The location was superb, right in the centre of the town yet also quiet for sleeping after 11pm. Breakfast was excellent, staff were most friendly and efficient. We rode with bicycles and safe storage was not a problem. Hotel had old world charm yet was also well appointed. Excellent value.

Cosy, friendly albergo tucked away in a small side street behind the old clock in the city centre. Next to the Irish pub - which was definitely a downside as we were there for St Patrick's night! Looked like it had recently been refurbished as everything was spick and span.

Reviews From Real Travelers
I travel alone, so I treat hotels quite simple. The main plus is the proximity to the station. Quick settlement. I speak a bad language, but communication with staff was comfortable, staff was kind. The breakfast is normal - chips, bakers, several cuts, juices, tea, coffee ... In the room there are all toilet facilities. The windows went out to the yard - noise from the street was not, but inside I seemed a little noisy. And next to the room was a technical room and from the morning there was a rolling room.

Residing in this hotel 1 night from 22 to 23 September 2019. From a positive - close to the station and breakfast is edible. Booked the hotel via Bucking. The condition of the hotel itself takes accommodation. We were withdrawn twice : cash at the eviction, and the total amount was written off from the card. That the money was written off from the card I learned only when I returned from the journey (as the card was not mine and notice I didn't see). The Bucking Support Service has given nothing because there is no check confirming cash payment. The hotel has frozen on this occasion. In general, there has been a big negative and a lifelong lesson. And the hotel does not provide a tug and smooth ingredients as stated in their services.

Been here before, however same shortcomings every time. Rooms accumulate a lot of dust every day even if ventilation is shut down. Breakfast OK. Diner has only a few selection options, but very worthwhile. Communication with staff is everytime problematic allthough very nice people. Maybe the Italian way. Good free parking. The location is very strategic even if at first impression you think it is not. Plenty gas stations around the corner. The shopping mall own the road freccia Rossa this year was almost dead. Eat at hotel restaurant and don't try find better outside, waste of time. Especially the Elnos shopping center. Probably I return here every time.

This is - without any frills and fancy stuff - a good hotel. A good hotel in terms of friendly staff, clean rooms, alll the amenities you need for a weekend getaway and a good location just some 15 minutes walk to downtown. Good housekeeping - that is a rare thing to find these days. Parking is free and there is plenty of parking. Whilst we never had breakfast there, we did go for a few drinks in the evening - good service and very reasonalby priced. Been there three times meanwhil and will certainly stay there again on a future occasion

Ideal location for Brescia and Bergamo European city of culture, easy access from Milan 1 hr by train and also 1 hr into Bergamo by train. that's with roughly a 10 euro fare, Similar if you wanted to go to Lake Garda or Verona, Hotel is just a few stops along the new subway £1.40 king everything so simple. super room, clean good staff reasonably priced so no complaints on any front. stayed 3 nights

I was in this hotel for work and I found myself very good. wide clean and modern rooms with comfortable bed and a choice of coat. Otherwise Hilton is always synonymous with guarantee. Very good and varied breakfast and staff is kind and kind. Parking is very large and is free for guests of the hotel. Very wonderful stay. Recommended

I had a room with a dream view of the doom. The room and the bathroom I found relatively old. The air conditioning had not even much performance against the heat. The whole building worked inside like a time machine in the 1930s. But: All staff at the hotel were really very friendly and helpful. That was great class.
- Guest User
The breakfast was very rich. The hotel was quiet. There was a local ceremonial performance on the night. Very good. The hotel was very retro but it was very clean. The five-star standard price is still very high. Free parking is available.

