After some initial problems finding my reservation, we had a lovely stay at the Burleigh Court. Dinner in the restaurant was a bit slow, but the quality was good and the service polite. Breakfast was good, with plenty of options for those not into the full English breakfast. The hotel is situated in a quiet corner of the Loughborough University Campus with lots of green space around it. We really enjoyed our stay.

I went to see a child studying at Loughborough University. I saw this hotel on Ctrip. I placed an order directly. I was a little worried. I didn't expect everything would be convenient after I arrived. Then I continued to stay for another day.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. It is quite dated and the front desk is manned at limited times of the day.

The friends we went to from the airport were very convenient. It would be great if we took a taxi directly. Then the front desk service was very friendly. We stayed in so many hotels and felt that the price performance of the hotel was very high. Recommended

The breakfast is not bad, the environment is good, but compared to domestic, the room does not have slippers and toiletries

Dear Marriott Hotel Leicester, Thursday evening (18/08/22), I went to the Marriott Bar for a drink with a friend, between the hours of 8:15pm to 11:15pm, the ambiance was lovely as per usual, customer service was spot on and overall I was having an pleasant evening. Nonetheless with a consumption of a few drinks, my bladder was due to burst and I made a trip to the ladies. Whilst I was washing my hands, I heard someone in the cubicle flush the toilet, she came out and walked straight out the door! Yes that’s correct she didn’t WASH HER HANDS. This wasn’t just any women, it was an employee of the Marriott Hotel! I saw her walk to the Market Street bar/restaurant which is part of the hotel and she had continued to work! Marriott, do you not teach your staff members the very basics of hygiene and the importance around this??? It was rather disgusting and concerning to witness, especially to have seen this female work in the bar/restaurant area? Description of female: long black tied up hair, 5’4 approx and of a large build to put it in a polite manner! I’m just glad I didn’t vomit with such disgust!!! Yours truly :-)

Reviews From Real Travelers
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I was really reluctant to write this review as everyone I spoke to at the hotel during my stay was helpful and friendly, the staff there were top. However after complaining about the stay when checking out, again the woman I spoke to was lovely but said a manager would need to get in touch. It’s been four days and the owner/manager hasn’t. I gave them the opportunity to get in touch and see what went wrong, now I just need to be honest about the stay. This was the worst night sleep I ever had, in a hotel or otherwise. We paid for a suite, so one of the nicest rooms in the hotel. However from the moment we got in the room it was unbearable. The heat in the room was like being in a sauna - that isn’t an exaggeration. We went around the room to see if there were any radiators on that we didn’t spot! Unbearable. There is no air conditioning in the room just a tiny fan left on the side for us to use. That provided no relief. Maybe your thinking open a window, they are prevented from opening more than a few inches. So we were just stuck in this unbearable room with no alternative. In order to get the 2 hours sleep I did get that night. I had to get up and stand in a cold shower multiple times. This was a stop on a road trip my wife and I were having for our honeymoon. I rated all the other hotels 5 star they were amazing. This put a real downer in our otherwise perfect trip. I was embarrassed picking this hotel to stay in as one of our stops. Avoid it like the plague.

Didnt't get to stay here sadly as our trip was cancelled due to an event being postponed because of the Queen's passing. They had the right to charge me the full amount as agreed with Booking.com. But chose to waive the fee instead, which was thoroughly decent of them, especially given they would have lost a lot of bookings because of this and just off the back of 2 years of covid too. I shall def be staying here when our event is rescheduled.

