"Have stayed many times at Cali Marriott since the hotel opened, they always exceed expectations with food, service and rooms. Central location and always feel safe in the hotel and surrounding areas. The entire property is highly maintained, very clean and fresh. Executive lounge has super variety of food and beverage options, with exceptional service. And the full breakfast buffet at the Market Restaurant is one of the best of any hotel we have experienced. The Executive and Sous Chefs often come out and check on the guests. Management is always walking around the entire property and engaged with the guests, and we love the special events they bring in, such as high-end fashion shows. Their transportation department can easily arrange airport pick up and drop off service at reasonable charges (high recommended). For a full service luxury property, this is the only place to stay in Cali."
"Stayed here one night for a business trip. Feels more like a Courtyard: the room was pretty basic and a bit spartan. There is no make-up mirror in the bathroom, and the shampoo/lotion felt quite cheap. The location was convenient with shopping mall and a number of restaurants within walking distance. When I asked for late check-out, Carlos at the reception was very accommodating and helpful. There can be language issues if you are not a Spanish speaker. I ordered room service (a ceviche), and was told it would arrive in "less than 20 minutes." More than 30 minutes later, I called to check on the status, and was told "he hasn't done it." Dismayed, I asked: "They haven't even made the food?" The reply was "He will do it now." Five minutes after the call, the food was there. It turned out - I think - what wasn't "done" was not the food preparation but the delivery."
"Nice, clean rooms. Comfortable bed. Executive lounge was an added bonus with their beverages and evening snacks. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet every day as it provided a good variety for all travelers. Cocktails at the sushi restaurant were absolutely wonderful especially the ones made from the local fruits. Service there was a little slow, but we learned to plan on at least two hours when it came to dining/drinking...”Colombian time”. Security and safety seemed to be a priority for the hotel as there was a drug sniffing dog, metal detector wand and guest name verification every time we returned to the hotel especially late at night/early morning. The only hiccup—that was rectified by the front desk—was an erroneous room charge from the dining room when I paid cash for the bill. Pay close attention to your bill at checkout!"
