"Had a fabulous time at the Knights Lodge at Warwick castle. The lodge itself was spotless and beautiful, we had been put next door to the other part of our party and the outside benches were perfect to have a post kids bedtime drink! The dinner was great fun with the knights fighting and breakfast was filling and a good choice. Overall we absolutely loved it but an extra special mention to Toby who helped us check in when our party arrived in 2 sets and who was fabulous with helping me later on also. Highly recommended!"
"The themed cottages are great and very local to the castle. We stayed in March and so there were no tents on the site - if there had been I can only imagine that it would be a little crowded. Great if you have kids - we didn't. As an older couple we did enjoy our stay as it was relatively quiet - the only dissappointment being the self-serve breakfast that was not very good. No black pudding and the scambled egg looked horrible. Beans and sausage tasted very cheap and the bacon not great either. So we did enjoy our visit and the castle/grounds are well worth a visit. However, overall it is not for us and we will not be returning."
"Loved the cabin, clean, spacious and a fabulous veranda overlooking the river, great way to start the day sipping a coffee sat outside. The evening meal was acceptable and the breakfast was very good, although the fruit juice was very watery! Taking this stay in conjunction with a 2 day pass into Warwick Castle, made it one of the most enjoyable nights away we have had."

"Stayed here for my birthday. Shown to our room by very friendly lady, unfortunately the lift was out of order, wasn’t repaired in the 2 days we were there. Our room was pleasant but very hot, even with the window open. Very small but functional bathroom and small tv and fridge. I would compare it to a Premier Inn with smaller bathrooms. I had a spa treatment booked at 3pm, however there was a mix up and it was booked in at 4pm. So we were offered a hot drink in the cafe and free access to the spa, we couldn’t use this as I had hurt my wrist and couldn’t get it wet. We decided to celebrate my birthday with an alcoholic drink. I had a gin and tonic and my husband a small beer, both served in plastic tumblers for the princely sum of £16.80! For a 3/4* hotel in Leamington this is extortionate. Luckily we had some alcohol with us. My treatment was great, the only thing that let it down was at the end I was sat upright with a gift set plonked on my lap and given a sales pitch on the products. I hadn’t had time to come to. At other spas they do this at the end, to a lesser degree, outside of the room, giving you time to come to. We ate in the brasserie, which was very nice. £4 for a bread roll! Drinks again were very expensive and we were charged for mineral water we didn’t have. This was taken off the bill. Breakfast was nice, served in the main house. You will need your coat as there are 3 buildings, the spa building, Manor House and Knights suite accommodation block. You’ll have to walk in the open between the 3. The signage is terrible, we walked all the way around the spa building to find the entrance and even then there was no sign! All in all it was a nice night, but I would take your own alcohol, double check your spa booking and take your trainers to walk to the spa as you’ll walk further than you think. Would I stay again, probably not."
"We booked two nights with friends at the Mallory Court and what an experience it was. It was my Birthday whilst we were away and the Hotel treated us and our friends to an upgrade to a suite each. The building in general has a wonderful charm about it and the rooms did not fail to match up to that, although the only thing I would criticise about the Upton suite was the lighting which was a little dim. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well appointed. There is no real bar but you can sit in the lounge and enjoy a wonderful pre-dinner cocktail. The real star of this show though is the food, the 5 course evening tasting menu is to die for and as good as I have had in a number of Michelin star restaurants. The flavours created by the head chef and his team are simply wonderful. The beef and ox cheek main course on the first night was sumptuous. The staff are very polite and in these strange COVID times you felt safe at all times. Unfortunately we could not get into the spa during the time we had booked which was a shame. This Hotel is definitely worth a visit."
"I thought the grounds and outside of the hotel were beautiful as you drive in. We received a warm welcome and were taken to our room and shown around - all very professional and very good. I marked it down from a 5 to a 4 because our shower didn't work well (it made whale noises when you were trying to get it to the right temperature, and it seemed to do the opposite to what was labelled for hot/cold) We were in the Knight Suite, room 3. Our rate included breakfast, the breakfast was a bit underwhelming, but annoyingly, I found 3 separate pieces of egg shell in my scrambled egg.... you can get away with one, but not 3! (I spotted the third bit before chewing it luckily) We didn't get the time to use the spa unfortunately, but did have a look at the gym area which was excellent."

