"This is now called the Hotel Granada Palace. The deals available for this four star (????) hotel are incredible - which frankly says it all ....... don’t be seduced, you’ll avoid disappointment! We paid for 3 nights, almost left after 1 and had to go after 2. This could be a very nice hotel. The reception and foyer is beautiful and most of the staff are delightful - especially the silver service trained bar and restaurant manager, though the night concierge was the most obnoxious individual imaginable with no place in a service industry. The failing has to be in the management as most things could be rectified with attention to detail and care. Breakfast is mediocre and so poorly laid out that you will constantly find yourself walking from one end of the room to the other ...... the juices aren’t fresh, the pastries dry, eggs absolutely disgusting etc etc - cereal was nice though. The restaurant and bar menu is presented on cheap 80/90gs paper ..... with it displayed on a broken metal music stand outside the bar ...... the sort of music stands your children use at school (ie the cheapest). The food however was decent enough and as previously noted the manager/head waiter a star. The rooms are spacious enough but soulless with poor amenities - no tea and coffee facilities, hardly anything in the minibar, the tv is so old it has scart sockets and no hdmi, toiletries ...... hardly any point in having them. The bed itself was comfortable as were the pillows. It’s all tired and uncared for and I cannot for the life of me understand how it has a four star rating - three star at the best. It’s a cheap night’s rest but not a holiday hotel. "
"Lovely Hotel not far from Sierra Nevada Ski resort, and Granada city.Rooms are nice and roomy, with terrace, good bathroom, several restaurants to choose from,Casino and Spa.We have stayed in Sierra Nevada many times before and for a change we tried this,no regrets, only 25 minutes and your skiing,or 10 minutes and your in Granada city Centre.."
"This hotel was included in our packaged trip, and luckily we had only one night here. It has apparently been re-branded as "Granada Palace Hotel", a pathetic misnomer, as it is neither in Granada, nor a palace. Any refitting done on the property was minimal. The furniture in the room was old and stained. There was hair on the bathroom floor that did not belong to us. The products in the room were so minimal that the sliver of soap they provided was not enough to wash one's hands. The same woman at the front desk checked us in and out. Both times, she was so rude and condescending I couldn't believe it. Almost everyone else I encountered during two weeks in Spain was gracious, helpful and friendly. She didn't even give us accurate information about the restaurants located ON THE PROPERTY. The food in the lobby bar was horrible, and so was the breakfast. If you need a large, inexpensive room in this area, this may be for you. One positive I can report is that we didn't get bedbugs."

"Firstly the location was perfect for my needs - solo hiking in the Cumbres Verdes area (and further into Sierra Nevada). Easy access via the forest road at the top of the Cumbres Verdes urbanisation. The rooms were comfortable and spacious and had plenty of furniture for storing all my stuff. The rooms were always warm with radiators for drying my stuff when needed. Without fail my room was cleaned every day with new sheets - so good after a day's hiking. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Pedro, Celia and Natasha. They put on a nice breakfast and in the evenings you can go down for food from the menu. It's quite informal and welcoming. The burgers are amazing, home made, I think I had then on 4 nights they were so good. My room was upgraded for free after the first night because a bigger room became available. (I didn't ask for this, it was offered). Pedro gave me his number so I could message him after a day of solo hiking at altitude, to make sure I got down safe. He checked in with me at 5pm to make sure I was ok. Great guy and great team of welcoming staff. For me it was great because I could keep to myself or chat with other staff/guests as I chose to. Definitely I recommend, and I hope to return in summer months."
"Rustic and Charming. Everything we were looking for. Fantastic location overlooking the City of Granada. The staff was fantastic. Very friendly and very attentive to our every need. The food was fantastic. Always very fresh and very flavorful. Natasha is a fantastic chef and I would like to take her back to America with me. We ate every breakfast and dinner there. Would definitely recommend this hotel and staff if your travels take you to Granada Spain. it is located within a national park with walking and hiking paths and bicycling trails and snow skiing and snowboarding are only a short drive away. The views are fantastic and the beds are very very comfortable. And the dog doona is the friendliest you will ever meet .. LOL"
"We were on a cycling trip and this small hotel is in the middle of countless cycling paths through the woods. My wife said it was the best hotel she has ever stayed in..we all loved it. The view at from the room night is like you are on a plane flying past Granada. The food was excellent..especially the breakfast with home made cakes and pastries. All the staff were so friendly. The rooms were warm (cold night outside ) and so well designed...more like a lovely home than a hotel. We are already booked to return ."

"This is a surprisingly fine three star hotel. The hotel is located in Capileira, which is a lovely and charming village worth a visit in itself. We stayed here in connection with a hicking trip to Mulachen. It was convenient to stay here with just a two minute walk to the bus to Mulachen. The hotel is in the heart of Capileira and can really recommend the hotel. The hotel have very big and beautiful rooms, elegantly decorated with a comfortable color palette. New renovated bathroom. Good beds. Very nice and service oriented staff. The hotel has a lovely backyard, with large pool and also a good gym. As I say, stay here if you are going to live in Capileira!"
"What a great find this hotel was. We had a spacious and very comfortable room looking out to the church (the bells stopped at night) and across the valley. Helpful friendly staff. Good buffet breakfast with great coffee. The pool and garden were not yet open but will be a real treat in the summer months. And we loved Capileira, a beautiful village in the lovely Poqueira valley."
"We stayed at the hotel at the beginning of a walking holiday. We were greeted warmly with some of the best customer service I've ever experienced; our room was light, very comfortable and clean; breakfast was really tasty - above average in comparison to the other hotels we stayed in the area. Capileira is a beautiful spot - would love to go back again."

