The service at this hotel was outstanding, I was really made to feel special. The building is beautiful, especially the marble staircase and terrace overlooking the sea. My room was very tastefully and luxuriously decorated, it didn’t have a view, but the price was commensurate for that. Overall the hotel gives an experience of mid tier luxury (not very very top level ala Bulgari hotel, but definitely premium). My biggest complaint is with regards to the gym and spa. The gym is ok, if small, has a squat rack which is great. But there is no locker room or changing area next to it! Any other five star hotel I’ve been to would have a luxurious locker room with a sauna and hot tub etc. Here there wasn’t even a place to change! I had to go back to my room and change into my gym gear the first time I went. Then there is the ‘spa’. Some hot tubs, relaxation areas and a sauna. Very nice, but a €25 EXTRA for guests!! What kind of a luxury hotel charges extra for use of the sauna?! Aside from this, I very much enjoyed my stay and would certainly stay here again.

The hotel is so well appointed. Worthy of its rating as a Leading Hotel of the World. Our suite was a dream with our own private patio. I found the price to be commensurate with the quality of the hotel. The public spaces are stunning. I never seem to be able to fully relax on my vacations but I was truly able to unwind. The pool is fabulous. And the service excellent. In fact all the employees were exemplary. I most enjoyed our interactions with the cleaning staff. They were very personable and we shared a few good laughs. The location is perfect. You can walk everywhere. The beach is just out the pool gate.

The English at the front desk is not particularly good. The buffet dinner is more cost-effective than the surrounding Italian restaurants. The daughter is 15 years old and counts as a child. In the hotel you can see the Mediterranean Sea. The hotel pool is very iced. It is recommended to put some towels next to the hotel. The night view around the hotel is beautiful, and there is a very meaningful museum.

The facilities are generally the same, the relatively old hotel, the service staff is relatively small, but there is a large balcony, can look at the sea, not bad, the room is as small as most hotels in Europe, no surprises and no disappointment.

Nice hotqel in good location, close to the railway station from Malaga Airport which is a no brainer of a way to get to Fuengirola. Our room was of good size with a massive comfortable bed and air-conditioning, two things which let it down was the dated bathroom with a shower in a bath which was a challenge getting in and out, also the balcony, even though it had a really good sea view, once you sat down it had a solid wall around it so you had no view at all other than the walls. Staff very obliging and nice bar area on the ground floor, if you like a pool holiday the pool area is very small with limited sun beds.

Lovely hotel. Bedrooms and communal areas were bright, airy and well decorated. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Hotel was well positioned on the Paseo Maritimo and close to Los Boliches, a few minutes from the station (where you can get a train straight into the airport). Food was good (perhaps there could have been a wider selection of mains).

We really enjoyed the location of the hotel on the hill above the old town, next to the castle. It is a steep walk down/up the path and it takes about 15 mins but we enjoyed the challenge a few times - the other times (when we’d eaten too much at dinner), we got a taxi back up for about €7! The number 35 bus also stops at the hotel. The path is lit at night so doable then too. There’s plenty of parking at the hotel and this is free. Our room was nice - comfortable and spacious with a sun-trap balcony with chairs and sun loungers. The bathroom is a bit dated in places, but well maintained and clean. Breakfast was good - the buffet had a decent amount of choice, plus there was a small menu of hot items.

The hotel is on a hill with a superb view, next to a viewing platform and a Moorish castle converted from an ancient Roman fortress. Free parking, breakfast is small but exquisite. Basically, the hotel can not go down the mountain to play, the fly in the ointment is that there is no free water, it is best to buy first in the mountains, of course, if you have plenty of time, you can take a walk to the mountain to buy. In short, I think the hotel is great. The mountain is the expensive hotel.

The location is nice. The room was spacious and the bathroom was also pleasant. The parking garage is very small and it was a shame that the bar and restaurant were closed.

This place has nothing unique other than under the direct flight path of Malaga Airport. Has hardly anything in common with other venues in the Parador chain. Located on a golf course with ample free parking. Rooms are tired and badly insulated from noises including those from neighbours. Place was crowded during the weekend and breakfast buffet was poorly managed.

Fantastic hotel and lovely course ideally situated near to Davis Cup tennis and easily accessible to centre of Málaga. Coukdnt have wanted for anything else. We will be back next year for the golf and tennis

My husband and I came to Malaga for a week, and chose Room Mate Valeria after being won over by the pictures of the brightly coloured rooms and good reviews, we made the best choice! Our room was perfect! The bed was sooo comfy, we had a wonderful little outside balcony to take in the lovely view and the shower and facilities in the room were great. Service when we arrived was amazing the staff are really friendly and accommodating, late check out was a lovely bonus, as is their facility to provide beach towels at no extra cost. We had breakfast twice at the hotel, it was ok for me but my husband who is vegetarian had a limited choice of food to choose from so we decided to eat out after. The other main facility the rooftop bar/swimming pool was nice. We never used the swimming pool and I was quite surprised at how small it was (I think the hotel might have been better off not having a pool and just having a roof top and sun lounging area) but the roof top area was always popular and enjoyable. It’s nice that priority is given to hotel guests too. If you don’t want to go to a nightclub but want a late night drink the rooftop is lovely. A nice little touch to an already lovely hotel. Would highly recommend this place.

It’s not often I can’t find even the smallest fault with a hotel but this is one of those rare finds where serious thought has gone into room design. Comfort is a priority, bed and pillows divine, beautiful view from the balcony, mini bar and even a light that illuminated when you open the wardrobe. The bathroom was quite small but easily the best shower in any hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The roof top bar is amazing, comfy sunbeds and a cold mini pool to cool off. The views are spectacular. We didn’t have breakfast so I can’t comment but everything else was perfect. Ps please can we have a box of tissues in the room? I know I’m being ultra picky but…..!!!

Reviews From Real Travelers
Stayed in this hotel after for one night prior to an early morning flight. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff on checkin who made everything easy, and immediately sorted out our room keys when they didn’t work. The room we had was small albeit excellent and clean, and bed was very comfortable - however the best thing about the room we had was the huge terrace complete with two sun loungers - we didn’t arrive till quite late on in the evening and had to leave early the next morning so it’s a shame that we didn’t get to make use of this terrace but if staying for a few days this would have been absolutely amazing. There are a few large hotels across the road which had loud nighttime entertainment on which was completely blocked out by good soundproofing. There is a supermarket next door and the beach was only a five minute walk away. If we were staying longer, I’d only have a couple of minor issues - firstly being the shower; at 6ft 1” I found it quite cramped and there was no shower door (only a half screen) which meant water went everywhere, and a huge metal towel rail in the shower area which I had to keep ducking to avoid banging my head on; and secondly - I could hear the people in the room next door quite clearly due to the connecting door between the rooms, not a huge issue but I felt bad at them having to hear our alarms going off at 3am so that we could get up for our flight. Did not have breakfast or use the pool area so can’t comment on them. Overall this was a lovely place to stay and if returning I’d definitely be asking for that same room again!

What a nice hotel and friendly staff. Just a street away from the beach. All nice new modern rooms. Carlos at the front desk was very helpful when we needed directions and recommendations to nice places to eat. A young lad in the bar/ restaraunt was very nice to talk to. Pool is a bit on the smaller side but never had a problem getting a sun lounger or it being too busy. Breakfast had lots of selection but no bacon or sausage, no problem for me but just letting others know. Will definatly stay again.
