Stayed here for the first time in about 20 years. First, take off your shoes at the entrance and change into slippers. Even if you dry the towel in the room, it will not smell like cigarettes. A plastic bottle of water was placed as a service. The baths are alternated between men and women. Both mist sauna and bedrock bath are suspended due to corona measures. It may be unavoidable because the source is originally a cold spring, but the hot water is not hot. There is no sauna, so if you don't take a long bath, you'll feel cold in the winter and it's tough. Food is excellent. There is no menu, but the waiter introduces each item one by one. Also, each dish was elaborate and made me feel very elegant. All the staff members were smiling and it was a pleasant trip. It can't be helped, but the lukewarmness of the bath is a little disappointing. Since the water is boiled anyway, I thought it would be better if either the indoor bath or the open-air bath could be made a little hotter.

There was a hotel entrance as soon as I passed the store in Nagaoka Station. (The lobby is the same 3 floor as the ticket gate) Breakfast was to be taken at a designated cafe rather than a hotel restaurant. It was 7300 yen per night (with breakfast), but there was a feeling of price considering that the breakfast fee was equivalent to 900 ～ 1000 yen.
