Breakfast is very good, bread and fruit juice buffet, as well as a pure English breakfast, free order, taste very good! Drinking tea to tea cups is very exquisite, a breakfast out of a holiday feel! A family of three, asked if they would like an extra bed when they arrive at the hotel? We didn't add it, so we gave us the largest double bed room. The room was not as soundproof as the comment said. Very quiet, right next to the suspension bridge. This is also the hotel we were most satisfied with for a month in Bristol!

Nice hotel in a great location. The bar and food options were great, however the whole experience was sourced by their eco credentials In the room we could not turn off the heated towel rail - it was on 24 hrs a day and very very hot. When added to what appeared to be underfloor heating, it made the main room so hot we needed to have the Aircon onax to keep the room ar a reasonable temperature It must be costing them a fortune in energy costs. I did check with reception who said individual rooms could not control the towel rail. Crazy It may seem a small thing but it made the room unbearably hot at night

I always title my reviews “THE GOOD BAD AND THE UGLY” as all three have a meaning read my previous reviews. To stat I rate our experience very good all but a nasty experience I will go onto later? THE GOOD Good size bedroom large king bed (two singles pushed together)lovey soft sheets comfortable pillow’s,super raindrop shower. Large good buffet style breakfast fruit JUICE great coffee. THE BAD Drinks expensive £11.00 for two beers 👎Dinner expensive partners food cold people receiving food before us ordering after us👎Luckily we had a £50.00 dinner credit which was needed 👍 You have a small motion sensor light in the toilet so when you move it switches on but this seemed to come on regularly during the night which was irritating😡without any motion? THE UGLY Now this is where it gets serious☝️ I had a nasty accident in which I cut my finger badly in a drill hole cut into my bedside drawer? The photo’s show the poor design on the bedside drawer front in which you have to push your finger into a neatly cut hole to pull out the drawer how bizarre? On doing this the drawer stuck and I badly cut my finger on the sharp drill hole edge☝️ This was reported to the duty manager and noted in the accident report book and I have reported this to the customer relations department in which I await a reply. Moving on from this I would go back to Village hotels using a Buy A Gift voucher which makes it a good deal but WARNING be careful where you stick your finger☝️

Just come back from a two night stay, really enjoyed ourselves. We ate in the grill bar both nights, the food was great and a nice buzzing atmosphere to enjoy a few drinks. We particularly enjoyed the live music on Friday. The bed was really comfy and the sky tv in the room was a bonus. Our room had an Alexa but this didn’t work which was a bit disappointing, my husband mentioned this to reception but nothing was done. We enjoyed using the pool and spa, nowhere were we told there was a charge for this so we were surprised to see a charge at checkout. However, the very helpful girl at reception removed this for us. I would agree with other reviews that the privacy glass separating the bathroom is an odd choice, the clear glass sliding part of door means there is no privacy even when the rest is frosted. You need to be very comfortable with the person you are sharing a room with that’s for sure! However we would definitely return here and had a great couple of days away.

This was the perfect hotel for a fun, indulgent, and special treat in Bristol. The bar was great. Breakfast was great. The rooms were large and well-equipped. The only disappointment was that the fridges didn't get cold. It was also a shame the mini-bars were empty... that was a bit strange, especially because we were 'splashing out and having fun' and therefore probably would have bought some treats! Nevertheless, all in all this was a fantastic hotel, and well worth the money.

Very convenient location and nice staff. The interior decoration is beautiful. However, the lamp inside the room is broken. Breakfast is good. There is various choices. Overall it’s a good hotel that I ll come back.

As we were restricted to visiting a hotel in our same Tier 2 area we chose a night here at the Hotel du Vin. We stayed it Taittinger Suite which was huge and very tastefully decorated. It has the largest hotel bathroom I’ve seen, you could almost hold a ball in it, with a luxurious bath and an enormous walk in shower with a power shower (I made use of both bath and shower). The Kingsized bed was huge and very comfortable, and we also made use of the excellent room service. Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant where breakfast is served is lovely. Service under the circumstances was very good and the hotel takes its anti coronavirus measures very seriously. A few very minor niggles. The bathroom could have done with more shelf space and it seems to switch off individual lamps in the bedroom area you have to switch them off at the mains. However, these are minor details. The hotel is excellent and if you’re looking for a tasteful, up market hotel with a little bit of the wow factor, you won’t be disappointed.

