"My Husband booked a night away here for my birthday during our travels around Europe and the UK. On pulling up to Abbots Oak I was drawn in by the beauty of the home and it's surrounds. Our welcome was warm and we were immediatley shown to our beautiful suite. During our stay, our hosts Anthony and Sarah, were wonderful and really made us feel welcome and relaxed. Anthony is a fountain of knowledge about the history of the home and local area, which both my husband and I really appreciated, and feel that it's a real asset to have hosts who are so passionate about history and the like. Was wonderful to be able to access the top of the tower and take in the beautiful countryside. The patio area is a beautiful spot to sample some truly delicious local Gins, and a stroll around the gardens and forest really made us feel like we were a world away. We were very impressed with the food we were served at both dinner and breakfast was delicious and well though out, Sarah made the BEST vegan Chilli I've ever had, and we really appreciated that they were able to provide us with amazing vegan options. The wild mushrooms at breakfast were cooked to perfection! Our next visit to the UK will definitely include another stay here, and we've already started raving about the place to our family and friends who live in Leicestershire and surrounds. "
"Abbots Oak Manor is a beautiful property in the process of gradual renovation, set in lovely grounds. We stayed for just one night in Room 2 (Snowdrop Room) and after seeing the interiors on the hotel website we were looking forward to a chance to relax in luxurious surroundings. On arrival at our room however we were very surprised to find that the ensuite facilities open directly into the bedroom. This lack of privacy when using the loo may be okay for some visitors but it wasn't for us. I felt it was a feature of which we should have been made aware prior to booking. We were also disappointed by a complete lack of storage space for clothing - no wardrobe, drawers or hanging space but just one plastic clothes hanger on the back of the bedroom door. I returned to Reception to ask if we could move to a different room but was informed that the hotel was fully booked and no alternative room available. The member of staff also expressed surprise that we objected to the open-plan bedroom/bathroom arrangement and said that nobody else had ever raised any concerns about it. Is it only me!! The hotel has great potential and I would like to think that the room's shortcomings would be addressed by its charming and attentive owners."
"My parents gifted my partner and I a night here as a Christmas present and it was wonderful. Beautiful building with lovely rooms. The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel at home. The food was easily the best I have ever eaten and if you are there in the winter, the baked Camembert is a must! All and all, a perfect night. "

"The hotel is near the school library, leaving for 4 years, everything is still the same, super feelings. The attitude at the front desk is very good. After all, it is a school guest house, especially sincere. Parking is free! ! Very suitable for self-driving overnight! Ctrip’s executive room has a long way to go from the reception, and dragging the box to go over the sound is quite big. The room is very new, giving a lot of small biscuits chocolate, very warm."
"I went back to the school to attend the graduation ceremony, so I booked this hotel in the school. It is clean, the breakfast is very rich, quiet, the receptionist and the cleaning staff are very nice. Like the heating, you can adjust the temperature yourself, it is very good for me who is afraid of cold."
"I went to see a child studying at Loughborough University. I saw this hotel on Ctrip. I placed an order directly. I was a little worried. I didn't expect everything would be convenient after I arrived. Then I continued to stay for another day."

"Stayed here for two nights midweek and after reading some of the reviews was pleasantly surprised. Our room was on the first floor in the main building and was vast as was the bed. Yes the rooms could do with a bit of updating but the room was spotless as was the bathroom and the huge bed was incredibly comfortable. The room has everything you would need without having to ask at reception - • Iron & Ironing Board • Tea & coffee making facilities including complimentary biscuits • Full length mirror • Hairdryer • Complimentary toiletries • Smartphone buddy • Large wardrobe with plenty of hangers and plenty of other storage There was a good choice for breakfast including porridge, haddock and eggs benedict as well as the normal full English. I was given a pot of coffee which you don’t always get everywhere. There was also a good selection of artisan breads, pastries and fruit. The hotel is situated in a small village with a surprisingly large number of very good eateries within walking distance. All in all I think this hotel offers very good value for money and I would definitely stay again. "
"We had booked a Groupon Afternoon Tea here for my mother in law's birthday and it was beautiful 🥳🥳 My mum and my partner too. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Tables were spaced out nicely and hand gel everywhere. Staff were wearing masks too. The sandwiches were all very fresh and tasty. The little cake treats were delicious. Then came the fruit scones, with loads of jam and cream. It was so yummy 😋😋 We sat in the conservatory and it was a very pleasant room. Staff were friendly and helpful too. We would definitely return, in fact I've bought another voucher as a present for someone. Thanks very much to Groupon too and the hotel, for a lovely treat for us all. We will be back 🌞🌞"

