Reviews From Real Travelers
Would we visit again? Unequivocally, yes. The hillside location affords spectacular views across St Aubin’s Bay; however, unless you have your own means of transport, once you get there, options to venture out are very limited. There is a steep flight of steps that lead to the main road, but there are few amenities in the immediate vicinity. We were greeted by very friendly front of house staff. Access to the rooms was reminiscent of the gangways on a cruise ship and the room balconies too. However, the south-westerly facing rooms got very hot and stuffy and that was at only 23C! Cannot imagine how 35C would have been. We noticed that so many bedroom doors were wedged open with a variety of items (trainers) to allow a through-draft. Summers are only going to get warmer. We were disappointed with the Indigo Restaurant, of which we were expecting great things - particularly given that you have to make a reservation for a table. We opted for the daily menu (2 courses for £25) but very surprised at the very small portions. The views, however, are spectacular. The cocktails are just short of £10 each. We preferred to eat in the Indigo Terrace for the remainder of our stay and would thoroughly recommend the steak sandwich. We found the staff more attentive, and the service appeared to be more efficient. They serve great hot and cold food until 8.30pm.

We’ve just returned from a weeklong stay at the Cristina, we’ve had a fabulous week, the hotel is lovely all the staff we encountered were knowledgeable and helpful, our balcony room was well equipped and the view was fabulous especially as it was the Jersey Air Show while we were there which was wonderful to watch from the Hotel, as other posters have mentioned access by car is a little tricky, but we quickly worked out where to go to turn round and make access easier, tip for anyone with a 3rd floor room, park on the upper level car park and there is a back door access which cuts out some of the hotel steps and makes getting suitcases into the car easier

The Atlantic Hotel is absolutely a first class property, worthy of its excellent reputation. I had a great stay at the hotel, including through Storm Ciarán. First and foremost, the staff at The Atlantic are really excellent. I can't think of a hotel I've stayed at where the staff have been so consistently hospitable, warm and personable. Several deserve to be mentioned by name. Nathan is the wonderful concierge - he is warm, eager to assist guests and genuinely interested to give great hints and tips and ensure each guest has a great stay. Equally Sherman the restaurant manager was a credit to the hotel. He greeted me by name each time I saw him and demonstrated the highest levels of professionalism, care and genuine warmth. I hope he's still there next time I return! Equally Gregg in the restaurant, Alex, the assistant sommelier, Patrick, Rui, the front desk team - all were great. It's a real credit to the hotel's leadership that they are attracting, training and retaining such excellent staff. That really shown through in the aftermath of Storm Ciarán. I knew that the staff were committed to taking care of us, ensuring the safety and comfort of guests. The hotel itself is a true classic. It's not the most contemporary - nor should it be. It has personality, warmth and is genuinely comfortable. Cleanliness is excellent and maintenance is good. Some areas perhaps are in need of an update, but nothing critical. I liked that the hotel didn't feel forced or that it was trying to be something it's not. I think the building itself has an elegance and presence. I really enjoyed my room. I would DEFINITELY recommend the sea-view. I hesitated and shouldn't have. It makes a huge difference. The view is exceptional and I loved the little Juliette balcony. The furniture is mixed, but thoughtfully so. The beds great and a delight to stay in a hotel that doesn't have a hugely over-heavy duvet. The indoor pool was pleasant and I appreciated the sauna too. Breakfast at the hotel is again first class. I definitely enjoy having hot food prepared to order. Plus a good quality, well curated buffet too. Food in the hotel generally is very good quality, but perhaps a little over complex. I counted five available menus for evening meal across the restaurant and bar / lounge. It's nice to have choice and variety - but that felt a little much. A small point, but amidst the five menus - the dessert options were limited and just not quite right. The small choice were all fine dining style - and just a little fussy. It's great to have a couple of innovative options but the menu was missing options that were perhaps just more classic and accessible. I think the pastry chef could perhaps also add to the afternoon menu some fresh cakes or home made biscuits to accompany a cup of tea in the afternoon. I also think that the music in the lobby and restaurant must drive the staff slightly crazy! A little variety would be good. Thos

Super-located hotel, very beautiful and cozy furnished. Eating and wines simply enchanting. I really had the feeling that every guest was individually and very well cared. Just a place to feel comfortable around. It didn't miss anything. My holiday on this beautiful island was not too a success for the Atlantic Hotel and all its staff.

The location was fantastic with views over the Marina and the little island with the Fort. The breakfast was good and the customer service was wonderful, we got our room upgraded due to an check in error made causing a delay. We were very happy with the upgraded room. The only thing that could be improved was the Spa treatments as there was only 1 person that did the massage and he was booked out during our weekend trip. More spa treatments should be made available with more than 1 staff member. Also the lady who did nails, manicure/pedicures was also not available during the weekend.

Great location for visiting St Helier. Shops and restaurants just a short walk away. Great views from our room window overlooking the harbour and Elizabeth Castle. The hotel staff were really helpful, nothing was too much trouble. First class Breakfast to set you up for the day.
