My family and I stayed at this hotel in February 2024 and genuinely say we had a wonderful time. When you arrive at the hotel and walk into the entrance, you are impressed and the same feeling continues. As you walk around the hotel see the beautiful pools. The landscaping and the karen attention has been taken to ensure your stay is luxurious. . The food in resturants was excellent, and I I do particularly want to call out the main restaurant which we found the choice to be excellent service to be excellent and as of vegetarian I never struggled for choice. The rest of my family went as fussy as me and likewise had a fantastic experience. Plenty of choice of pools from Family one to an adult one and then some small ones, plus the infinity ball. We did not try the infinity pool as the water in there was too cold but I have to say it looked wonderful and I’m sure in the summer would be incredible to use. Where I feel Hotel could make some improvements harris follow :- > it’s a bit We were reminded on a number of occasions by the waiters serving the family pool that we are only allowed to use their service twice in one day per room, after that, we would have to pay €6 per person. I believe there should be no cap, having one I found rather petty.. > sports facilities were good such as Paddel and Tennis, but I was a little surprised you had to pay to use the facilities. We have stayed at other hotels, even four star and did not have to pay for the facilities. > in the rooms there was clear notice that you could use the soluble coffee, but if you chose to use an nesprosso pod in the machine provided you had to pay. Likewise, you had some alcohol within the room which was all chargeable. You could drink the Coca-Cola, the water or the tonic water, but if you chose the fanta orange you had to pay. Given this is a five star hotel and all inclusive with no limit on any drinks you want to get from the bars and bring back to your room again, I feel this was petty.. Overall, a great holiday, do recommend this to other travellers, but just ask the management look at some of the comments above and change policy.

Superb stay! Hotel is big but also very welcoming. Staff were friendly, attentive & very conscientious. Facilities are excellent and we used the gym every day. Several large pools in lush gardens in a laid back, relaxed environment. We stayed on the all inclusive package and the food was varied, tasty with plenty of options. Overall it was an amazing experience I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Beautiful old bijoux hotel. We first saw this hotel last year when having a day trip to Garachico and felt we had to return. It didn’t disappoint. We were very much welcomed by all the staff who seemed delighted to share the history of this extraordinary property. We had a junior suite which gave us an extra room and it overlooked the square. Don’t worry about the clock tower chiming. Last chimes at 23.00 and first at 07.00. It was a bit noisy on the Saturday evening with families having, what felt like, a traditional Spanish family weekend evening. I enjoyed listening to the children having fun. Only small criticism about the room is the AC didn’t really work, but sleeping with the shutters open cooled the room nicely in February. The courtyard garden was a pleasure to sit in and feel cosseted by the lovely staff. Breakfast buffet was tasty with options for most nationalities. A small suggestion would be have small jugs available for the milk of tea drinkers. I strongly recommend this beautiful hotel.

A wonderful place to stay located in the heart of the old town looking out onto the square. The moment you walk into the hotel you know you’ve made the right choice the staff are friendly helpful and nearly all multilingual. You then walk through the interior courtyard which is quite stunning with its plants trees and water fountain, a place of peace and beauty. The room was comfortable with all the facilities I would expect. What’s more the hotel has the best restaurant in town. When we realised we had left some of our belongings behind the staff again were very helpful arranging to post the stuff back to us in the UK. Definitely recommend without question

Wow, what a great find Barceló Santiago was. Today is our last day of six at this hotel and it was brilliant. A little more pricey than others but well worth it. • Absolutely stunning views. It’s definitely worth a little extra for a sea view room. The feeling of walking into our room on Monday with the curtains shut and pulling them apart to reveal the view was the most amazing surprise. The cliffs of Los Gigantes are breathtaking and I couldn’t stop looking through the window. • Good location. There are a good number of shops and restaurants around the hotel. Not an overwhelming amount but good enough for us. Express supermarket just outside the hotel was handy, however the sun cream is so expensive there so if you run out, I’d suggest going to Lidl about 10 minutes up the hill where it isn’t overpriced. We liked walking toward the port of Santiago where there is a small beach and lots of shops and restaurants. It only takes 15-20 minutes and it’s not too hilly. You can also walk the other way towards La Arena which has many more restaurants, bars and shops and a larger beach. Just outside the hotel we visited Alfonso’s bar and Torreón which both do lovely food, we would recommend giving them a go. • Super clean and tidy. The hotel feels very new and the entire place is well kept. The cleaners do a wonderful job in the rooms and the communal areas. • Friendly staff. The staff are very cheerful and all speak good English as well as other languages. The restaurant and bar staff are quick to serve you drinks to your table which is nice. • Food. Although the majority of the food was the same each night they did make an effort with themes. Mexican night was a personal favourite and the food was generally well cooked and always hot. My partner enjoyed the meat and fish on offer each night, however I ate mostly different stuff as I am vegan. I managed to find plenty to eat at lunch and dinner though - lots of salads and veg was available as well as beans, lentil dishes, potatoes and bread. You do have to be careful with the labels on food though. Things had vegan labels but listed egg or dairy in the allergens so just be wary of that if you need to be. Breakfast does get a bit boring though as you are restricted to toast, tomatoes, spinach and beans because mushrooms might have meat added or cheese is put on the potatoes. • Drinks. If you are fussy with drinks, it’s probably worth going for all inclusive plus. My partner and I like cocktails on holiday but they weren’t great. They are the typical all inclusive pre-mixes that aren’t the best so the premium ones are probably better. I ended up sticking to soft drinks and spirits because that seemed to be the safer option. • Outside areas. There are multiple large pools which is ideal in a large hotel like this. There were always enough sun beds too which was nice, never had to worry about those annoying people who reserve sun beds all day and you never get a chance at using one. •Entertainment. We par

