The staff at this hotel are amazing! You can tell they genuinely love their jobs and are just meant to be in hospitality. Two extraordinary individuals stuck out to my family and I - Sarina merz - front desk and Sophia Armandine - host. Thank you for the excellent Germany experience and warm hospitality daily. Would recommend this hotel to anyone!

The hotel is relatively clean and worth recommending. Good service, relatively quiet. The location is more convenient, the facilities are good, and the stay is more comfortable. There are many varieties of breakfast, and the taste is suitable.

My husband and I used to live in the Stuttgart area and still visit our dentist there, even though we now live in Wiesbaden. Over the past seven years or so, Waldhotel Stuttgart has become our favorite Stuttgart hotel. When we stay in the city, we always choose to stay there, as it offers most everything we want or need in a hotel, plus it's in a very beautiful area. This was our fifth time staying at Waldhotel, so we decided to try the Suite. It was an interesting experience, especially since we tried the Junior Suite on our previous visit in May 2019. We've also stayed in their Superior rooms on our other visits. Although the wonderful bartender, Angelo, has retired, we were very well taken care of by Cosima. Every night of our four night stay, she very professionally served us drinks. I was sorry to say goodbye to her and her equally professional colleagues. She and the rest of the bar staff deserve a shout out! We enjoyed the Suite, although now that I've seen it, I probably would choose to book the Junior Suite or a Superior room. One thing the Superior rooms have than the suites don't have are really excellent rainfall showers with mood lighting. The Suite and Junior Suite have very nice marble bathrooms, but the showers themselves are kind of ordinary. I didn't get a chance to try the bathtub, although it was huge and looked inviting. One thing to note is that the bathroom is open to the room, although the WC and shower are enclosed. We also had a broken bottle of hand soap in the bathroom (the pump didn't function). The mattress on the bed was a bit too firm for us, but that's probably a personal preference. We did enjoy the deluxe minibar set up, complete with a stove and microwave, even though we didn't use them. It was also nice to find a bottle of wine, chocolates, and a note from the management welcoming us, as well as coupons for a round of drinks in the bar. The receptionist who checked us in was not as impressive as some of his predecessors. When we stayed in the Junior Suite, I distinctly remember the receptionist actually showing us to the room and pointing out the room's unique features. This time, the receptionist just told us our room number and pointed us up the stairs. We found our way there with no trouble, but it didn't leave the most professional impression. The lady who checked us out was much better, although her voice really carried. I was sitting in the lobby and could clearly hear her speaking to my husband all the way across the room. Breakfast was pretty good, as usual. One morning, we ordered eggs, and the server forgot to put the order in for us. She was very apologetic, which was fine. One morning, there was a transportation strike, so it looked like there were fewer options at breakfast. Or maybe there were fewer people staying in the hotel. It was noticeable, although breakfast was included in our rate. We ate dinner at Finch one evening and ordered at the bar the other

Overall the Waldhotel is a nice hotel that seems to cater to mostly a domestic crowd. The restaurant staff and amenities were clean and welcoming. The hotel is located in the woods near many athletic complexes that range from soccer fields, a rock climbing facility, an ice skating rink, an outdoor parkour and a children's playground. Consequently, the hotel has an upscale Olympic village feel. Our family of 4 stayed here during the summer while there was an excessive heat warning with temperatures over 34C. The proximity to the woods and shaded playgrounds made for a relatively pleasant stay. One incident tainted our experience however. We were returning from the playground and entered the lobby where there were free personal bottles of water. As our young children we're a bit hot from playing outside, we grabbed two bottles and started filling them into their child friendly water containers. The bottles were glass so we didn't want our 4 and 7 year olds running around the lobby with breakable glass bottles. As we were filling up the bottles a lady from the front desk walked over and said in a stern voice that water bottles are only for hotel guests in the lobby. Being a bit confused, we said that we were guests at this hotel. But she continued, that the bottles of water are not meant for refilling and walking away but for hotel guests staying in the lobby. We hadn't even left the lobby, so how would she know we weren't going to mull around the lobby? In fact we were going to cool off in the lobby with kids and then head right to the hotel restaurant. Had the bottles been plastic we would have not transferred them. As adults we didn't even grab any waters because we knew we'd be eating in the restaurant in a few minutes anyway. The whole thing was bizarre and another hotel guest who was about to grab a water himself seemed confused as well and opted not to grab a water, likely to avoid being publicly scolded like we had been. Best case scenario, the lady was anticipating us using their free water bottles as a water refilling station and wanted to put an end to it before it started but misread the situation in her zeal to make a point. Worst case she was stereotyping and racist, as we were simply dressed and clearly not German. Either way she made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome as paying hotel guests. We've stayed at top resorts in Hawaii where it's quite common to have free water available due to the heat. They either leave it out for guests to use as they choose, or if they ration water, they explicitly offer water during checkout but don't leave it out. The hotel would be wise to follow this model vs. hotel staff publicly scolding guests, which in many cultures is the ultimate insult. Even though everybody else at the hotel was friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, one bad experience can taint an entire stay. So I'm not sure we would stay at this hotel again and would be hesitant to recommend the hotel

The hotel in Stuttgart is near the train station, about 1.7KM from the central square of Stuttgart. Car rental is very cost-effective, but if you don’t have a car, it’s a little inconvenient to go shopping at night. The overall location of the hotel is not bad, there are restaurants and bars, and there is a Vietnamese rice noodle shop 1000 meters away, which tastes great. The design of the hotel is very beautiful, the appearance is in a simple German style, the lobby is designed with a middle corridor to enter the rooms on the second floor, which is very beautiful. The room is 20 square meters. The room is not too big in my itinerary, but it is enough. The breakfast is very good. The overall effect is satisfactory. There are many foreigners. I am willing to come back to the hotel next time.

