|7.76km from city centerThe Klima hotel is absolutely lovely. The service was wonderful, all of the staff were polite and friendly and we got a”Bonjourno!”or a “Ciao!” every time we passed. The room was spacious and the bed was huge! The shower was powerful and everywhere very clean. The location is within an industrial estate but the bus stop is a 5 minute walk, the tram stop is a 10 min walk, and the local train station is a 15 minutes walk, with a Milano card, this was great. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

|4.64km from city centerWouldn’t advise anyone to stay here, the reason I’d rate it 2 stars rather than 1 is that the downstairs lobby has recently been renovated and looks nice, while the reception staff are friendly enough. But, once you’re up at the rooms, there’s an awful smell of stale cigarette smoke, the beds are uncomfortable with just one small thin pillow each, barely enough to raise your head up. Walls are paper thin and loud noises all night, almost impossible to sleep. Couldn’t get the Wifi or Aircon working, room was far too hot (in March, with the window open). Bar advertised throughout the hotel but this had previously shut down and signage not updated. Was advised to use bar in another hotel. Positives - Friendly reception staff, room was clean (albeit dated and in need of renovation) & location was good. Just beside tram & metro stop. It’s the quality Id expect from a 2 star hostel, with a higher pricepoint.

|5.84km from city centerAfter reading all the mixed reviews, I won't lie, I was not sure what to expect. The images on the site looked great so I stayed optimistic. We landed at Bergamo and got a coach transfer to Milan Centrale which was around €60. We had 2 large suitcases so got a private taxi to the hotel which was roughly €20. Be prepared to do lots of walking!! We checked in at 2pm and paid the local tax, and the staff were lovely, all bar one who was always a bit grumpy !! The staff were more than accommodating and welcomed us so well and one of the ladies gave my children a little Minions activity pack each which they loved. Breakfast was included in our package which I didn't realise- brilliant! The selection was good and I was impressed by how many alternative milks they had as well catering to those with intolerances/allergens ie a gluten free diet. (I would however recommend that the gluten free items be placed further away from the pastries and cakes to prevent cross contamination, as well as a separate toaster) Fresh juice was available everyday as well as a good selection of fruit salad, cakes, pastries and different kinds of teas. I would suggest a few more options for those that do not eat meat. Nonetheless the breakfast was great- especially the marble cake!! We had use of the pool and gym included. My children would stay in the pool all day if they could but it was great to cool down in as it is incredibly hot!! The gentleman at the desk suggested taking the 27 tram into the city centre, and this is just a short walk away from the hotel. It takes roughly 20 mins max to get to the centre and runs every 10 mins which is great. We purchased a travel card (3 day and 2 day separately) for €12 and €8 which covered bus, train, tram and metro. (These can be purchased at convenience stores or the metro station). Children also travel free on public transport as far as I know. The rooms were big enough for us and were tidy on arrival. We didn't need housekeeping everyday but the ladies who did come in did a fabulous job and didn't disrupt any of our items. These ladies were lovely and always smiled when we greeted them. We had air conditioning which was a god send as it was very hot during our visit- nearly 40°C!! WiFi is included but you have to get daily codes which was a bit annoying but the gentleman at the desk gave us enough to cover the last few days of our trip. The hotel was clean and tidy as well as smelling nice- I need to know what fragrance is used in the lobby!! The staff were great and I cannot thank them enough for all their help during our staff, they are a credit to the Novotel chain. I'm really sorry I didn't catch any names during our stay, but can gladly recommend this hotel to my friends and family! Arrivederci!!