"Repeat visit Stayed one night this time - initially planned for watching university varsity rugby match but ended up being for repatriation/collection of daughter as university going online due to Coronavirus hotel unsurprisingly very quiet but we felt very safe and looked after by staff from arrival at reception through to breakfast in morning and housekeeping throughout. High emphasis on safety and hygiene from all and everything delivered in very professional manner - little/no evidence of stress staff under in situation All payments by card and explicit request for no cash - understandable in circumstances but meant couldn’t leave cash gratuity to be shared by all staff, nor could card payment system cope with added gratuity Left copious grateful thanks to be distributed to all involved in our stay but would have liked to do more in showing appreciation"
"We had a comfortable two nights with breakfast in early October. The room was clean and well-equipped, and many precautions had been taken to ensure the venue was Covid-safe. This included arrangements for breakfast, which was freshly cooked to order. It was obvious that visitor numbers have dropped considerably, but the staff were cheerful and helpful despite the impact of Covid. The hotel is in a convenient location in the grounds of an arboretum, which we have enjoyed many times when it has been open."
"The friends we went to from the airport were very convenient. It would be great if we took a taxi directly. Then the front desk service was very friendly. We stayed in so many hotels and felt that the price performance of the hotel was very high. Recommended"

"The hotel room is very large, the design must be beautiful, and the breakfast is also very delicious. It's a typical American breakfast. It's very good to have a menu to order according to your taste. The house has a sofa. It's very considerate to have a waiter come to the room to open the sofa and put it on. Beautiful surroundings of the hotel"
"The price is quite high. There is a Sainsbury and a Pizza Hut on the other side. Nothing else is left. I lived twice. The first time the black waiter didn't give free parking. The bill was still worth more than I found. The second Spanish waiter was very nice. I gave free parking and free Wi-Fi."
"The service was absolutely amazing, the breakfast was self service and really good too. However, was disappointed at the fact that, the pool was not open and nowhere on the hotel trip.com page did it state this. It was the main reason we booked the stay."

"This time I mainly participated in the children's graduation ceremony. This hotel has a good location and is relatively close to the University of Lai. It is enough to walk to the university or participate in activities. The surrounding city is very beautiful, there are no tall buildings, but the small houses are very distinctive. The hotel room is clean, there are bottles of pure water and biscuits, the surrounding environment is good, the scenery is beautiful, and it is close to the railway station."
"In the city center, near the train station, there are many restaurants around, as well as Chinese supermarkets, it is very convenient. But the hotel is old, the room is small, the facilities are very old, because one elevator is broken, I took a big box and circled a big circle, sitting on another small ladder that can only take two people, the hotel is like a labyrinth The music is curved and has a retro mood. There is free parking and it is my satisfaction."
"The facilities are relatively old, but good things are used for the settings! Very well maintained! The room is clean, the location is on the new walk road, it is only 5 minutes walk from the railway station, the surrounding environment is first-rate, the closest hotel to Laida! Nice experience!"

