This is the most expensive hotel in the University of Urbana-Champaign area, more expensive than the Hyatt Regency in downtown Chicago, but it didn't see the ball game. The breakfast is not as good as that of Home Inns in China. Just one or two kinds of bread, jam, coffee, yogurt, and oranges. can not imagine!
- PING
In the United States, in a small city like Champagne, it is very good, the facilities are relatively new, and life is convenient. I think it is the first choice to come to UIUC

Right in the center of downtown this Hyatt is perfect! The rooms are clean and the staff are soooo nice ! The front desk made me coffee late at night while I was burning the midnight oil on my work projects and Mike set up an amazing breakfast for the hotel in the morning! Eggs and has browns and yogurt and fruit and coffee and cereal and and and! The dining room was well maintained and the overall experience was 5 star!!!

We were in town for a friend's wedding at the Arboretum. The hotel staff were friendly and the check in process was easy. There are several good dining choices within 1-3 blocks of the hotel. The downtown is convenient and on site parking was more than adequate. It can be a bit noisy from traffic below but we slept well most of the night. We plan to stay here again next week on our way to Nashville!

We arrived late on a Friday night. We are titanium lifetime members and had received a suite upgrade so was excited about that as I had my wife and teenage daughter with us. There was no mention of our status, nor anything offered (breakfast, points, etc). When we arrived in the room there was a smell, a musty odor, covered up in part by some sort of fragrance. Unfortunately the room was not in good shape. We first noticed there was a sofa bed that accomodated one, but had no sheets, blankets, pillows in the room. We attempted to call the front desk but both of the phones in the room were not connected/not working. So walked back to the front desk to get some of the items needed to sleep on the sofa bed. Unfortunately when we opened it it was very dirty so my daughter slept on the top of the (curved) small sofa. In the bedroom their was a large web above the bed and in the main room we opened a drawer when looking for the sheets and the drawer wouldn't even close half way. I reported these items to the front desk.

This hotel, I am sorry to say needs some work . Immediately when we entered the room the smell of stale smoke hit us in the face . We tried to call down to the front desk , phone broken , to ask if we could switch room. I have asthma and the smell was killing me and they told us that there were no other room. Being that it was move-in week at the University of Illinois , we knew we were stuck. So we decided to open the screen door to get some fresh air , but the screen was completely broken and ripped off. The room and bathroom were slightly dirty. I know it’s Covid and things are going crazy right now but for a Marriott this is under par. There are plenty other Marriotts in the area so I will choose one of those instead.

The staff at this hotel are top notch. They could not have made our experience better from check in to check out. We stay at Disney hotels often, and honestly the customer service at the I Hotel was as good or better. Beds were comfortable and rooms were quiet. Breakfast was well stocked and the entire hotel was kept clean.

Family and friends luncheon at the I-Hotel's Conference Center was a wonderful and delicious gathering. Attention to detail with grace, professional expertise and patience was appreciated by our guests. Thanks to everyone from the planning team to the staff working our event. Best wishes for continued success.

The hotel is short 7-minute ride from the airport. The University is very close at just over a mile away. The hotel has many food options within a short walk and even a Harvest Market Grocery store that serves hot food as well as a full grocery store. The hotel staff was kind and got us our rooms quickly. The rooms were clean and large. The full galley kitchen was nice for heating up foods. It has a full size dishwasher and microwave. They have skillets in the lobby if you prefer to cook something more in-depth. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were kind of flat. Be sure to ask for more upon checking into your room. The room also had a pullout couch and privacy curtain. The WiFi was fast but requires a password. The hotel has many amenities to include an indoor pool, fitness room, outdoor grills, and a breakfast bar. The fitness room has cardio machines and a cable machine. The grills were the only thing open during my stay due to COVID-19. The restaurants nearby were allowing seating both inside and outside during my stay

My husband is a high-risk individual, so we planned our driving trip carefully to be safe. We got takeout for all our meals and ate them in the car or in our hotel room. We visited my mother and spent all of our time together outdoors, for safety. We chose Hilton properties because we liked the cleaning protocol. When we got to this hotel, we found it clean and staff were following protocol. Everybody did their part - except the front desk staff member and cleaning person on duty at night. Both failed to wear their masks properly. They had them on, but on their chins or under their noses. The cleaner was finishing up mopping the elevator - just before I was to get on it - without his mask. Rather than enter a small contained space that someone had just breathed in, I opted to climb three floors by stairs. Sorry if you think wearing masks is too hard, or think Covid is a hoax, or whatever. I'll just stay home next time.

