Reviews From Real Travelers
My wife and I enjoyed a lovely quiet springtime break in this jewel of a property just five or ten minutes from Epernay. First the lovely buildings superlatively furnished with pretty, well appointed rooms of course with en-suite baths and walk-in showers. Beautiful grounds with lovely shrubs and gardens with, at the time of year we visited pretty rough law lawns great for wild life. The elegant dining room with wonderful silver service and a super menu. If there is one very minor criticism, the menu is rather narrow for four nights, but that is nitpicking as the offering is beautifully cooked and presented. The wine list is magnificent with the first twenty five or so pages devoted to a wonderful array of Champagnes from minor to major houses. Finally, the staff, they are superb, attentive, professional and oh so friendly, and when it counts, so knowledgeable!

Very beautiful house and gardens. Room nice and clean. Friendly welcome. Down sides: Recommended an Overpriced taxi (60 eur for 8 minute drive), loud children in spa so no chance to relax. Restaurant: food was excellent! but service not worth five stars. They did not understand „medium-rare“ for a beef fillet and mixed up our orders multiple times. Reached over everyone‘s plate while serving. Very disappointing service for a Michelin Star Restaurant.

Stayed here for one night as a stopover, there’s an underground car park which is a couple of minutes walk away and costs around 15 eur for 24 hours. Hotel is clean and modern, comfy bed and great shower. Can’t complain at all - all very comfortable and location is perfect in the middle of town. Didn’t have the breakfast but there’s a good bakery in town 5 minutes walk away where you can get coffee , sandwiches and pastries.

We are always looking forward to a stay at Epernay. This time we choose the Ibis hotel. The location of the hotel, right in the centre of town is excellent. Right in de middle of the shopping street. At walking distance from the Avenue de Champagne and bars and restaurants. Rooms are small but tidy and they have airco. Breakfast is tasty and fresh with enough choice. Enough parking spaces in the vicinity.

This was booked last minute so went for the location and happy to go cheap and cheerful as it was only 1 night and were out all day. Given the price point most things were acceptable, nothing fancy, no frills and that’s okay. Everything was neat and very clean. The problem lies that there is no ventilation in the room. -no windows or AC. We didn’t notice until late at night, after dinner. There is a random door to the garden and car park outside but no screen and no way we were going to leave it open through the night. So of course the room got stuffy and uncomfortable to sleep in. Not sure on the laws in France but think rooms should offer some form of ventilation.

The hosts, whom had recently started running Kyriad were so loving. Seldom have I met a couple with such spirit, and feel for their customers needs. They were super helpful, and engaged in conversations with their customers. Wich made our stay feeling very much like home, and also giving us the feeling of being welcome. I'm looking forward to visit the hotel again

AVOID Don't stay in this hotel if: you like your room dark, your beds not creaky, but most of all if you would like your hotel to take responsibility for other guests being able to enter your room during the night. Around 2:30 PM we were woken up by another (drunk) guest in our room, who was accompanied by a group of friends outside. My wife was terrified. Safe to say we did not sleep much after that. The next day we took this up with the reception, where security footage showed that the door opened by itself in the early hours of the night. The door had been closed properly and locked. The hotel proceeded to do their very best to put the blame for this occurrence on us and on the guest entering our room in the middle of the night, even when it turned out the door-closing mechanism was faulty as it was not screwed onto the door. The hotel manager even tried to downplay the fact that the door-closing mechanism was faulty to us. Then, the email address they provided to us to escalate our complaint bounced (yes, we double-checked the spelling). As a result, we've lost all trust in this hotel, and we'd not be surprised if they try to blame us again for the door opening by itself due to a faulty door-closing mechanism in the middle of the night in a response below. At least none of our things were taken and my wife wasn't alone in the room. It could have been much worse than a few lost hours of sleep. We will never stay in any Vacancéole property ever again. We'd recommend you to do the same.

Normal location, about 20 minutes to center by walking. Strange and weird that reception is working at morning several hours and afternoon several hours, you can’t check-in in another time. They have working break from 12 till 16 o’clock. We’ve tried to call, but there was auto responder.
Room was perfect! Large, clean and with beautiful view.

Reviews From Real Travelers
I needed to book a room for the night in Epernay last minute accommodation for just a night and was recommended by a friend. For the UK readers this hotel is between a travel lodge and premier in and at £38 for two people for the night is incredible value. The staff were welcoming and helpful and the parking plentiful and free. A 15 minute walk into town to visit the champagne houses was easy. There are add ins such as breakfast available. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom a small preformed pod solution. All basic no frills but perfect for our needs. The £38 I paid is incredible value Would definitely stay again if the need arose.

This budget hotel is good value for money but don’t have big expectations. Ensuite is quirky almost like a bathroom in a motor home! Towels are small and only 2 pillows on the bed. But it was clean, had a secure car park and cheap! About a 15 min walk into town so take that into account when booking. Friendly staff.
