I was pleasantly surprised at our accommodation here. We booked for a day-stay between our cruise and our late evening flight out of Rio. Service was excellent, accommodation likewise. I could find nothing negative about this place and would recommend it without hesitation.
- supersatisfied
The hotel is at T1, the international arrival is generally at T2, there is a shuttle bus between the terminals, but it can only go by the middle of the night, about 10 minutes, the shuttle bus is a white car with the name of the hotel.

Hotel well located for those in Rio de Janeiro on business, with easy access to the central area and Niterói. Very well decorated, beautiful environment and the rooms are large and in good spirits. The restaurant has great options, is very varied, and the food is very tasty. Breakfast, even with the protocols against the coronavirus, is well served, varied and very tasty. The best of all was the service, the whole staff very helpful and attentive.

Very pleasant hotel to stay in. All the staffs are very friendly and always there to help. Language is an issue being an English speaking but all the staffs are willing to try their best to help. Stay here for 3nights before transfer to Macae. Overall it was a very good and pleasant stay. Room are well clean.

We live near Rio, if we are going out for a night in Rio or taking Friends out this is where we stay! We book two rooms, One for us one for the nanny and children ! Spend the day by the beautiful pool, then walk the 5 minutes to the centre of Lapa in the evening! Its a fairly ”adult” hotel, but its suits us because of the location and the babies love the pool ! I would recommend staying here one or two nights to experience the nightlife, Spanish steps and the local vibe ! Breakfast is good but the ”oasis” factor is the big deal ! Downsides, checkin can be slow, but they promise me they are working on that, and for the price which is an absolute bargain most of the time makes this a no brainer ! The rooms by the pool are perfect and worth the little extra, the staff are great! I stay here once a month and cant recommend it highly enough ! Of course you get what you pay for, there is no parking, and it can get busy, but as someone who stays in hotels a lot, I recommend this as literally an oasis in the centre of the party district ! And its great value for money !

This was my second stay at this lovely classic hotel. This time I booked a room in the old part of the hotel. It’s was spacious with lovely views of the pool area. I would suggest you book an upstairs room as you have more privacy and can leave your windows open. The WiFi was super fast and the room was cleaned really well each day. The main reason for staying again at this hotel is to spend time relaxing at the beautiful pool area. There were over 50 loungers with cushions and a great pool bar. Pool towels are available. The breakfast is really good, with a chef making eggs to your choice. My only complaints would be the extra charges they tried to charge me for tips. When I refused they told me it was optional. I suggest the hotel stop this policy as it causes unhappy guests. I have never seen the large bar open this after 2 stays at the hotel. I would return to this hidden gem as it has old world charms.

I actually had 2 comfortable nights at this hotel but their website just kept on charging my credit card over and over. Thankfully, it showed up on my phone, so I was able to inform the staff and show them the receipt at the time. A very helpful front receptionist said he would contact the finance department and that when I checked out early the next morning' it would all have been rectified. When I went to reception, no one could help and I was told to wait for the manager who would be on duty after my flight left..... So far, no response from this hotel and no money back.I've contacted my credit card provider and so I now have to battle to get my money back. My experience of checking in was in I’m afraid to say, truly awful. I arrived at 5am and the older gentleman checking me in was ignorant. Apparently, he was the ‘English speaker’ on duty and he completely ignored me when I asked a question. I received no information whatsoever about breakfast times, where facilities in the hotel were and he didn’t even have the good manners to look up at me when I checked in, he just opened his hand for my passport. He started huffing and getting obviously irritated when I asked if it were possible to arrange a later breakfast as I wouldn’t be getting to bed u TIL 6am, despite having to pay for the hotel for the night before. The guy actually just ignored me until I asked him directly and he didn’t even look up and said ‘no’ in a really annoyed manner. Great customer service, thanks! Thankfully, when I had need to speak to reception staff during the day, this was a much better experience. I spoke to a young woman and on another occasion a young uni man who were friendly and helpful, so much so, I decided to stay again on my return trip the following week. That was up until they kept charging my credit card, firstly through the own hotels website that said the transaction failed but charged the credit card and then again when duplicate monies had been charged by the hotel. Mistakes happen. It it how quickly and satisfactorily they are sorted that makes the difference between staying there again and avoiding it. Would I recommend staying here? Yes, breakfast is good and the hotel was clean and quiet on the 19th floor. It is dated and could do with updating but it is not bad value when they don’t empty your bank account! Just pay in cash if you’re staying there and avoid that nasty old man on reception who works at night.

I must admit, after staying in 4 and 5 star hotels for two weeks, I was really skeptical when the airline sent us to the Windsor Guanabara due to a flight delay. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, comfortable and well equipped—hair dryers, refrigerator, make up mirror, comfortable bed, large tub/shower with good water pressure. This was the first hotel in Brazil where the outlets accommodated our plugs. The dinner and breakfast buffets were plentiful and well stocked. Not luxurious, but still offering lots of choices. Although only the reception desk spoke good English, everyone else was kind and helpful and make themselves understood. You could tell they cared about your comfort and experience. You can tell this hotel has faded glory, as another reviewer wrote, but I gave it 4 stars because our expectations were exceeded. At a fraction of the price of our last few stays, this was a surprisingly pleasant experience.

The hotel has a good structure. Near the pharmacy, laundry, conveniences. I found the restaurant as the highest point. Good price and excellent food quality. Wonderful swimming pool. Good game room. Very beautiful view of the cover. The weak point is the parking, a little dark, nor a pleasant smell, difficult to get in and out.

Awful experience. The hotel lost power for over an hour during my one-night stay. They claimed they would not issue a refund because they had offered me the option to check out (they didn’t) and that I had used the pool (I had not). I was unable to go to sleep or leave my room while the power was out. In addition, the hotel claims to be close to GIG airport but it took over an hour to get there. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, for more reasons than one.

I found Ibis New America by chance on Google trying to find some place in Rio de Janeiro to go to Rock In Rio. I booked the time for the best value. I didn't think it would be such a perfect location for the event! Besides being a meeting point, the site's infrastructure is excellent, offered a coffee with numerous delicious options and completely responded to what we needed. I would like to congratulate especially the receptionist Lucas who has done a wonderful service and has done everything possible to keep us from losing the transport!

I was looking for a place to hold a business event. The Ibis Hotel was perfect. The events team is super attentive, the coffee break had everything we were specting. The room only had space for 50 people, which for larger events can be a problem. But it fullfield my needs at the time. I highly recommend the Nova America Ibis for business events. Excellent reception and everything went exactly how we planend. Special thanks to Thais Melo.

Only breakfast leaves to be desired; The coffee staff is very careless , not paying attention to restore what will end ... - Then they end up the cuttings, and they will take a long rest. Note: You have to ask - finish sugar, sweet, and you have to stay asking where it is; -Small and without enough table, and when someone lifts up, nobody will take off and clean the table, you have to call someone. Positive Points: -The crew are very kind and helpful and I really liked them. -The breakfast is normal. Negative Points: - The flash tank in the bathroom had a problem in the room and many times I asked them to fix it. - No drinking water in the room. - AC in the room was making a lot of noises which was old model. - There was no kettle in the room. - This hotel is too far from the city center and is not in good neighborhood and is not safe to be outside at late night.
