A friend and I had just spent a lovely afternoon at the Morven Museum, the staff there suggested we try the Peacock Inn for lunch since it had ties to Morven. Curious to learn more about it we went. We valeted the car and saw many umbrella tables on the front lawn full of guests that looked like were enjoying a high tea. As we walked up the charming porch, we noticed tables and decided we would sit there. As we entered the inn, we were met with a glare from what we assumed was the front desk manager. I asked if we needed a reservation. He flatly and rudely stated that brunch ended at 2pm. We asked if they were serving lunch. He said in a completely bothered tone in a very pretentious manner that maybe, maybe they could do something like small bites, purveying in his voice that it would be a major inconvenience. We said that was fine and very much appreciated and we would be on the porch. A few minutes later a waiter appeared with a set printed afternoon menu served from 2-5. So, they did offer a set menu, there was no maybe, and we were discounted from the start. There was nothing said about their dining hours, no explanation, no apologies. We decided to leave as we felt unwelcome and looked at as a nuisance. I suggest that this manager be held accountable and relearn how to treat potential guests!

Have had a lovely, very comfortable, charming experience staying here for a week. The staff is gracious, willing to meet any need and care. The bed is very comfortable and the breakfast spread is perfect - great baked goods, frittatas and delicious coffee. Cameron, who tends to it in the mornings is a gem and leaves a genuine, caring impression. Will not hesitate to return.

The room is comfortable and quite big. It is convenient to buy next to the hypermarket. The only disadvantage is that there is no breakfast provided. If you want to go to Washington, the CP value of living here is quite high.

Really great location. Rooms are always clean. The service is top notch. It's a little pricey but it's a Courtyard so you know it's worth it. Also close to town so many great restaurants nearby!

We have used this hotel as our first and last hotel to trips to the USA for many years, due to it being close to Newark International Airport. Covid stopped us for two years, but we were back again this summer. Unfortunately, new management seems to have a negative influence on the hotel. I am handicapped with walking problems and need time to get my body to function in the mornings. But since I can function and do not need a HC room otherwise, I do not book those – leaving them for those who cannot function without. My husband is kind enough to bring me breakfast to the room, so that I can take my medications and slowly start the day. This has never been a problem at any hotel we have staid, when he explains the situation to whoever is in change. But this time a very negative night/early morning duty receptionist would not accept this. He claimed it was not allowed to take food to the rooms, despite the rooms having microwaves, fridges and coffee makers… My husband was denied to bring me the waffle he had made after having his own breakfast downstairs. This is not the attitude we have met here before, and I fail to see how Covid protection can have anything to do with this. Thankfully, the young lady that came on a bit later in the morning had a more human attitude and allowed him to help me. The fact that the renovations talked about several years ago, still has not been done, with peeling wallpaper and black mold around the bathtub isn’t good either. There are cracking tiles several places. It used to be a choice between regular and bold coffee, but that also seems to be gone. Combined with the bad level of service from the night receptionist makes us consider using one of the other hotels near by the next time we visit the area.

Great, fairly new hotel with lots of restaurants within walking distance and a short drive to campus The Good - Kitchen, living room and separate bedroom - Very clean - Staff was very nice - Breakfast included The not-so good - No waffle maker! Seems like a silly thing to mention, but my son looks forward to making waffles in these types of hotels that offer free breakfast, so not having the option was a disappointment
- Guest User
This hotel is very comfortable, the room is large and has its own kitchen; the surrounding environment is especially good. In addition, the breakfast is really conscience. Although many hotels in the United States offer breakfast, they can't eat it. This is a very conscience. In addition, most people may not know that this hotel offers a free shuttle bus service from Monday to Friday, but it takes less than 5 miles.

My family stayed here one night for a travel soccer game. We’d never stayed at a Springhill Suites before, so we weren’t sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms - 2 queen beds and sitting area with desk and couch. Large closet and nice sized bathroom. Mini fridge and microwave. The included breakfast was also better than expected – make your own waffles, scrambled eggs and turkey sausage, a selection of cereals and yogurt, fruit, bagels and muffins. All for cheaper than other hotels in the area! Rooms were clean and lounge area I front where you could eat breakfast was bright and cheery. Definitely will stay here again next time we’re in town for a soccer game.

I saw bugs on my bed just before checkout. I had already slept in that bed. I didn't know how to identify them. I told the front desk immediately. I could not get anyone to call me back or tell me if the bugs were bed bugs. The accounting manager did call me the next day but I was in a meeting and couldn't talk. From that point on I kept leaving messages but couldn't get a reply or a return call. Hotel stay: 12/14/22. 12/20/22: Email reply (after my call stating I would call Corp Headquarters and the NJ Health Dept). The accounting manager gave me Hilton Honors points in lieu of a room refund. Still did not have identity of the bugs. 01/05/23: after more unsuccessful inquiries, I was finally emailed and told me the bugs were identified as bed bugs. This is unacceptable as far as customer communication regarding such a significant problem. It caused me much duress as I was on my way to stay with family. Strongly advise against staying here.

The room was comfortable and accommodating. The staff is a true gift to the weary traveler and made the stay personable and memorable. Easily accessible for folks visiting Princeton and the nearby hospital , the Rt. 1 corridor has all sorts of shopping and dining establishments. The drawback to this hotel is that although other Hilton properties have coffee service for guests in the Lobby, this hotel does not. It does have in room coffee, but not in the lobby…which would be great with that delish cookie!

Nice stay for 2 business nights in August. Convenient location with plenty of parking. Lobby was clean and bright. Front desk staff was friendly and engaging. Room was clean and fresh and didn't have any unusual smells. The breakfast was really good. My only issue was the AC in the room which didn't work effectively. After responding to the manager's check-in email someone came and attended to the AC, but it did not work any better. This is probably the best BonVoy property in the area.

