"This is now called the Hotel Granada Palace. The deals available for this four star (????) hotel are incredible - which frankly says it all ....... don’t be seduced, you’ll avoid disappointment! We paid for 3 nights, almost left after 1 and had to go after 2. This could be a very nice hotel. The reception and foyer is beautiful and most of the staff are delightful - especially the silver service trained bar and restaurant manager, though the night concierge was the most obnoxious individual imaginable with no place in a service industry. The failing has to be in the management as most things could be rectified with attention to detail and care. Breakfast is mediocre and so poorly laid out that you will constantly find yourself walking from one end of the room to the other ...... the juices aren’t fresh, the pastries dry, eggs absolutely disgusting etc etc - cereal was nice though. The restaurant and bar menu is presented on cheap 80/90gs paper ..... with it displayed on a broken metal music stand outside the bar ...... the sort of music stands your children use at school (ie the cheapest). The food however was decent enough and as previously noted the manager/head waiter a star. The rooms are spacious enough but soulless with poor amenities - no tea and coffee facilities, hardly anything in the minibar, the tv is so old it has scart sockets and no hdmi, toiletries ...... hardly any point in having them. The bed itself was comfortable as were the pillows. It’s all tired and uncared for and I cannot for the life of me understand how it has a four star rating - three star at the best. It’s a cheap night’s rest but not a holiday hotel. "
"Lovely Hotel not far from Sierra Nevada Ski resort, and Granada city.Rooms are nice and roomy, with terrace, good bathroom, several restaurants to choose from,Casino and Spa.We have stayed in Sierra Nevada many times before and for a change we tried this,no regrets, only 25 minutes and your skiing,or 10 minutes and your in Granada city Centre.."
"This hotel was included in our packaged trip, and luckily we had only one night here. It has apparently been re-branded as "Granada Palace Hotel", a pathetic misnomer, as it is neither in Granada, nor a palace. Any refitting done on the property was minimal. The furniture in the room was old and stained. There was hair on the bathroom floor that did not belong to us. The products in the room were so minimal that the sliver of soap they provided was not enough to wash one's hands. The same woman at the front desk checked us in and out. Both times, she was so rude and condescending I couldn't believe it. Almost everyone else I encountered during two weeks in Spain was gracious, helpful and friendly. She didn't even give us accurate information about the restaurants located ON THE PROPERTY. The food in the lobby bar was horrible, and so was the breakfast. If you need a large, inexpensive room in this area, this may be for you. One positive I can report is that we didn't get bedbugs."
