I was in a King room. My main complaints with the room are design issues. First, the shower head is so high that you must be at least 5'8 or higher to adjust it. I am 5'4” and I needed about 6 more inches to adjust it. Luckily it was on a setting I could deal with. The toilet was running as fast as it could when I got there. Maintenance looked at it and we got that stopped, but the handle continued to stick. The shower dripped all night. There was no bath mat in the bathroom. The room itself is DARK. Even with all of the lamps on, the room is dark with lots of shadows. I realize a lot of folks don't like overhead lights anymore, but this room was begging for it. The bed was very comfortable, but the pillows - notsomuch. I liked the furnishings! Hampton needs to take a look at some of these things as they're adjusting their designs in the future. Breakfast was great as usual!

I was traveling home to alabama from a long overseas trip after landing in Atlanta. It was after midnight and I didn't think it was safe for me to drive any further. Being by myself I wanted and safe and convenient place to stop-and found it at the Hampton Inn in Opelika. Check in was efficient and I climbed into a VERY comfortable bed. After a good night's sleep and an excellent breakfast, I drove home. It was a great place to make a break in my journey.

When I booked the hotel online, I was worried that the hotel facilities were not good. After I found out that all the concerns were redundant, the hotel was opposite Auburn University. It was quiet, clean and tidy, and the service was very good. The front desk can go to the airport bus. The rooms are fully equipped with microwave, coffee machine and refrigerator! The bed is very soft and slightly higher than the domestic hotel! Breakfast is not included, breakfast includes $16 for one person, and there are not many varieties!

It is on the campus of Auburn University. I love the orange ice water in their lobby, which is very fresh. The hotel has convenient parking and good surrounding environment. It is a must-have hotel for Auburn University. There are a lot of cafes in the surrounding restaurants.

All of the staff were very friendly and professional! From check in to Miss Yniece ( not sure if spelled correctly) who did a fantastic job with breakfast! It was so delicious, I am truly impressed. The best 3 star hotel breakfast I have EVER had and I'm a huge food and hotel snob!! Bed and room was comfortable. The cleanliness is a little less than desirable, the floors and seating needs some thorough attention. I'd definitely come back, and when I do, hopefully Miss Yneice will still be there cooking and the staff are just as pleasant and professional. Thank yall!!

This is a great location right off the interstate but not in a busy area. Restaurants were just a short drive away. Hotel and room were clean, as expected. Breakfast was included and was a traditional hotel breakfast. Price was comparable to other hotels of the same class.

The actual room was kind of nice, I was expecting worse. The AC worked, some lighting didn't, but overall, the room was fine. The Titanium benefits do not exist at this hotel and front desk could not care less to learn more about Marriott program. When I asked what are the Titanium benefits at this hotel, the response was if you have enough points, you can get a free room......Oy vey, paging Bonvoy support for basic program education. The upgrade was flat out denied, although there were several suites remaining unoccupied and available for sale even in the late hours of the night. The hotel has a restaraunt, which I highly do Not recommend. The $14 burger was absolutely disgusting and cold.

We stayed there on the night of February 22. When we checked in about 2 PM, the desk clerk noted the hot water was out just then, and would be back on in about 10 minutes. The Hot Water never came on for the rest of our stay. Our showers were quite cold the next morning. Very irritating is that this hotel is in the same paring lot as a twin building housing a Tru by Hilton where rooms are $30 cheaper. Had they been honest about the Hot Water situation, we would have stayed there and had hot water. Also very irritating was upon checkout, the desk clerk told us she could do nothing about adjusting our bill for the inconvenience and we would have to speak to the General Manager. I have her my cell phone details and asked her to have the general Manager call me as soon as possible. Haven't heard rom the General Manager which I guess shows his level of concern with the situation and how he feels Bonvoy Gold guests should be treated

What you expect from a Hampton. Easy in and out with a clean, comfortable room. Everything was good with plenty of power plugs (120v and USB). Only downside is that this Hampton like many others are getting a little worn looking but this one was definitely worth the cost.
