread from Rosetta which is so delicious. Staff was very friendly and professional. We then walked around with Manager Javier, who showed us around the pool area and rooms. Gorgeous little boutique hotel, with modern california style decor, rooms are spacious and comfortable. the pool is small, but very nice and cozy to take the sun. You really feel at home. The hotel is near the main plaza of Cuernavaca, so you have many places to walk to and just walk around and take in the ambience. At night, there are bars and night clubs a few steps down. Yet the hotel has it's quiet resting relaxing surrounding kept safe."
"I went with my husband for our wedding anniversary and all the stay was marvellous. The staff was amazingly good, the spa heavenly (Pao and Jocabeth: we love you guys!), they are in a great location just walking distance in the middle of everything (museums, parks, restaurants, ATMs, bars, crafts stores), and we also enjoy a good breakfast every day. Very clean, romantic and relaxing, we will definitely come back every year! We arrive from Mexico City in a rental car and they take care of it, but next time we would arrive in a bus, the terminal is about two blocks away from the hotel."
"First of all, the Covid safety procedures are fay beyond starndards, the take every single precautiong to make you feel safe. Room is spacious, very comfotable, we got number 14 with view to the pool, could not ask for anything else. You can notice that staff is properly trained, they were really friendly and always looking for covering all our needs, special mention to Jennifer at dinner and Gerardo at Breakfast. It is impossible to dring only one coctail, I would recommend all of them, the Huevos Rancheros with Mole Negro were spectacular! It is the best place in Cuernavaca, by far!"

Camino Real a Amatlán No. 10, Col. del Carmen, Tepoztlan, Morelos, Mexico
"We wanted to get out of Mexico City for a day trip. The town of Tepoztlán is about a 1.5 hr drive so it was a perfect fit. We called a few of the well reviewed hotels with spas and landed on a different location as well as this one. We first stopped at our other choice but after seeing the grounds (which were super beautiful) we were met with a kind female manager who said we can’t use the pool, we can’t use the outdoor seating, we can’t, we can’t, we can’t...... because we were not considered hotel guests. We said we want to use your spa and that would mean we are guests. Anyway, long story short we decided that type of vibe was not welcoming and we would go where we are well received. That’s when we got a lovely text from the people at Sitio sagrado!! They were so humble and kind and really felt like they were just waiting for us. We arrived a few min later and were met with big smiles and friendly staff. The grounds err beautiful and the day was an absolute blast! We each got a massage and facial and the treatments were fantastic. This coming from a NewYorker who gets treatments regularly. I would say for a day of fun or a weekend away, give Sitio sagrado Tepoztlán a chance, they will do their very best to make sure your stay is enjoyable."
"This place could be amazing, but... it really needs to have a face lift. It still feels like a 1970s' hotel that has never been taken care off. All facades are in bad shape. The pool is green. Bathrooms very old and toooooo big. Our terrace had no umbrella to make some shade and the jacuzzi belonged to another era. It barely worked. But... room comfort was amazing. The views astonishing. First class and amicable personnel. Superb food. Beautifully maintained gardens and fountains. Beware... the is no wifi."
"Tepoztlán is a place full of energy and Sitio Sagrado y one of the best places to relax with your loved one. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The service could be better, mostly in the pool area. The spa is great and the food is ok."