The environment is very good, the surrounding is very quiet, there is a steak house and foodcount nearby for dining, the room is very quiet, clean and tidy, and the service is warm!

I arrived for a two night stay on the 9th. Reception person was very friendly and quick to get us checked in after a long travel day. I originally reserved for the 10th-11th but needed to also reserve a room for the 9th. I mentioned this when I checked in and he said that he would make sure the 2 reservations would be handled as if only 1 reservation were made and would leave a note for morning reception. When my wife and I arrived for breakfast the next morning at around 8:45, I stopped by the desk and asked if we could check out and check in for our Saturday stay, The receptionist said she had already done so and we were all set. I gave her my room keys which she re-swiped and off to breakfast I went. I was a little confused at the breakfast. It was almost like they were still trying to address Covid protocols and employee shortages at the same time. Anyway, there was an employee handing out breakfast sandwiches, I think they were Jimmy Dean brand but really can't remember. They were microwaved but all in all were actually pretty good. There was packaged orange juice, a very good variety of boxed cereals, coffee, tea, breads for toasting and pastries, fresh fruit and yogurt. It was more than enough to get us ready for the day ahead. The room was great with all the items normally found at a Residence Inn property. The only thing I didn't care for was the vanity is set outside the bathroom, so lights go on instead of allowing a few extra minutes of sleep if the vanity and shower were in the same area. The hotel is showing its age and hopefully scheduled for some furniture and rug replacements especially rugs in the hallways which were worn out. I would definitely stay here again should my travels take me to the area. There are many restaurants and take-outs located within a mile of the hotel which is an added convenience, and the Interstate is located a mile away offering connections to anywhere you're heading.

The staff was super friendly and personable, but the hotel was gross. Very dirty room;stains and torn carpet, blood on bathroom door, stains on walls and ceilings, furniture with holes/stains, fridge with missing parts, dirty dishes in dishwasher, broken hair dryer, called front desk immediately and sent person up who wiped off the door with a wet napkin. It was blood!!!Dirty napkins, garbage bag on floor, candy smashed into the carpet. The housekeeping supervisor was appalled at the condition. Blamed it on the maids not understanding English. Breakfast was never ready on time nor was the coffee so we couldn’t reap the benefits of having a free breakfast in the morning. Kids were running around the hotel banging on doors, tossing trash into the elevators, and nothing was done to stop them. We called and complained because it sounded like they were bowling above us the entire time. They should have called security or the police. Multiple people in our group called to complain. We couldn’t sleep. And to top it off, a fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate Monday morning. To pay 1,300 for three nights was a joke. Marriott should be embarrassed by this property.

I always enjoy my stay at the Bridgewater Marriott. Grace Lizardo director of room operations is always very accommodating. I enjoyed my room selection very clean and updated. The breakfast is delicious with me to order omelettes oatmeal, fruit, and other healthy selections. It’s close to many restaurants and close to New York City and other theater district in New Brunswick., New Jersey. The workout room has enough equipment for you to maintain a level of fitness while you are on the road. There’s also a heated pool.

Check-in: Good Room: Fine. Clean Beds: comfortable, though duvet cover didn’t fit so well. Shower: nice. Bathroom: not great sound reduction. Mirrors fogged / hard to get clear. But overall fine. Bar: extremely loud. Corporate event. Prices aren’t cheap and staff was ok, but not great. Other: left an item in the room. Very difficult to engage the hotel staff on this. I had to fill out a form on a third party website and hope someone takes it seriously. Staff try very hard to not engage via phone. Feels potentially representative of how they deal with any exception: push to the side and hope it goes away / someone else deals with it. Overall, hotel is a reasonable place to stay, but I wouldn’t go out of my way or pay extra to stay here vs comparable hotels in the area.

I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member, and as such I do stay at various hotels across Hilton's portfolio. As I live in Central NJ, this was just a Me-cation, just getting away from home over the weekend. I had checked-in online the day before as is customary, and chose my room at that time. Upon arrival and with a digital key, I bypassed the front desk and went right to my room. I found the room to be clean and bright. There was ample room for my belongings, and the bathroom had plenty of space to put down my toiletries. It happened to be unseasonably mild outside for November, so I was able to shut down the HVAC system to avoid any noise from it, since I would need neither heating nor cooling. I did go downstairs to the lobby once to collect the bottled water I was entitled to, and found it crowded with mostly children attending some sort of party. There was water on the floor between the pool and elevator indicating people were tracking pool water throughout the hotel. It also made it slippery by the elevator. Because of the number of people around, one elevator was not enough; most hotels have at least two. Since I had chosen my room far from the Turnpike, vehicle noise was not an issue. However my room was above the main entrance so there was some human noise outside in the evening, but it was not a problem during sleeping hours. No issues with TV or Internet. Sleep quality was as good as can be for an insomniac. I partook of breakfast in the morning, and give that a great rating. Anytime one can get both scrambled eggs AND sausage at the same time at a Hampton inn, it's a plus -- often it's one or the other. I checked out the same way I checked in, via the Hilton app, and my receipt was e-mailed to me. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Came to New Jersey for a wedding. They had a block of rooms at the hotel across the street. We decided to stay at the Hampton Inn, however because we got a cheaper rate than the block and it included breakfast. I'm so glad we decided to stay here! The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. The rooms were modern, spacious, and comfortable. The breakfast was great. It kept me sustained for the greater part of the day. Yes, it is close to the turnpike, but we did not hear any traffic noise while inside. I would recommend staying here!