"The hotel is on a golf course, the scenery is very good, the hotel room is not big, but the European hotel room is not big. The breakfast is divided into buffet and ordering. The buffet is only fruit, yoghurt, milk bread, and hot food is ordered. The ingredients are very fresh, but the British people's food is notoriously delicious, so it is recommended to just order the original. The biggest feature of this hotel is that the quiet scenery is good, but it is inconvenient if there is no car to go out for dinner. The fish in the hotel restaurant was very good on the day, but it was still fresh in the ingredients."
"The environment is good, the room is too small"

"So glad we chose The Globe when searching for a hotel in Warwick. We came to Warwick for a trip to the castle which is in walking distance of the hotel. All the staff were friendly and can’t do enough for you. We booked a table in the bar for drinks before we headed out for a meal, but could have easily booked a table to eat here as the food looked and smelt really nice. Great choice of cocktails and wines. Our room was impeccably clean, very spacious and nicely decorated. We observed staff constantly sanitising, cleaning and wearing masks which is a must in these times. Breakfast was included with our room which included a large choice of options. I opted for eggs benedict and my husband opted for a full English. Both were wonderful. If we return to Warwick at any point in the future, we wouldn’t hesitate to book The Globe as our place to stay. Thanks for a great trip!"
"We had a couple of nights away in The Globe for our wedding anniversary. What a lovely, relaxing time we had . The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were fantastic and our Sunday Roast was fab. The hotel is in a great position for exploring Warwick. Thank you so much for a wonderful break."
"Been here twice now and will stay again. Half way between London and the Peak District. Great family run hotel with a buzzy, well run bar and excellent restaurant. A proper pizza oven. I think the place is run by Italians and the pizzas are marvellous. The rooms are large and well equipped and very comfortable. Bath robes are supplied which is unusual in this price range. Short walk to Warwick castle although you could easily spend a happy couple of days here without leaving the hotel. Pack trousers with an elasticated waistband x"

"The location of the hotel is very good at a golf course in the suburbs, very close to the highway but you have to drive. The only complaint is that the breakfast is really bad and everything else is pretty good "

"I spent back to back weekends at Stratford Park (long story...booking mix up at another venue!) and was pleased that I did (despite the weather!) First visit was last weekend in Sept with 7 other golfers and we were all really impressed with the venue itself, the staff, the value for money and the golf course (which was in excellent condition). Manicured fairways and greens like glass added to the challenge with some fantastic holes. Off the course the rooms were good, service in the bar (despite restrictions of table service only) couldn’t be faulted and the breakfast and evening meal were both very good. Bar prices reasonable with 4 pints coming in around £17. The staff were brilliant - Sharon on reception and Chris, Alex, Holly and the team in the bar were always about and making sure we had everything we needed. Fast forward a week to the first weekend of October and repeat of the above off the course. The weather did its best to stop us getting on the course however the two 9 hole rounds we did play were enjoyable even though it was lashing down! The course stood up to the test very well and the greens were still very quick. Stratford Upon Avon is 10 mins in a taxi if you fancy a few beers/food outside the venue. All in all I would recommend this venue for a very good, value for money UK golf break. Only suggestion would be to make sure that once booked you ring the pro shop separately to check your tee times. A group in front of us had 12 playing but only tees times which caused a bit of confusion and delay on a day when the course was quite busy."
"We stayed here with my daughter and her partner for her birthday weekend. We all had a great day in the town exploring. The hotel staff could not have been friendlier and more helpful at every opportunity. We were made to feel so welcome by the reception staff as well as those in the bar and restaurant. We only ate breakfast here which was great. All items were great quality and plentiful. To be honest I can’t fault our stay, rooms were well appointed and spotlessly clean. Would definitely recommend and hopefully will stay again soon. "
"A two night stay to visit stratford upon avon, and other places, the staff were so helpful and so friendly would do anything for you. As iam disabled I had a disabled friendly room lovely walk in shower, beds very comfy.Had a great meal on the second night,i had good old fish and chips,my partner had the braised beef. Great outside area and bar. The only thing that let them down was breakfast,I know that it all so different because of covid, for two days running they forgot to give my partner a cup the tea was very weak,my partner ordered the cooked breakfast and cereal,he got the cooked breakfast first and cereal afterwards, which he gave back,my only other negative as we have stayed in a lot of places this year, was no complimentary Water in the room. Otherwise good."

