We have always been an avid traveller and we love five stars hotel. And this trip to Tokyo, we booked for the biggest Aman Suite at Aman Tokyo and we also booked for a few nights in Bvlgari Suite at Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo. However the price we paid for Aman is 380,000yen more than our suite in Bvlgari yet the services and experiences we get in Bvlgari is so much better. The staff generally speaks better English, and their butler are way more proactive and confident, perhaps due to language proficiency. Also at Bvlgari they serve daily evening refreshment which they do not have at Aman. Also the breakfast at Bvlgari is 24 hours so we do not have to worry about missing our breakfast hour. We also do not see a lot of differences between the suite type in Aman. Personally we wouldn’t recommend Aman Tokyo to anyone considering there are a lot of better options and five stars hotel around for the price we paid.

Truly deserving of its 'top 1 in Tokyo' ranking! From the moment we walked in until we left, every staff member greeted us with a gentle smile and a soft 'hello.' The swimming pool and gym are absolutely top-notch. Breakfast is à la carte; the Japanese option was just okay, but the American breakfast was quite good. An unforgettable experience that made me want to stay longer!

The experience staying at Bvlgari Tokyo was superb, beautiful people, fantastic service, shopping mall is right downstairs, within walking distance to Ginza and the train station. The guest room is beautifully designed, amenities were overwhelming. Breakfast was fantastic and well presented, must try the swimming pool.

We booked 3 rooms this time all our family members are very satisfied with our stay the best in Tokyo and this is the only one hotel I stayed more than 2 times in Tokyo. No doubt it’s lots more better than Aman.

This hotel exceeded my expectations! My room was upgraded to a suite, and I could catch a glimpse of the Tokyo Tower from the balcony. The hotel's omakase was also excellent. There was this incredibly delicious Chiyuki apple juice in the minibar. I called to ask if I could buy a few bottles to take home, and room service just sent up six bottles to my room. I thought I'd be charged for them, but they weren't on my bill when I checked out. Everything was perfect! The customer relations team was also very genuine. This was the most satisfying stay among all the hotels in the 10,000 yen range I've stayed at in Tokyo this year.
- Guest User
Overall, it was a very good stay, except that there were no rooms available when I checked in, and I had to wait for a very long time. Everything else, from the facilities to the service, was excellent. The hotel has direct access to the shopping mall, and the spa is one of the largest in all of Tokyo. The gym also has a lot of equipment, including free weights and a Smith machine, which made for a great experience.

Reviews From Real Travelers
Hoshinoya Tokyo is situated in a tower in Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, uniquely blending a traditional Japanese garden with a high-rise hotel concept. While its immediate surroundings are dominated by corporate offices like Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, its location isn't as prime as other similarly priced luxury hotels such as The Peninsula Tokyo or Bulgari, with a noticeable lack of nearby dining options or convenience stores. The service, on the other hand, truly made guests feel at home. Each floor boasts a dedicated Japanese-style common area, but the atmosphere felt a bit too rigid or rule-bound. For example, when I asked for a second welcome dessert, it wasn't possible. However, I would strongly advise against staying here for a business trip. Firstly, the hotel's policy of not allowing unregistered guests to enter is quite inconvenient and arguably unsuitable for a business-oriented establishment. Secondly, the hotel itself offers a rich array of experiences – from its two-Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant to kimono fittings, tea ceremonies, kendo classes, hot springs, and sightseeing bicycles. These features highlight its strong appeal for leisure travel, making it less ideal for business.

We really love the hotel service provided, public transport convenient as it’s situated below the hotel. The only setback is location at CBD area, overall experience good

We booked Park Hyatt very last minute due to issue with our original hotel that we booked in Tokyo. We travelled with a 3 & 4 years old and the hotel was amazing. The playground across the hotel is a big plus. From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel very welcome and the process was very seamlessly. We left the first hotel fairly early and knew we couldn't get into the room but our plan was to go through Shinjuku and knew we wouldn't be back until later that day. The hotel lobby is on the 41st floor, you can see the entire city view and at night the sight is amazing. The hotel location is about a 15min walk to Shinjuku station which is not bad and there is a shuttle that runs every 30min as well. Concierge was very helpful with everything during our stay. Breakfast service was professional and efficient. The staff were very friendly with kids and not snobbish at all. The hotel is an iconic place, most of the time we took a taxi or delivery they know the hotel by name. I highly recommend anyone that would like to pamper themselves in Tokyo. The hotel is a bit dated by the upkeep of the hotel is very good. Only thing that was a bit annoying was the light switches since it's not modern you can't control some lights individually.

Thank you🙏Mr. Shen for being able to show up at six o'clock in the morning Come up to the room and help carry luggage and cartons📦 Thank you too🙏every service staff at the counter Take the trouble to meet my complex needs He even bought an oil-based pen for me to write on In addition, express check out service Really super time saver. Hotel guests have a certain standard Visitors from California and Switzerland are quite interesting.

