the most expensive, but least welcoming place of the stay in Scotland. The sea view room had a glimpse in the distance of water through a small window. The rooms adequate size, though in no way spacious as one would expect for the premium being paid. The rooms themselves were done up to the proverbial nines with modern decor, but that does not make up for an extremely small bathroom or lack of storage. There were adequate power points for charging your devices, including ones adjacent to a desk. The WiFi signal was Ok throughout, but speed seemed to be poor most of the time. The selection of food for breakfast was adequate, but the quality and preparation was lacking. How can you make cold eggs, burnt and cold toast, undercooked or other burnt or overcooked items. Oh, the fruit salad for breakfast ended up being almost all watermelon with half a grape and a few slices of apple. This was extremely poor and the biggest let down for the most expensive place.

The location is a bit off. But the service is very good and the house is very unique. It's still worth a trip to stay.

Very comfortable 2-night stay. Beautiful decor. Very helpful staff. Hotel is tucked away on a hill above the city center, so quiet. We were on the second floor in a nicely appointed room. Had plenty of space. Also very quiet. Bed very comfortable.

This is a typical country hotel that is not very updated. The beds are very small along with the room. There is one little heater on the wall but even with it off the room was very hot. The tub is narrow and very slippery so you definitely need to use the rubber mat. The food at dinner was delicious. While the breakfast was very basic...the usual Scottish buffet breakfast that did not have any fresh fruit. At dinner they offered a small sio of whiskey to try. I pored it on my ice cream and that was delicious.

The hotel is close to the sea, the location is very good, the environment is beautiful ~ breakfast is a traditional English-style breakfast, okay... parking lot, gas station, timeout is next to it, very convenient