" Last summer we visited the Glebe Hotel in Barford and decided that we would hold our Ruby Wedding Anniversary in this comfortable, relaxed and friendly hotel. We were not disappointed ..... friends travelled from all over the UK to join us ......from the south coast to Scotland and everyone said how easy it was to find. Before the event Jayne was really helpful .....there were 64 of us for lunch from across three generations ( unfortunately it was too wet and cold to open the door into the adjoining garden ...... reminded us of our wedding day when it was wet and cold 40 years ago !!). On the day Sim and him team were patient, polite and appropriately attentive. Those with special dietary requirements were well looked after. The food was delicious and well served. About a dozen of us stayed overnight ...... we all enjoyed a bar snack in the evening and a leisurely breakfast the next morning; some of us took to the swimming pool, sauna and steam room. I know we will be back at some point for a “ weekend break” in the meantime many thanks to all the staff for making our celebration so memorable. "
"My partner booked a stay at the Glebe for my birthday. To add to the surprise he upgraded the room and booked treatments with the onsite Beauticians. On arrival my first impressions were this is a tired 80's wedding venue. We waited at reception for some time, a maintenance man eventually went and got us some help. Our room was ok but quite small. The bathroom then made it clear by the 'special access bath' that we had been booked into a disabled room, really romantic ! Looking around the room there was a real lack of expected things, no hooks for wet coats, no hooks in the bathroom or place for wet swimming costumes. No toiletries apart from a cheap squeezy bottle fixed to the wall, the kind you would find in a corporate budget hotel. The finish in the bathroom was terrible, it seemed if in doubt fill it with mastic! Sharp edges made some areas quite dangerous. If this was an upgraded room, I would be shocked to see a 'normal room' We cancelled our dinner reservation as the hotel appeared to be empty with skeleton staff. The next morning was my birthday and we wanted to make the most of things. Pool was nice but Sauna & Turkish bath had not been turned on. Breakfast was served in the conservatory which you accessed through a room that looked like a store room. The continental breakfast was the cheapest and worst I had ever seen. Tea was served in flask that you would normally see at a corporate function. The china and cutlery, like the rest of the 'dinning room' needed a good clean. We could stand it no more and decided to book out. The manager met us to hear our views and the result was that we were made to feel that our expectations were too high. At no point did she make any attempt to apologies for the faults we raised only an offer of another room. We might go to 5* hotels but we also go camping, and for us its about getting what you've paid for and wherever you stay the facilities available should be working and service provided be at the expected level. I have never booked out of a hotel early, and we were both very disappointment especially as my partner had spent so much time and effort into arranging this for my birthday. In the case of The Glebe Hotel you definitely do not get what it says on the tin! and my first impressions were right, a tired 80's wedding venue !"
"We have just returned from our 11th trip to The Glebe. It's perfectly placed for Stratford and all the other lovely towns and National Trust properties in the area. We combined it with a visit to the theatre in Stratford. It's always easy to park. The rooms are clean and the staff are unfailing pleasant. We had a delicious meal in the evening. The prices are reasonable. We've already booked our next trip!!"

