Great hotel - although knocked a star on off for air con (or lack of). Pros: Great rooms, friendly staff, access to the beautiful lake, decent breakfast, spa facilities are great (big pool plus a small children’s splash pool). Cons: No air con was a real issue for us and affected our sleep quality. The vendor we booked through (**********) stated the hotel has air con however, it does not. We told reception during our stay that our room was unbearably warm. They said the cooling system works by cooling water in the ceiling and walls. They asked if we had closed the windows and doors as apparently this is important to make the system work - we had. We were told engineering would visit to check our room - I’m not sure if they ever did though. We were given a fan to help but it was very noisy so we ended up sleeping with all the windows and doors open each night. It was still far too warm though and far from ideal. We fed this back when we checked out and were informed that the 3rd floor rooms get particularly hot. Air con would definitely make this hotel immeasurably better!

At EUR500+ plus per night which had to pay we encountered the following unacceptable conditions: - spa: the spa area was completely overcrowded and there was no opportunity to use the facilities other than the pool. People were literally occupying the entire relax area with their towels but it was completely empty (reminded me of all inclusive hotels in Rimini) Sure you can decide to squeeze into the tiny sauna with 5 strangers but again keep in mind the price you have to pay for this. You can get the same experience for 20 dollars in any mid-scale fitness studio. - restaurant: we spend 2 evenings there and at check in they told us that the restaurant we wanted to eat in had no capacity at 8 and the only option would be to go at 6:30. we agreed, only to see a half empty restaurant for the entire evening (we stayed until 9:30). Anyway, we thought maybe people didn’t show up and its not there fault. The next evening we wanted to eat in their second restaurant and this time they said the same. We decided to sit in the bar (which is nice) and just wait until something is free. To our surprise (not) many table were free but they would nevertheless not let us eat there! Just imagine this, you paid what you paid to stay in that hotel and they dont want to serve you food because they want to limit capacity so that they can manage all guests to their satisfaction - but the very same day you have seen this hotels approach to its spa. It was a complete disappointment, there was no one who offered a solution or an appology. This hotel gets 2 stars from us because some of the staff was very friendly, the bar was nice and the beds were extremely comfortable. Dont go there if you want to eat and relax.

Was für ein schöner Ort- es startet gleich mit der netten und offenen Begrüssung durch das Team und endet mit der herzlichen Verabschiedung der Inhaberin Andrea. Ein individuelles Konzept, optisch und qualitativ auf höchstem Niveau- ein Traum weit ab von bekannten Einheits- Hotels- das macht mich happy. Der grosszügige SPA Bereich ist für mich persönlich das Highlight- neben der persönlichen und super netten Betreuung durch das Team. Auch wenn wir zu einen Arbeitsmeeting vor Ort waren- so war es doch wie versprochen- hoch gekommen um runter zu kommen. See you!

We stayed for one night only and we really enjoyed it, mainly because - the location of the hotel is perfect - great views and you can still comfortably reach lake by walking - there is a perfect walking trail around the lake, we loved it - we booked three rooms and had them ready next to each other - the spa is very very good, nice panorama sauna Breakfast could be improved - especially eggs were terrible but otherwise OK Dinner nice restaurant, for us not a good choice - not typical german food, but cooked for us extra from lunch menu and was good, appreciate it! I would come back to this hotel, thank you for a great service 🙃

We enjoyed our stay in a studio unit. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Location was very good. It is in a small village with 4 ski areas nearby ( 30-50 min drive ). For summer activities, you have a lake in the village and a bigger one 30 min away. There seems to be lots of hiking and biking trails. For winter activities, you have cross country and downhill skiing, and sledding. The village is small which is great if you want a small cozy area. But you will need to drive to get to anything more than local stores ( although there are a few nice little coffee shops, restaurants and a few bars ). We enjoyed our stay and took many long walks around the village and onto the next village nextdoor. The only negative was lack of drawers in the unit for our clothes. We left everything in the suitcase on the floor. It worked but not comfortable. Rooms are getting remodeled. We got an old unit ( studio with no kitchen or kitchenet ) but saw a new one for a few minutes. The new ones are much nicer :)