Business trips are rarer these days. In the case of the Quorn Grange Hotel this is a mercy. You do NOT want to stay here any time soon. Travelling from Glasgow, I arrived 3 hours later than I had intended. However - at 2120, there was no room service available - not even a sandwich. I hadn’t eaten since 1300. I was advised to ‘phone a carry out’… However the delivery time from Dominos was >1hour by which time I was planning to be asleep. I tried to connect my devices to the internet in my room (305) but was unable to get a signal on any of them (2 iPhones and a laptop). I needed wifi because I had online meetings all day I phoned reception to inform them and ask advice at 2145. The phone rang for 2.5 mins. (That’s quite a long time for a hotel reception to pick up the phone for a resident?!) And then the answer…. ‘Oh yes. 305. It’s a bit of a hotspot I’m afraid - I’ll get back to you’. But of course - No one did. I went town to reception at 2230. No one was there. No one was at the bar either. Or in the kitchen where I shouted ‘Hello?! Is anyone around?’ After a further 6 minutes of searching around I was eventually introduced to a young man at reception. I told him that I’d phoned abojt the wifi problem but no one had got back to me. Disinterested, and avoiding eye contact completely, he told me he had only just come on. I asked if there had been a handover. He said yes - at 1100 (it was now 2245). I asked where the previous lady was who had said she would get back to me - he didn’t know (or care). He asked me to try my wifi at reception. I pointed out that it worked at reception - but that was no help in my room. He walked into the kitchen and I asked ‘what should I do?’ He answered ‘I’m not a mechanic’…. At 2248 an older gentleman appeared and said he was unaware Thee was a wifi problem in 305. I pointed out that his colleague seemed to know there was a hotspot there. He didn’t. He disappeared and came back a few mins later and said ‘I’ve just tried wifi outside your door and it works fine.’ I asked if he didn’t believe me and he agreed to come into my room to see. I showed him all three devices not connecting whilst his did. As I type this in my room (305) there is still no wifi signal. Eventually he suggested another room - however none were available. So he arranged (helpfully) for me to have a meeting room for my meetings. Which I was grateful for and used successfully. Then I got to lunchtime. 1200 was advertised as the time when bar lunches were available. I went to the bar at 1155 to ask if I could order food. I was informed that there was no food available until 1300 because ‘there’s a wedding on’. I asked ‘what about other residents who may need to eat?’ Once again I was advised to contact Dominos - which I already knew would take a hour. So. Overall. An incredibly suboptimal experience in a place that describes itself as ‘a perfect setting’…. Oh. And by the way. The violent pictures from the miners

Cannot fault the quality and quantity of food for the sparkling afternoon tea. Sandwiches were fresh and tasty with hot sausage rolls and quiche. Scones were lovely and warm with plenty of jam and cream. Nice selection of little cakes. All washed down with a great prosecco.

It is a pretty standard Novotel. It was clean and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is good and fairly central. It was just over £200 for a Saturday night which was dear for a hotel of this standard but I do appreciate the economics of supply and demand. Overall would use again if in Leicester
- Guest User
It's a Novotel so we know what to expect. They know how to do hotels and this is no exception. Friendly staff on check-in and check-out, but poor service in the bar. Rooms are good with massive TV and plenty of charging points. As ever with the chain, the location is slightly on the edge of town, but still fine.

A quaint little village far removed from the urban sprawl of Leicester, peace and tranquility wrapped around a lovely looking pub with rooms. Very pleasant owners and staff. Comfy clean modern room with good amenities and a very good night sleep. Food was delicious and I sat in the bar which was filled with excited happy chatter and nice background music. Smoked mackerel with beetroot and the trio of Venison sausages washed down with very well kept Timothy Taylors Landlord, what a pleasant stay.

We stayed at The Star Inn after a day at Ragdale Hall and were very happy with it. The little village is very pretty although we didn't find much to do on the second day. There is plenty of parking and the pub itself is in great condition and has lots of great history. We had a twin room which had comfy beds and a good size bathroom. There was tea and coffee making facilities. We ate our evening meal there and enjoyed a continental breakfast which was included in the stay. The food was lovely. I would definitely recommend it.

Hotel was lovely and clean, would stay again… but the food on the other hand was terrible and would never eat there again… too expensive and looks like they shop at Iceland.
