We stayed at the Karol V for 4 nights and we were very impressed with the location, staff and general quality of the hotel. It was easy to find and parking is available. Our room was in the new Roman wing and was light, airy, quiet and very comfortable. We had drinks in the beautiful gardens and dinner in the Bistro, both delightful. The location is perfect for exploring the old town on foot and we didn’t need the car at all. We visited Amsterdam for the day by train which was interesting but very busy. We were glad to return to the tranquility of the Karol V and Utrecht.

Overall a nice hotel good location but yesterday we tried to have dinner in the Bistro at 6.30. It was empty but we were told it was fully booked. We went into town and had a pleasant meal by the canal. We came back at 7,45. There were four tables being served outside and it was empty inside. How bizarre. Strange that a 5 star hotel doesn’t want to sell food

It was a nice hotel that I would like to visit Utrecht again to stay at this hotel.
It's about 15 minutes walk from Utrecht Central Station, but I didn't personally care about that point because the city itself is easy to walk. (Utrecht attractions are also within walking distance)
The room was in the shape of a maisonette and had a deep bathtub. I felt the hotel's commitment to the interior and amenities.
Fresh fruit was prepared and breakfast was simple, but it was very delicious.
And above all, the hotel staff was very kind.
Also, when I visit Utrecht, I would like to stay at ZIES.

Fantastic helpful staff! Fun room with large balcony was better than we imagined. Light and bright. Quiet, comfortable, restful. Great bathroom with tub and large shower. Fruit in the room daily. Situated not far from a train station where we rented bikes. Market and restaurants just steps from the small hotel. Short walk to center of town with plenty of shops along the way. We dined at the hotel. Small portions and wine pours but delicious with a great waitstaff! Would return to this hotel in a heartbeat.

Gefallen: Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet. Das Hotel ist sehr ruhig gelegen und macht einen sehr gepflegten Gesamteindruck. Es wirkt alles sehr neu. Unser Zimmer war modern und weitgehend zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Es gibt ausreichend viel Personal. Die Tiefgarage, die gleichzeitig Fahrradgarage ist, ist sehr praktisch, allerdings fehlen Lademöglichkeiten für Ebikes. Nicht gefallen: Das Personal spricht und versteht kein Wort deutsch. Man sollte zumindest genug Niederländisch oder Englisch sprechen. Für diese Hotelkategorie wirkte die Kleidung der Kellner ungepflegt. Die Küche ist gerade mal ok. Angeschlagene Glaskaraffen passen ebenso nicht ins Bild. Die Priorität des Hotels liegt ganz klar bei Seminarveranstaltungen, was dazu führt, dass sogar die für das Frühstück genutzten Räumlichkeiten teilweise wegen einer Veranstaltung wegfallen. Völlig unpraktisch ist die vollständige Bekiesung aller Lauf- bzw. Gehflächen im Außenbereich. Damenschuhe mit Absätzen sind auf diesem Untergrund eher schlecht geeignet. Im Zimmer würde ich mir Aufhängemöglichkeiten für Hand- und/oder Badetücher wünschen.

Prachtige accomodatie, in de Lente met al het groen, de tuin en de mooie omgeving van de Vecht een nog mooier plaatje zijn. Erg vriendelijk personeel, mooie grote moderne kamers van alle gemakken voorzien. Het heerlijke diner en ontbijt wordt geserveerd in een sfeervolle tuinkamer/serre. Het Hotel onderscheidt zich door de verzorgde uitstraling en overal prachtige boeketten of vaasjes met verse bloemen. 1 opmerking, de entree heeft een hoge trap en heeft letterlijk en figuurlijk daardoor een hoge drempel. Op de parkeerplaats kijk je twijfelend rond waar is hier de ingang. Bij de hoofdentree zou ik iets duidelijker aangeven dat je hier van harte welkom bent. Misschien door middel van een mooie lantaarn, plant, bord? Daar hebben jullie vast wel een leuk idee voor. Het Hotel is een absolute aanrader!