Overall, I am satisfied with my stay. The location of the hotel is pretty good. There is a shopping mall not far across the road. The overall cleanliness of the hotel is okay. It was a little cold when I checked in in winter.

We had preciously stayed at the Aloft in Munich, and were impressed enough to choose the Aloft chain again for a recent short visit to Stuttgart. We were not disappointed. The hotel is conveniently located a few steps from the UBahn (one stop from the Hauptbahnhof and a couple of stops away from the main centre) and is part of a new shopping complex with a range of stores and eating outlets. Facilities are modern, clean and well appointed, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. We were especially impressed with the helpfulness of the reception staff, all of whom went out of their way to look after our needs. One of our party was without vital medication, and hotel reception took the trouble both to identify the best local medical centre to obtain a prescription and to give detailed directions for finding it. We would certainly stay here again for future visits to the city.

Very comfortable stay at a quite reasonable price. Location- 1 subway stop north of the train station (which is undergoing a very chaotic and long-lasting remodel.) It is in a relatively quieter neighborhood near some office buildings and a mall. The transit stop is literally outside the door. The hotel has a young vibe with some intriguing design choices like metallic textured wallpaper. Maybe a little 90s-ish but it beats your average boring business hotel! They were having a salsa party with dance lessons in the lounge when we arrived. Staff were the friendliest we encountered in the six different German hotels we stayed in. Bed was comfortable and room was clean and quiet. We didn't use it, but they have laundry machines for guests to use.

Due to the pandemic we had to cancel other New Year's Eve plans and chose to stay a bit closer to home. This was an excellent choice! Unfortunately I can't attest to the salon, spa, or pool (all are off our to-do list until Germany's numbers are down), but everything else about this hotel was amazing. Everyone spoke excellent English, were very accommodating, and the restaurant requires a review all its' own (magnificent!!). If we had to find anything that didn't deserve a five-star rating, it would be the streaming service (lost Netflix connection frequently), however, everything else at this hotel made up for that. You couldn't ask for a better location; it's across the street from the Hauptbahnhof, and one block away from more shopping than you can do in a day! Every hotel in the world should offer an ”Olaf”! Olaf is the most outstanding of this hotel's very service-oriented staff; he is everywhere you need him to be right when you need him there!! If we owned a hotel chain, we would be trying to hire him away from the Graf Zeppelin - he's that good!! This hotel also has an elegant cigar bar. Although I'm not into cigars, it's so elegant that I did not mind accompanying my husband there. My husband's exact words were ”this place has the very best cigars I've ever tried, and an exquisite class of whiskey!” And thanks to Olaf, our preferred table was reserved in the restaurant and in the cigar bar every evening; We will definitely return to this hotel! Oh, I forgot to mention.......we've traveled a lot and have been in a lot of hotels; this was the first that offered a WALK-IN closet with ample storage storage! The two sinks in the bathroom, both a tub AND a shower were also a plus....comforts of home! (We were in a junior suite)
- Guest User
Four nights in a junior suite - luxury bed for two, pity it's too soft, but the third bed for the kid is awfully uncomfortable. One should know that the hotel is is the middle of a huge building site - the railway station is being reconstructed. Both restaurants are closed, despite having been told that one is open, so only room service. Personnel are polite, everybody speaks English, the room was clean, but there's no 5-star feeling. The soap and shower gel are in squeezing wall dispensers, Complementary water means one small bottle for the whole stay, not one per day. Toilet seat lid in not soft-closing, a big surprise. You wan to stay an extra day - no problem, but if you want to leave one day earlier - no refund. So, we paid five star price for a four star hotel in a central location but a construction site with no amenities one would expect. A very disappointing experience.

The appearance and service level of the hotel is undoubtedly four-star level. The Royal Palace of Ludwigsburg is also very close. But the interior decoration of the room is similar to that of a budget chain hotel. Parking is 12 euros per night.
- TIANYI
Hotel location is good, there seems to be a former palace, it is very convenient to bring children together. Hotel breakfast is good! There is a parking lot at the door for easy parking!

Location: There is a lake next to the castle of Monrepos, a vinegar of the Duke of Württemberg, a golf course and in the middle of a beautiful park. The motorway and the Bundesstraße are near, but neither hear nor see it. It is a rest pool surrounded by pulsating life and shopping at appropriate distance. Bicycle paths are wonderful. Promenade is also dreamfully possible. Clearly, this is also very much going through the day - not in the hotel but drums around. The rooms are very clean and very modern (grey/white) . I like this very well. The building is a 2-stop, relaxed flat-dækkeur. The staff is very competent, friendly and very well trained. Sauna and fitness is very modern and sufficient. Breakfast is of excellent quality - is crooked in the winter garden and leaves no wishes open. Only, some (surprisingly often seniors) do not keep the Corona rules a /am Buffet without mask! We were very satisfied and can continue to recommend the hotel without any restriction. We will come back.