As a Lifetime Titanium Marriott member I have seen a number of different properties across a number of different brands internationally. I am not sure if this was the worst property I have ever visited, but off the top of my head I can't think of one that was worse. Like other posters here, my graduation weekend reservation--prepaid, mind you--was cancelled with no notice or notification. We went to check in and the reservation wasn't there. Still haven't resolved why it was cancelled but was told by Marriott Rewards that it was cancelled by the property because they were overbooked. Makes sense that they were overbooked on graduation weekend. Didn't make sense to me that they would choose a Titanium member to cancel. Cutting long stories short, let's focus on the staff. Wanda, the Assistant Manager, worked with the Marriott Rewards reps to get our reservation reinstated (on Saturday vs. our original check in day of Friday, however) and also worked on getting us credited for the reservation we actually had cancelled a month earlier before the cancellation deadline. She also dropped our rate for the graduation weekend Saturday night from $500 that was quoted to their ”normal” rate of $200. Kudos to Wanda. Rodney, on the other hand, was perhaps the most rude and miserable Marriott staffer I have ever come across. When we called to check in, he informed us we had cancelled our reservation ourselves--on graduation weekend as we were headed out from NJ, no doubt. Later he told a Marriott Rewards rep that it was cancelled because it wasn't paid for (guess he's not familiar with these things called credit card statements that record when charges are made). He was ZERO help in resolving our problem of having our reservation cancelled (”I don't have a problem--you do! I live here! was his response). Saturday when we checked in our room was 92 degrees. Again ZERO help in getting any assistance there (”Maintenance pulled a fast one on me and left early”). I went to the front desk after unsuccessfully trying to get ice from each of the ice machines on all 4 floors and was told by Rodney that I was ”entitled and disrespectful”. Entitled to a prepaid reservation I had made not being cancelled. I guess. Entitled to Marriott standard policies around cancellations. Maybe he needs to refresh his training around this. Entitled as a Lifetime Titanium member. He said that didn't matter to him. Again, maybe he should check the company policy under ”customer service” and ”brand loyalty”. I guess the straw that broke the camel's back was when I asked about perhaps getting someone in to look at my 92 degree room since maintenance had ”slipped out” and he offered to come up and check it himself. Strike 3? 4? 7? Honestly, in a customer service industry I don't understand how someone like this has a job. Bottom line is that we checked in to this location a day later than we were supposed to for our prepaid 3 night reservation. Studio vs. 1BR that we had reserved. Rudes

The hotel is clean and very beautiful. Great customer service and housekeeping. There were many hotels close such as Marriotts, and Hiltons, but this one is my new go to; This was my first time staying in Best Western Plus in Champaign but definitely would recommend to any parent or UNIVERSTIY OF ILLINOIS student TO stay HERE.

Manager harassed for amount of linens in hallway at 8 pm at night without identifying himself. I paid a pet deposit because I have a new and he asked if there was damage to the room and there was not. I had to ask him three times to identify himself to me. It’s a pet friendly hotel, don’t be pet friendly if you’re not going to act like it. Also don’t knock on young women’s doors as a manager that is a man and not identify themselves.

I chose this one after driving a field inspection of several hotels. Warm and quiet, the black eldest sister at the front desk is very welcoming and meets the requirement of a higher floor and a more northerly (quiet) floor. The price also has advantages compared with surrounding hotels. There are many restaurants and shops around, which is very convenient. Recommend, stay here next time

We had a nice stay at this hotel. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful. We didn’t go in the pool but we looked at the pool area and it looked very clean. I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel was one of the regular go-to properties when visiting the area, but never a standout. This time we had problems with room plumbing, missing items, noise outside the room and a staff that was expert at robotically citing hotel policy, but not expert in listening to customer requests or offering a creative win-win solution for both that would have really helped me and required little of them. The breakfast was so-so, borderline inedible. I'd approach with limited expectations. Not my favorite hotel in the Urbana-Champaign area.

Fantastic service and accommodations! Spacious, clean rooms. Friendly staff. Nice variety for breakfast. Loves the social time in the evening with appetizers and drinks. Will definitely stay here in the future!

There are several supermarkets around it that are more convenient to buy daily necessities. There are several restaurants along the street to eat more conveniently. The front desk attendant is very thoughtful and asked many questions are very enthusiastic. There is still a long way to go from UIUC, walk for half an hour and take a taxi for 5 minutes.
- Guest User
The Hilton Hotel has nothing to say, the rooms are large, the service is good, the dining around the hotel is also very convenient, the hotel service staff is very attentive and enthusiastic, it would be better if the breakfast time can be postponed a little