Charlecote, Charlecote, Warwickshire, United Kingdom
"Having lived in a nearby village to the Charlecote Pheasant Hotel for about 5 years, we thought it would be a great idea to actually visit the hotel and have dinner. That's what we did one Saturday evening about 4 weeks ago. The Charlecote Pheasant Hotel is ideally situated for visiting Stratford upon Avon, Birmingham, Banbury, Oxford and many other places it being located in the Midlands. Of course, not forgetting Charlecote Manor itself which is to be found across the road and up a long driveway. The Manor has extensive grounds where deer and other wildlife can be readily observed. When we arrived for our dinner, the hotel staff kept asking us for our room number! We politely explaned that we only lived about 4 miles away and couldn't think of a reason why we would want a room! After that confusion was settled, we were sat down in a rather charming dining room with exposed beams and a fire place... The menu offered a variety of choices for each course, which were reasonably priced; though not the cheapest in the area. The service was prompt and with a smile which led to us having a very nice meal washed down with a glass or three of wine (for my partner, because I was driving). I can recommend the Charlecote Pheasant Hotel for its splendid location, its indoor & outdoor space, and for its catering provisions. Can't really comment on their bedrooms, because we didn't stay in one; though we know of at least one travel coach company that does use the Hotel for their stopovers."
"First visit to this lovely hotel. Yes to some it's isolated but it's so peaceful and quiet. It's across the road from the Charlecote Park and it's a short distance from Stratford upon Avon Warwick and Leamington spa to name a few. The staff are lovely and friendly and so helpful and accommodating. Originally a farm house so it's quite spread out amongst several buildings but to me that adds to the charm of the place. Be warned there's no lift so if you struggle with stairs ask if you can have a ground floor generally Shearing's try their best to help. The room was more than large enough and was nice and clean. The food in the main block in the restaurant was very nice and served piping hot. Just outside the hotel carpark there is a bus stop either side of the road hotel side goes towards Stratford upon Avon and opposite goes towards Warwick/ Leamington spa. Number 15 bus number one an hour Monday to Saturday and once every two hours on a Sunday. We will definitely visit this hotel again and full marks to the staff who listened to my wife's dietary needs and bent over backwards to help her have a pleasant meal"
"Spent four days at this hotel it had a nice feel. About it the staff were friendly and polite, our standard room was superb clean and very warm, could not fault the food it was excellant breakfast and evening meal good location the bus stop was right outside the hotel if you want to visit Stratford on Avon about forty minutes on the bus If you are disabled in any way make sure you book a ground floor room as they do not have a lift to the second floor, have been to lots of shearing hotels but rate this one the best so far ,will visit the charle cote pheasant again as it was excellent value Well done to all the staff."

"Had a lovely stay at Nailcote Hall and went to a fabulous music tribute too. The hotel has got a huge amount of character and the old parts blend in really well, Stayed in a big four poster bedroom which was well presented, very clean with nice coffee in the room. I had a round of golf on the par 3 course which was actually quite challenging and very interesting to play, i'd never played anything like it before. The Elton John tribute was very impressive both form a singing point of view but he also looked and acted like him too! Dinner during the evening was included which was lovely. Big quality english breakfast in the old restaurant finished off a perfect stay!"
"We attended a family gathering and enjoyed overnight stay too. On arrival Corrine was very courteous, friendly and warm with information on the hotel. Our room was spotless, not long decorated and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and had a relaxed sleep. We all enjoyed a private dinner, compliments to Chef, who is newly appointed, great asset with excellent food and service. Good quality and tasteful dishes. Breakfast was relaxed and cooked to order, perfect end to a wonderful stay. Perfect for any occasion with great ambience and atmosphere."
"Booked in for the Sunday Offer for my sisters Birthday, Fantastic Value for Money. We booked to have Sunday lunch on the offer, I can honestly say it was the Best Beef and Sunday Lunch we have ever had, it makes it more special that the meat gets carved at the Table for you. All courses were delicious, and the staff were lovely and friendly too. Our room was lovely we also took advantage of the leisure club, and in the morning the Breakfast was Quality. We will certainly be going back and recommending Nailcote Hall."