We stayed four nights in two rooms. On the third day, the sheets were changed, but upon returning, we found obvious stains. Since it was already past 11 PM, we didn't contact the hotel, and the two of us slept in one bed. The other bed also had stains. On the fourth day, we went to the front desk to complain, providing photos. They said they should report it and told us to wait for a call. We didn't receive a call all day. When we returned to the hotel that evening, we asked the front desk. The night manager checked the computer and found we had complained, but didn't explain why there hadn't been any action taken all day. They finally offered to waive the room service meal fee for the other room. We didn't accept, but the result was the same upon check-out. Question 1: We weren't at the hotel during the day; we booked the Four Seasons specifically for a good night's rest. Is room service meal equivalent to a good night's sleep? What is the basis for this action? Question 2: After a whole day of processing, there was no response. They completely ignored our complaint. Is this the service standard of the Four Seasons? Or is it just that the sheets are often like this and it's not a problem? Question 3: The attitude was polite but arrogant. What justifies this condescending attitude? This is completely different from our past experiences with Four Seasons hotels and the service we've had in Japan. The photo below is incomprehensible and unacceptable.

Very satisfied! The environment is super good, the service is super good. The waiter can remember your name and greet you. The cocktails and spirits in the bar are quite good, with a lot of choices. The whole experience is great

Let's start with the positives: The location and facilities are excellent, the room is spacious, and I even had a view of the Imperial Palace from my window. Although it was partially obstructed, considering I booked a basic room, it was more than acceptable. Upon arrival, the staff immediately helped with my luggage and inquired about my name, which was very thoughtful. Turndown service and replenishment of amenities in the evening were prompt. All staff members throughout the hotel were professional and responsive. Now for the negatives: I wouldn't call it discrimination, but it's clear the hotel primarily caters to and prioritizes Western guests (there were many Westerners staying there). They even offer gluten-free bread at breakfast. I was assigned a room on the lowest floor, the 8th floor, and I didn't see any Western guests on my floor. When using the elevators, they were always going to floors 10 and above. Additionally, a cart with spare amenities was constantly parked right outside my room door, which was quite an eyesore every time I opened it. I brought this up during check-out, but I doubt they'll take it seriously.

My stay at Palace Hotel Tokyo was pure magic. It’s the perfect harmony of Imperial Palace serenity and world-class Japanese hospitality. From the meticulous room design to the heartfelt service, I felt truly at home. Having breakfast on the terrace was a dream—an absolute masterpiece of luxury in the heart of Tokyo! 🥂✨”

This was my first time staying at The Peninsula Tokyo, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we began corresponding with the hotel before arrival, the team made it clear that this was going to be a special stay. I had reached out in advance as this was an important trip for our family, and the team – especially Ms. Kim – went above and beyond to help organise everything smoothly. Every detail was handled with care, and it really set the tone for our visit. Throughout our stay, every interaction made us feel genuinely welcome. The lobby team, the staff at Peter, and housekeeping were all consistently warm, professional, and attentive. Small gestures, friendly smiles, and a real willingness to help turned a simple hotel stay into a collection of memories we will cherish for a long time. This trip has made The Peninsula Tokyo our new fav stay in the city. There is a wonderful sense of warmth and hospitality here, and you feel that everyone is truly invested in making your stay as special as possible. We are already looking forward to returning on our next visit to Tokyo.

This hotel is located in the heart of Tokyo, just a 5-minute walk from Ginza, which is great for guests who want to shop. The rooms are also quite spacious for a luxury hotel in Tokyo. The only downsides are that the hotel facilities are a bit dated and could use a renovation, and the breakfast selection isn't very extensive. That said, it lives up to the Peninsula's excellent service, and I'd generally recommend it if your budget allows.

The room is quite spacious for the Ginza area, easily over 40 square meters. It truly lives up to its 'Adidas view' name. The price is well-matched with the location; shopping is incredibly convenient. Mitsukoshi and Ginza Six are just across the street, and Adidas, Itoya, and Tiffany are right downstairs. The surrounding stores are very concentrated. The service was superb, very enthusiastic, and there were no issues communicating in English. The Punch Room bar is also excellent. The only downside is that the hotel itself is quite small. If you're looking for a comfortable staycation, there's not much to do besides having drinks at the bar. Although the room is large, the decor is quite simple and not significantly different from other Edition hotels in other cities.
- Guest User
The location is superb, right in Ginza. You can step out and immediately start shopping, with Isetan and Chanel just downstairs. It's even more convenient than staying at the Aman. While the hotel isn't huge and can't be compared to an Edition in China, it's excellent for Japan. The service, in particular, is outstanding. Every time you come back or leave, countless staff members greet you – almost to the point of being overwhelming! The room is spacious, comfortable, and clean, and the bedding is incredibly cozy, especially the pillows. They're exactly the soft type I prefer.

Luxury and quite expensive hotel, large and comfortable room with a wonderful view of the city landscape; maybe you'd expect for that price a better breakfast buffet.