Came here on Halloween to feel like we’d been away somewhere. Staff were so friendly, room service was great and the food and hotel room were excellent. Very covid-safe too and felt like they had taken lots of steps to keep all guests safe. Thank you for such a good stay!

The hotel was very smart modern and clean. Our room was small but we had booked a standard room. Price was good compared to other hotels locally. The hotel is right next to the harbour and in the middle of a bustling nightlife. We hadn’t considered this when booking. Although the location was great, the noise from outside could be heard so loudly in our room at night. I actually thought a window was open, but it wasn’t. This went on till the early hours, music, shouting etc, so we found it hard to sleep. The bed was very comfortable though and the room spotlessly clean. Tea/coffee facilities were provided in our room, an iron and hairdryer were also there. The bathroom had a good shower, towels were provided. We didn’t dine but I did purchase a drink from the bar. After paying I was told it would be brought over to me. When it was the bartender informed me my card had declined and asked me to pay again. I did, however when I checked my bank later both payments had been paid out. Not very happy about this. Although a nice looking hotel and great price, due to the noise level at night we wouldn’t stay again. If that wouldn’t bother you the hotel would be a great choice.

Location is good. Takes 15 minutes to get to the station and 5 minutes to go to the city centre. Looks old building but reception area was fine. Room was just okay and tiny. There is a drawer under TV but it hasn’t closed at all. It kept opening. Also I left message about allocating nice view due to special occasion but they didn’t read and they gave terrible view room. Was really disappointed. Toilet is also tiny when I showered the water has been came out all the time. I don’t think it is 4 star hotel…

We had a wonderful time during our stay, the view overlooking the harbour was beautiful and the staff were amazingly helpful and very professional, making our trip feel all the more special. Adam, Bea, Daniel and Rosabel from reception went above and beyond for us. Will 100% stay again and would recommend others to do the same!

Second worst hotel I have ever stayed at. How this hotel has any stars let alone 4 I have no idea. Where to start with the catalogue of problems. The first room they gave us smelled so bad we could not stay in it. Receptionist gave us a second room, but I pointed out the room they had given us was on the list written in front of her as ”do not use these rooms...” room number three. As we were collecting our things from the first room the head of house keeping arrived. She agreed it was unusable, and said that she had told them not to use it. Third room has a wet patch in the middle of the carpet. Only 2 towels and almost no paper. One of the house keeping team was next door, but unfortunately she didn't speak English. Had to resort to taking paper out of the toilets in reception. Only one satchet of coffee. No socket near the kettle. Only a hole where the fridge should have been. No sockets anywhere near a mirror Decor was very very tired, and not at all thought out. No plug sockets near the bed. Cracked sockets. The toilet had a broken flush button, the bathroom door was rotten. There was no ceiling light in the bedroom, and the floor lamp was at an angle. Room was furnished in black shiny plastic with red leather inserts that reminded me of nothing more than an eighties video of a dungeon. We were on the first floor. Music from a restaurant underneath get us up till about 1:00. Then someone called our room trying to phone reception. Then what sounded like a group of young men were running up and down the corridor. The room also had a locked door out to a decorative balcony. Judging by the number of cigarette butt's and lighters this is where the staff go to smoke, although I was a little surprised to see discarded cylinders of hippy crack. I had called in advance to check parking. I was told to park at NCP. The hotel gets a discount. When I checked in I told reception where I was parked. They said bring the ticket at check out and they'd apply the discount. When I went to check out the young lady on reception said ”oh no, we don't dive a discount at that one” and started laughing. If Radison Blu were to give me a free holiday to any of their hotels anywhere in the world I don't think I would go. The only other hotel I have ever stayed at that was worse turned out to have let half their rooms to the local council to use as a bail hostel. Radison Blu Bristol wasn't much better.
