Very friendly reception, clean and new room with balcony. We had booked online and also booked the four-way menu together with wine accompanying. To the great menu, which was a poem for both the eye and the gaume, we were allowed to enjoy high quality wines from regional winemakers, which were declared accordingly each. In addition, the excellent service is provided by the charming Fadime. At breakfast you can choose from a small buffet; egg food is prepared on request - also here very nice service. The house is a little away from the main street, very quiet and has enough parking spaces. We will come back to get us disgusted!

They still exist. Those family run, top quality, with love to detail, proud of their work places. Engel in Sasbachwalden is one of those places. It is my 2nd time here. Despite being here for business, I enjoyed the local Black Forest atmosphere. Sasbachwalden and the Hotel Engel are perfectly located at the “entrance” to the amazing Black Forest. I guess the hotel has around 20 rooms, a fab restaurant and a breakfast that is so far ahead in quality of what you get in those big hotel boxes. The owner is the chef, was checking us in and suggested to stay for dinner. What a great choice. Top quality, nice wines and amazing service. The rooms are nice, some have balcony’s and they are designed with the traveler in mind. Wish I could give 10 points, Engel would deserve it. I will be back next week, for staying and entertaining customers. Already looking forward to it.

We stayed there one night in the weekend, late arrival at 22H that didn't pose any problem. A small bottle of gaseous water was available. A boiler and lyophilized coffee would have been a more. The family rooms were spacious, clean, the overlapped beds sympathetic for children (child room separate, very convenient).
