Dispiace dover lasciare una recensione negativa perché il personale dell’albergo è molto gentile e disponibile e fa veramente di tutto per sopperire alle carenze della struttura. Purtroppo però queste carenze sono indiscutibili e molto significative e sono emerse chiaramente durante una permanenza di otto notti in una camera Master dal 5 al 13 agosto. Per cominciare è incomprensibile come questo albergo possa essere catalogato come un quattro stelle. La struttura è vecchia - sembra di fare un tuffo negli anni 70/80 al suo interno - e in disperato bisogno di rinnovamento. La nostra residenza Master era molto spaziosa e con molti armadi e altri mobili per riporre la nostra roba ma tutti molto datati e di modesta fattura. La camera non aveva alcuna dotazione ormai comune in alberghi di questa categoria in Italia e all’estero. Solo un asciugacapelli e una vecchia cassaforte con chiave meccanica, pesante e ingombrante. Niente accappatoi o pantofole. Asciugamani di scarsa qualità. Addirittura neanche i fazzoletti di carta ubiqui in tutti gli alberghi del mondo. Appena arrivati abbiamo chiesto se fosse possibile avere asse e ferro da stiro ma la risposta è stata negativa perché “dei clienti precedenti avevano rotto il ferro e per motivi di sicurezza l’albergo non lo forniva più”. Sempre poco dopo essere arrivati abbiamo scoperto che i frutti di tutte le nostre prese elettriche erano rovinati e andavano sostituiti. Il lavoro è stato fatto rapidamente e bene ma questo vuol dire che erano vecchi e nessuno li aveva controllati prima del nostro arrivo. L’ascensore è unico, molto piccolo, e usato sia dai clienti che dal personale di servizio e da una squadra di operai che sta facendo dei lavori in alcune zone dell’albergo. Il risultato sono lunghe attese e, spesso, la decisione di prendere le scale, anche con i bagagli, invece di aspettare l’ascensore. Le stanze non hanno alcuna dotazione “digitale” moderna. In aggiunta alla cassaforte con chiave meccanica e senza codice, i condizionatori sono antiquati e analogici, lo stesso vale per le chiavi di accesso alla stanza. Non esiste un pulsante per il “do not disturb”. La colazione, inclusa nel prezzo della stanza, è veramente modesta, di quelle con le vaschette di plastica con la Nutella e la marmellata per intenderci. I cornetti, la frutta fresca e qualche torta non erano male ma non c’era nessuna opzione sana (latti non vaccini, granola, muesli, ecc.) come ormai comune in moltissimi alberghi. E, per finire, la carenza più grave, almeno per noi che eravamo a Taranto anche per lavorare in smart working, è una Wi-Fi che funziona bene praticamente solo nella lobby dell’albergo e malissimo nelle stanze. Alla fine abbiamo deciso di restare al Daniela per l’intera durata della nostra prenotazione invece di cambiare albergo, senza pagare penalità come avevamo concordato con la gentilissima direttrice dell’albergo, perché non ci andava di rifare i bagagli e traslocare e ci siamo arrangiati usando i nostri telefoni p

Stayed here for business for a couple of nights as part of a large group. It was not a great hotel and a lot of our group were unhappy with this property. It's a medium rise on the waterfront - the waterfront here is a working container port and what seems to be anItalian Navy port. Not what you generally think of when you say waterfront. The hotel checking was fine and the staff were nice. However...... Major renovations going on / one elevator working out of 2 and sometimes that one was an issue / really lacklustre breakfast options / swimming pool unusable. I can see why they're renovating - everything about this hotel seems old and dated - but you're not in a resort / holiday area. The room was an ok size, the wi-fi worked, but a bit slow. The room could be made nice and dark (good curtains) and the view of the bay was still a nice water view. There's many other old looking hotels all around this area and I don't thin this is the only one in this state of repair. There is a great Pizza place right across the road. The Old Town of Taranto is a 20min walk away and it's well worth is with great photo ops and plenty of bars / restaurants that seems to all be reasonably priced. Maybe this hotel will be OK when they finish renovations, but it's not in a very touristy area.

The hotel is very small and very pleasant. Finished in details and quite comfortable. Distributed into two facilities at the end of the small square that marks the entrance to old Taranto. The hotel has a small but unfit rooms, air conditioning, comfortable beds and a functional bathroom. Breakfast is served on a terrace with a wonderful sea view. The historic center of Taranto and shopping streets are reached in about 15 minutes. Parking is possible on the side of the underground square and in a neighbouring area.

It is a 4-star hotel, located in the desolate historic center of Taranto. Desolate because it is all abandoned, an open house every 10 !! The hotel is beautiful, and the staff is very kind, everyone !! Breakfast, having only 14 rooms in the hotel, it is clear that it cannot be made of only fresh ingredients, such as just made cakes, etc, in fact, besides the cornets, all the rest are brandy merendys, Even fruit juice is in single-dose version !!! What is to say, a applause to the staff, sin for almost complete abandonment of the place.