"This was our 4th for 5th stay at Victor's fabulous hotel (family live in the area). We spent a week here this time, staying in one of the very large bedrooms overlooking the pool and gardens. The beds are comfortable, the AC efficient, fridge in room, super bathroom with great water pressure, excellent balcony, individually decorated rooms. Really superb pool, with salt water, not chlorine, great pool showers and WC close. Sufficient sunbeds and plenty of shade if you don't want to sit on the pool terrace. Staff always available, Victor, young Victor and another barman. Hotel immaculately clean (we were always up early and staff mostly finished cleaning common parts by 9am). Fair standard buffet breakfast, loads of choice of fruit and meats and bread (would have been good to have been offered an egg option). Loads of terrace space for drinks. Superb location for exploring the area - both driving to different villages and some challenging walking! We would never consider staying anywhere else as you can go out for the day and there is the hotel bar and 3 other bar/restaurants within easy walking distance so no need to drive again in the evening. Plus superb, personal welcome"
"This hotel is an absolute Gem. The owners have had it for 19 years and the decoration and style is unique. The central entrance room is a forest of mature indoor plants and palms and there are interesting and varied local art on all the walls. There are books in numerous languages on nearly every table. Our room was colouful and the balcony overlooked the swimming pool and the rugged gorge further down the valley. We were going to eat a simple supper but the owner offered us the set menu that another group of walkers were having. It was a feast of tapas, and a delicious Hake dish and dessert. We were stuffed."
"I think this is the only accommodation in this very quiet Las Alpujarras. Perhaps the only disadvantage is the very narrow unfenced road leading to it from the main road. As a consequence we took all our evening meals in the village rather than have a night time drive back from one of the other villages in the area. Dinner at "the Piano Bar" was excellent on both evenings."

"First time to the area. Booked this hotel as very reasonably priced. We went half board. Later read the great previews and couldn’t agree more with them. So glad we stayed for two nights. Great food. Beautiful and great location. We had a very relaxing stay and would definitely recommend and will revisit. The staff were all very friendly and special thanks to ( unfortunately I’ve forgotten her name) the “daytime receptionist/ manageress, so welcoming and patient and very helpful with recommendations for local walks. We were trying to practice our Spanish and she was a brilliant teacher!! Thank you.😁 If you want to escape the hustle and bustle then this is the place."
"We were given villa number 22. It was big for a four member family and everything was clean. The beds were very comfortable and since it's a quiet village, there was no noise to disturb your sleep. We had breakfast included and they had a good variety to choose from. The food quality was ok too. We went hiking from Bubión to Capileira and it was a nice path to try if you have good legs. The views and surroundings in the area were outstanding and if you like nature, you must consider trying one of the four or five paths that the village offers to its visitors. The only thing that we didn't like much about the hotel was the sofa. It was quite uncomfortable and you couldn't sit there for more than 30 minutes. The thing that we liked the most was how nice the hotel staff was. They are always helpful and nice to talk to."
"This is one of our favorite hotels and location. A pueblo feel with a good restaurant, terrace, pool area. This year was a new experience as traveling with a handicapped person and wheelchair. Access was good to the public areas of the hotel we enjoyed relaxing and the pool and terrace area. The beauty and quiet could be enjoyed. The handicap room worked extremely well. One change would be a sofa like in other rooms as when my husband was sleeping it was the only place to relax as he could not be left alone. The hotel have been extremely helpful with my special diet and helped us with special requests. The receptionist and waiter Juan we have had before were extremely helpful. Although we were not able to enjoy the trekking and climbing the village as before it was an exceptional much needed break and we will return."

"Got caught in heavy snow storm on way to Sierra Nevada and turned up at this hotel at midnight. The staff were very helpful and gave us accommodation. Nice breakfast and moved on following day as roads were clear..... thanks guys!"
"I’ve stayed here several times over the years and I can’t fault the quality of the service..the staff are very enthusiastic and helpful, although you do need to speak some Spanish, the restaurant serves tasty, wholesome country fayre, the breakfasts are plentiful and there’s lots of piping hot water. Unfortunately the rooms are in need of investment and refurbishment....it was ok for the one night I stayed recently, but without some work on the accommodations I would be hard pushed to consider staying here for any longer."
"What can I say - been staying at this hotel for a few years now in the winter months for a spot of skiing but haven’t been here for a couple of years.... Is been take over by a new company - there was nothing to asset strip but they’ve certainly not added anything at all. 12 Tripp’s to the room to get the electronic door key to work over three days only to be told “ all rooms are like this but it’s €2,000 to change all the locks😩 I won’t be returning and don’t suggest you venture there either!"

"We stayed at this hotel for 1 night during our stay in Capileria. This hotel is extremely good value for money. The large rooms provide private bathroom, pool towels and the hotel is perfectly situated for a 2min stroll into town. The pool and buffet breakfast were a lovely touch to a great hotel. We were initially worried that there was no air on, given that we were visiting in summer, but we the temperature of the room was pleasant and comfortable with the windows open overnight. We managed to get a park right out front of the hotel, otherwise there is parking at the bottom of the driveway. We would definitely recommend staying in this hotel."
"This was a lovely hotel in a lovely village. We were a family of 4 (2 parents and 2 college-age kids). Room was spacious and clean, with balcony overlooking the village and valley with great views. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel restaurant was good, with good fixed price dinner menu; included a good breakfast. The village itself was beautiful and fascinating culturally, so staying at this pleasantly surprising hotel was a great bonus."
"Finca Los Llanos offers a great experience end to end. Our room was on the small side but pleasant and very clean. The bathroom was well appointed with a great shower. The service from the staff is very friendly and helpful. Among all services, we give highest mark to the restaurant (esp. dinner). It offers amazing variety and quality of food, exceptional and attentive service at a great value. "