Reviews From Real Travelers
I chose to stay at the Centro Paolo VI when I booked a trip to Italy at short notice, inspired by the good reviews on Trippadvisor. My experience was predominantly positive. Room was clean, with good air-conditioning. The furnishings were simple. The bed was, perhaps, a little too firm for my taste, and a bit low for a bloke with a bad knee. :-) Lighting in the bedroom might have been a bit brighter. The bathroom was clean, although, as mentioned by some other reviews, the shower was a bit tight. The building is a bit of a mixture. In part, it is a grand baroque palace, but other parts are much more functional. It has clearly been in institutional use for a long time. I gather that, before taking on its present function in 1975, it had been a seminary. It remains a church foundation, and functions mainly as a conference centre, offering meeting rooms for far more more people than it could accommodate overnight. Its lifts, as remarked in some less positive reviews, are decidedly old-fashioned but were perfectly adequate to get me and my luggage up and down, which is, after all, the only thing you need a lift to do. So far as food is concerned, breakfast was served in buffet style, with staff bringing coffee or tea to guests at their tables. Weather permitting, breakfast can be eaten outside in the garden. What was less helpful about the very obvious conference centre purpose was the situation about evening meals. For the first four evenings of my stay, I ate in the restaurant. Choice was a bit limited, but the food was tasty and served by a friendly waiter. On the fifth night, a Sunday, I cheerfully set off to the restaurant, only to find it closed. Not only is it always closed on Sundays, it was now closed for a summer break until 28 August! This is NOT notified on the web site, nor any any notice displayed in the building. This may make perfect sense for a conference centre in a period when nobody is arranging conferences, but is awkward for holiday accommodation. The building is in a quiet area, but is served by buses on neighbouring streets. Brescia's complex one-way system means that, for example, the 12 from the station stops one street away at the front, but the bus going towards the station stops a couple of streets to the rear. It is only about 5 minutes' walk to the biggest cultural site of the city, the Santa Giulia Museum, and other places of interest are within walking distance. Staff were invariably friendly and helpful. Incidentally, if you are going by car, booking directly with the institutions gets free parking in a safe, enclosed yard.

I do not usually write reviews, but in this case, I felt I had to. I hope this helps someone down the line, so that you can avoid the same disappointment we experienced. I found this hotel after doing quite a lot of research for places to stay in Brescia. I had looked at many other hotels in the area, including several at fairly high price points, like the Marriott, the Hilton, or the Hotel Master. As we were celebrating a special birthday, we thought it would be nice to splurge on a more expensive, more luxurious hotel. When I first found this hotel, I thought it looked lovely. Based on the pictures from their website, it seemed to be exactly what we’d been looking for: It had a lot of history, with beautiful architecture and a grandiose staircase, and the photos showed nice furnishings and spacious rooms with king-size beds. The description of the hotel by the website also sounded very promising, professing to be “an ancient Palace at the heart of Brescia center” with “a mission for hospitality: combining the historic character-&-allure with efficiency, the courteous service with professionalism”, and which afforded “a Monumental Baroque-style Experience with garden view. ” In other words, the perfect way to ring in an important birthday. There was no issue with the check-in, and the receptionist was very polite. The reception itself seemed to reflect the photos on the website, so we were looking forward to seeing the rest of the hotel. This is where we had our first disappointment: The beautiful stairs seen in the photos are not typically used to gain access to the rooms. Instead, we are sent the other way, to a much less grand and rather dustier staircase with none of the same presence, and none of the architectural interest. Many of the windowsills had peeling paint and dust / debris on the ledges. The lift (which we needed to get to the third floor), was cramped and old-fashioned. It also had a rather interesting quirk: unlike modern lifts, which will let you choose your floor, and then softly close the doors, this one would immediately shutter the doors after pressing the floor button, regardless of who or what was in its way, with bruising force. Somewhat surprising, but not a deal-breaker. We got to the third floor, which is noticeably hotter than the rest of the hotel, as it is in the eaves. The carpet is rather worn, and there is what seems to be a bleach stain in the corridor, which has discoloured a patch near our rooms. Our second -and largest- disappointment came when we viewed the rooms. As stated earlier, we had decided to splurge, and so had booked two “Panorama” rooms. These were supposed to offer either a panoramic view of Brescia, or of their internal gardens. When booking, we had gone so far as to add a little note, explaining that this was for a special occasion and asking to be given as nice a view as possible. The first room did indeed have a panoramic view of Brescia. However, the balcony furniture visible on

The quality of the food served at the restaurant was excellent as well as the service at the table. They always cared about the customers. There was a very good selection of different food for both fish and meat which was well explained by the waiters.

When you go through, you can book directly, and occasionally stay for one night, you can only say the standard of Novotel.