"We pcked this hotel as it looked very nice and a little bit fancy, it did look lovely on arrival very impressive. Inside was clean and smelt nice in the corridors to the rooms. We paid extra for a superior room as it included a kettle and there was a good selection of tea and coffee/decaf and a couple of biscuits! Bottled water in the room and toiletries in the bathroom was a nice touch. The only downside to the room was the actual bathroom or lack of one ! It was a glass box! This offered no privacy and made for very awkward bathroom visits! We ate in the lounge bar and the food was amazing! I am vegetarian and was very impressed with the choice and the food was delicious for me and my fiance who had the mixed grill, we would highly recommend eating at the hotel bar. At breakfast there was a good choice of food and drinks, vegetarian sausages cooked to order were really tasty. All staff were friendly and attentive. There is loads of nice pubs within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay. "
"We stayed for one night whilst visiting a relative in Loughborough. We were given an Executive room - always good to get an upgrade. The room was extremely large, clean and very comfortable bed. We had eaten earlier so only used the bar for a nightcap but the menu tempting. Nice comfortable bar facilities and pleasant staff. The bedroom was warm but we were able to turn the radiator down whilst we were sleeping as we like a cool room to sleep. Breakfast was good and there was a wide choice of both hot and cold items. Although we were only there for one night we were impressed with the hotel and thought that it was good value for money and when we are next in the area we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again."
"We only stayed one night bed and breakfast, but we were warmly welcomed. In fact all the staff were polite and helpful. We were in a deluxe room which was large and modern. The see through bathroom was a little unusual but spacious. The setting was tranquil and it was a short walk to the centre of the village. The bar was very comfortable and breakfast was fresh and plentiful. There was also a 4 hour free EV charge. Overall, an excellent stay. We'll be back again."

"Visited yesterday, 14th March 2020. My husband and I had Prosecco Afternoon Tea. The arrival welcome was wonderful and this set the tone for the whole experience. The table was beautifully laid with a lovely old fashioned China Tea Set. The service was first class and friendly. The food was delicious and had clearly been lovingly prepared and presented. A healthy variety of sandwich fillings and delightful sweet treats. We were offered extra sandwiches and tea which was fabulous. In case sandwiches, cakes, little Madeline's and chocolate treats aren't enough, then come your freshly cooked scones, cream and jam. These scones were light, fluffy and warm. Delicious. We didn't eat everything and the waitress (Debbie) offered to pack it up for us to take home. Attention to detail, attention to customer satisfaction and attention to the quality of what they are delivering seem to be priority, which is very refreshing indeed. Well done Badgers Mount, it genuinely was a pleasure to visit your restaurant. I would definitely recommend this place and will return."
"Wow what can I say but.... Amazing place to stay ! The staff especially Sharon on reception was an exception. As the outbreak of corona we were still able to stay at Field view as it is a separate apartment from the hotel. When we were ready for the meals they would bring them round at the time stated. Delicious meals with everything we ordered. The jacuzzi was clean and well isolated. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and shall definitely be back. Thank you to all staff who made this possible. Stay safe xxx"
"Stayed here for 4 nights. Room was on ground floor with terrace. Good sized room with comfy beds. More drawer space would have been nice as would a fridge! Bathroom was ok with a large jacuzzi bath. Again, more storage space for toiletries would have been welcome. Breakfasts were served prompt, freshly cooked and hot. All staff were polite and smiling (difficult in light of the world situation). Had one lunch and one evening meal. Both surpassed expectations. The food was excellently presented, tasted as it should and if you have the chicken pie be prepared for a very large portion. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend."

"We stayed for one night at the beginning of September when we dropped our daughter. back to university in the city. The hotel is on the ring road, but located within a new pedestrianised area - with parking at the back. FOLLOW THE YELLOW SIGNS for parking! if we had not spotted the signs we would have been going around in circles I think. We were made to feel very welcome - the hotel was quiet - covid measures in place and adhered to. The staff we great - friendly and helpful. Room was lovely - I think an executive double. I would definitely book again. To be very picky - more tea bags and milk please! There was a lovely coffee machine, but for people who drink tea it is a bit mean to offer so few tea bags and milk. But - I am sure we'd have been given more if we asked."
"I stayed as a key worker at the hotel for business purposes. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Welcoming and efficient check in on reception by Aman. I was offered the takeaway Breakfast which I opted for. On check out I was served by Amit who was professional in his role. He asked me how my stay was at the hotel to which I responded as a very positive and enjoyable one. I have enjoyed my brief stay at the hotel and look forward to coming back in the future."
"Staying in Leicester is booked here definitely not the usual standard of Novotel !!! Classy and stylish is how I would describe it ! Fantastic staff who can’t do enough for you and beautiful rooms I got an upgrade to the presidential suite which is just fantastic, will definitely be returning. There attention to detail during the pandemic is also second to none."
