The hotel is located in the city center, and it is very convenient to go to various attractions or take buses and ferries. It is only a few minutes' walk away. The hotel room is very large, and slippers and toiletries are provided. The decoration is very good, and the service is also very good! The bed is turned down every day, and bottled water and chocolates are delivered. The breakfast is especially rich, and a different menu is provided every day, which is much better than the buffet breakfast!

Great hotel & location, with a few excellent dining options. Friendly staff and spacious rooms. We stayed 3 days - although on our first day we couldn’t use the rooftop sun lounging area/bar and pool due to a private function which was a shame as we wanted to relax and use the hotel facilities having travelled all morning. The hotel is located right in the centre which meant it can be noisy outside if you have a room at the front and church Bells ring for hours on a Sunday morning from before 7am. Otherwise the perfect stay.

Good location, two main bus stops nearby, a lot of bars and restaurants and 24/7 shops and clubs. Good place for partying but a bit noisy because of that. During off season we could still hear music and laughter from outside. Hotel room very spacious and clean, it was clearly renovated recently. Terrible view, window to window with other rooms so couldn’t really open it due to privacy reasons. British style breakfast, tasty but repetitive. Overall very good place if you’re young and want to try out the lively part of Malta’s city life.

My experience at the Onyx Hotel was a positive one the staff members are very helpful, professional and efficient. They upgraded me to a Digital Nomad room , the room was spacious, neat and the view from the room was very nice. They have a vending machine with snacks and drinks. The hotel is located in a prime location so it's close to the mall and cafes, shops and cafes. I would like to mention that Hassan and Mohammed were very helpful and professional they are the front desk staff. A must recommendation hotel.

I strongly don't recommend people who drive to stay here. The hotel has no parking space, and the cooperative parking lot is more than 15 minutes' walk away. The hotel uses pictures and names to make itself look like a high-end hotel, but it is actually very ordinary. The staff's ability to handle problems is also average. When I called in advance to inquire about parking before booking, I didn't mention that the parking lot is far from the hotel, nor did I mention that there is an additional charge.

Overall I would recommend it, though there were elements of gasliging when someone entered my room and used some anti-asthmatic enhailer that bothered me a lot when I was back to my room. The hotel management accommodated my complain and changed the room.

The neighborhood is super well located and dynamic, close to everything!
The roof top, swimming pool and bar are great, but the view is a little spoiled by the buildings being built around.
The staff is very welcoming and responds quickly to any request.
Pay attention to breakfast times, if you are unfortunate enough to show up at 10:01 a.m., you will not be entitled to any coffee...
The rooms are comfortable, equipped with a small individual terrace, very practical, but we did not have hot water pressure in the shower, which is a shame.
The neighborhood is nice
And we never had a problem parking for free around the hotel during our entire stay.

The hotel's restaurant was ranked first in Malta. The environment was good and the food was very good. It was eaten for two consecutive meals. The price per capita was RMB 150-200, which was very cost-effective. In particular, the service staff should greatly appreciate that a friend’s big suitcase was lost when he flew over. The airport and the airlines were all perfunctory and perfunctory. After reaching the hotel, they turned to the front desk for ANA for help, giving us more than we imagined, every half hour. Help us to check online, print, call, etc., moved! Highly recommend this hotel, Malta is also very beautiful, we will come again!

A hotel with a history of more than 500 years, there are only 21 rooms in total. The service can be said to be very good. When I applied for a double bed, he turned the sofa below into a small bed. The towel rack in the bathroom is hot. This is a good way to hang a bathing suit. There is also a swimming pool to take pictures when no one meets. The scenery of the terrace pool is absolutely invincible. We have to go up every night to see it. There are good restaurants nearby and we walk down the bridge hole for a few minutes.

A very typical Roland Chateaux Hotel, located in the ancient city of Mdina. The whole building has a history of 300 years. It took a lot of thought to renovate and design it, and collected a lot of art works. The whole hotel is antique and full of artistic atmosphere.
There are only 18 rooms in total, and each one is different. We chose a duplex suite, which is a bit inconvenient to go up and down the stairs, but fortunately the bathroom and bed are on the first floor. It can be said that this is an excellent choice for in-depth experience of the affluent life in ancient times.
Because it is in the ancient city, it is very convenient to visit. When you are tired, you can go back to the hotel to rest, which is very convenient.
The breakfast variety is very rich and the quality is excellent. It is a meal ordering system, but it is all free. There are also paid items, which is unnecessary. We chose to dine outdoors, which feels very good. The drinks in the mini bar in the room are free and replenished very promptly.
The rooftop restaurant is said to be a Michelin. On the first day of check-in, the front desk asked if I needed to book dinner. It is said to be very popular, but I didn't have time to try it.
The service staff is very enthusiastic and considerate, and they are responsive.
In short, it is a very good and high-quality hotel.

Almost perfect
My wife and I stayed for three nights this summer. This small hotel (just eighteen rooms), set in an old palace within the city walls of Mdina, is incredibly beautiful, the views from the rooms (pick one with a panoramic view, and don’t choose duplex if you can’t manage stairs) are superb, and the staff are wonderfully helpful and attentive.
The only disappointment for me was that after all the reviews, I was looking forward to treating my wife to a birthday meal at the hotel’s Michelin starred restaurant, but when we arrived, we learned this restaurant was fully booked for and indeed beyond our stay. The helpful staff booked us into local restaurants as an alternative, but it was naturally not quite the same.
Unless the hotel starts emailing people upon booking asking if they want to make reservations for their best restaurant (I imagine most guests will want them), I suggest you make your booking for this restaurant when you book your room. We will next time, and we will definitely be back.
Other than that, a quite wonderful stay, and I would like to thank all the staff and management for making it so. Highly recommended.
