Top 10 Place Stanislas Hotels

We stopped over at Nancy on our way back from the Ryder Cup and stopped at Hotel d'Haussonville. The Hotel in itself is beautiful with lovely furnish rooms. The staff were friendly, helpful and polite. location was ideal to visit Nancy which in itself was beautiful and very much what you expect from a traditional french town. Breakfast was excellent, overall cannot fault the hotel.

This hotel was booked for a night during a road trip in Europe. Unbeknown to us the hotel has a sound and light show at 10:30PM. We were not notified about this beforehand. It was not until we checked in that the receptionist informed us that they had a sound and light show every night. This sound and light show woke up our whole family, including our 2 year old son. If we had known that they had a sound and light show late at night we would have NOT booked this hotel. How a business that is meant to accommodate guests to sleep and relax has a sound and light show that shakes the building is beyond me. When checking out, we informed our disbelief regarding this issue to the reception. No sorrys, no discounts, no nothing. TLDR; Don't book this hotel.

Clean and tidy, the outdoor autumn color is strong, there are few people, the early morning outdoor walk, the air is fresh and comfortable, the deepest memory when writing travel notes after going home, there is a chance to go

The surrounding environment is good, very close to the city center and convenient parking. Booked a triple room, the room is quite large, there is a simple division in the middle, suitable for a family of three.

Close to the train station. Room are large, look modern and the bedding is comfortable. Good breakfast (if you're more into a savoury breakfast, your choices will be more limited though). Service was ok but we had to repeat requests. (I.e. the toilet brush was missing and we had to ask twice for it ....).

Excellent recent 2 night stay with family. Spotless rooms, very quiet, fabulous amenities. Good air conditioning. Loved the basement swimming pool, steam room and sauna. Enjoyed the Ground Floor bar (unfortunately weather not good enough to enjoy the rooftop bar). Central.

Positive: Room good value for money. (Clean and comfortable) Negative: Very low-end frozen meals reheated on site. . Poor communication, staff lack experience and training. Parking: The hotel does not have a parking lot and this is not indicated anywhere when booking. When you ask at the reception where you can park, the person does not know and sends you to the street. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel.