We had a lovely stay at Barcelo Santiago which is situated in a quieter area of Tenerife. Food- delicious, drinks really good. The rooms were great, standard hotel room but very clean. The whole hotel was spotless throughout. The beds were the most comfortable we have slept in , so a great nights sleep. The staff were lovely and couldn’t be more polite and helpful. We stayed in room 253 which was on ground level. If we had had a choice we would have stayed in a room on floor 3 and above because there was a common walkway outside our balcony. There was a constant flow of people walking by so no privacy when you sat out. Apart from that and having to put towels out early to get sun beds with brollies it was a great stay. We hired a Balinese bed for one day which was lovely and even saw a pod of dolphins swimming by. All in all a great holiday.

Reviews From Real Travelers
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 10 nights. We upgraded to platinum which we would highly recommend if you want a nice relaxing break away! Our room was outstanding with one of the best views in the hotel and also very spacious. There are two platinum bars that you can use, all with branded alcohol... one by the pool and one in the main lobby next to the entertainment. The staff were lovely, helpful and friendly... especially when we would go to reception every morning to ask for the mini golf equipment!! The highlight for us was the food, it was the best food that we experienced at an all inclusive hotel with different theme nights each night. As pasta lovers we were in our element!! We booked our trips out through the hotel which was very swift and easy to do. It was very easy to get a sun bed in the morning unlike other resorts we had been to. Which was nice as you can have more of a chilled morning and not have to worry about it! As a young couple there was plenty for us to do... mostly 3 different options every night to decide between which was great! Being platinum guests we could relax in the platinum area while also going and joining the entertainment games in the main pool during the day if we wished. We also enjoyed going out of the hotel to the highland paddy Irish bar (a 5 min taxi ride which reception book the taxi for you). My only fault which could not be helped were that there were a lot of fly's, the hotel tried their best to sort it but it just seemed like a problem in the local area due to all the banana trees around. Thank you very much Landmar we had an amazing time!! And would recommend to every type of person as it seemed there was something for everyone.

I have never written a review before but feel compelled to write one about this hotel and staff! We got back yesterday from the most wonderful holiday. The hotel is spotless, super modern, excellent facilities, warm clean pools, amazing rooms, copious amounts of delicious varied food, great drinks, excellent Wi-Fi around the whole hotel, glorious views of the ocean from our 5th floor room, perfect weather, attentive waiting staff, well kept and manicured grounds and literally something for everyone. The list could go on and on. The biggest shout out has to go out to the animation team… Sandra, Manon and Adrian. My little boy George was so happy to be left with Sandra in the kids club (this is something he isn’t used to!) and her enthusiasm and obvious love for children is so endearing and lovely to see. Our older daughter formed a huge bond with Manon and couldn’t wait to see her everyday. They always had time for the children and adults (knew everyone’s names!) and are just fantastic at their jobs, what an asset to the hotel they are. We even had tears from the children on departing and have promised we will return! If you are thinking about booking this hotel do it, we couldn’t fault a thing and very much hope to return one day!

We stopped here for lunch a couple of years ago and had always planned to come back for an overnight stay. COVID-19 put paid to that last year but the Hotel kept our reservation open and we finally made it this week. It is a beautiful boutique hotel in a small town at the foot to El Teide. Perfect for exploring the Teno mountains, Saintiago valley and El Teide itself. The staff were so friendly and helpful and despite having to wear masks, their smiles shone through and made you feel immediately at home. Our room was a decent size with a lovely bathroom. After a long days hiking I certainly appreciated a soak in the bath rather than a walk in shower. The breakfast buffet covers all the usual options and tevening meal menu was small but varied with interesting choices. The Friday evening Hake was a particular highlight alongside the cold cauliflower soup. The staff asked if I wanted mine warm, perhaps sensing that cold soup is not a particularly British thing, but I wanted to enjoy as the chef intended. All I can say is perhaps cold soup should become a particularly British thing. The wines were local and the size of the after dinner brandies would have won the approval of my mum. It is a great place to stay and if you want to see different aspect to this amazingly varied holiday island then please consider this place as a luxurious base camp for onward exploration

It wasn’t particularly cold outside, but at altitude and in January, we expected to have some heating, in our bedroom and in the public areas. The bedroom had aircon that seemed incapable of heating even though set to 32C when we arrived. Fortunately there was a small noisy electric fan heater in the wardrobe, so we pressed it into service. But the big bathroom with marble everywhere had no heating or ventilation other than that window that could be shut or open wide, nothing in between. At breakfast everyone was dressed for outdoors and the girl on the desk was in a thermal top with a big scarf. Did the architect only visit in summer? In summer it would have been great, our bedroom being comfortably furnished and spacious. Our half board dinner was excessive and only of reasonable quality. Guests who had stayed a few nights before said their helpings were meagre, so for our stay the chef must have overreacted. The cold breakfast was pretty good, but the advertised hot extras had been precooked and left to keep warm, solidified scrambled eggs and undercooked bacon. Could do better!

This hotel has a great deal to recommend it. It's in a delightful old building that has been lovingly looked after, with shining woodwork everywhere and generously proportioned bedrooms (as well as extensive public rooms). However, it would be wrong to suggest that it's all old-fashioned: the TV was hi-spec and the wifi functioned very well. The breakfast too was excellent, with great choice. All in all, it probably the best of the four places we stayed in during a recent visit to Tenerife. Highly recommended.