|2.59km from city centerI stayed at the Hotel Galles with my two year old son to visit the Christmas markets and generally do some sightseeing in December 2022. From the get go the staff were fantastic and we had a room with a large and comfortable cot (with small duvet and pillows) and a big bath tub. The breakfast is a buffet style and has a great range to select from. We had dinner in the restaurant on our first night and it was beautiful 🤩 I managed a sneaky glass of wine at the Cardiff bar where Christian was absolutely lovely with my little boy. Whilst we didn’t use the pool, it was great to know it was there if it became too chilly to go out. The location of the hotel is perfect, ten minute walk from the Central Station - don’t make the mistake of getting the airport train to the Cordona station…it’s a 50 minute walk even if the train is quicker! The reception staff were incredibly helpful and gave us lots of advice about where to go and how to get there. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to others. There’s is some residual noise from the streets and the trains but it’s an inner city hotel, so I expected that but it didn’t keep us awake at night. Thanks to all the staff who made our weekend away extra special.

|1.82km from city centerI don't know which side is responsible. When booking, I chose a twin bed, two breakfasts, the price has been paid for a twin bed, and the other place in REMAKS said ”Must be a twin room”, but the hotel did not know when arriving at the store, telling me that no customer needs were received, Need to take the room colleagues and the hotel front desk to negotiate for a period of time to get the room, the experience is very disappointing.

|3.14km from city centerThe apartment was very nice - modern and clean and a good amount of room for a family of 5. The location was great — within a short walking distance to the central train station as well as the metro. The area felt safe and there were a few low key restaurants near by. The lobby had a coffee/tea station as well a fridge full of water. Overall, good location, nice modern apartment, and decent value.

|3.66km from city centerI would like to say I never go out of my way to write a bad review, as I understand nowhere is perfect and often it’s just one or two minor things which aren’t good. But sadly I had to review this experience. Upon check-in the grumpy person behind the desk took photocopies of our passports. We were given a key with a chunky, dirty keyring and weren’t told how we could get to our room or given any sort of information as to what to expect on our stay here. We were given no leaflets or anything in our room about nearby attractions. When we entered our room we instantly noticed how dirty the room was. Overall the interior of both the hotel and the rooms are pleasant and seemingly lovely traditional Italian. Sadly it seems that the owner has given up with ensuring it is kept nice and clean as everything looks shabby and wilted. We aren’t even being picky, the standard things which you would expect to be clean were very dirty. The room looked like it hadn’t been hoovered, the surfaces looked unwiped, the shower head was filthy with limescale so had to request it to be cleaned as genuinely felt it was unsafe to shower under. The mattress was like sleeping on the floor and pillows were flat. We had to request more pillows several times. We were just given 1 sheet (which was thankfully the only thing in the room clean) to sleep with and no headboard. The drain in the shower smelt really bad when water from the shower drained into it - it smelt like the sewer. The only 2 working plug sockets in the whole of the room and bathroom were if you unplugged the TV and on the floor near the bathroom door with nowhere to rest anything on (e.g. a phone to charge). We found a mini fridge in our room under the desk but sadly no option of a mini bar where we could purchase waters or snacks. This could be a great opportunity for the hotel to make the guest experience better and also make money and yet something else which they don’t care about. The chair at the desk had also seen better days and looks like it’s been thrown around. Also, when the maid cleaned our room, they shoved our pyjamas almost in a ball nearly on top of the dirty phone in the room. We were disgusted. Sadly there is no restaurant on site or any options for food or drink which is extremely unusual. We found that the staff were overall quite rude but when we showed them our flat pillows and the shower head they seemed to understand where we were coming from and a little embarrassed. Nearby there seems to be a few transport links but we were given no information how to get into Milano Centrale or to attractions such as Duomo. Because of this and how confusing we found the transport system, we sadly spent an unnecessary amount on Uber’s because none of the staff would really help us. Unfortunately with it being August, all shops/restaurants/cafes/businesses within several miles are closed. They need the hotel inspector to visit.

|2.44km from city centerConsidering this was booked on the cheap, last minute i wasn't expecting much but i was happily mistaken. Hotel is well located in the centre of Milan, just along from the central train & subway station. Despite being on the third floor, the hotel is clearly signposted with its on buzzer for the electronic exterior door. On the third floor, the elevator opens straight into a very large reception area. The staff i encountered understood & spoke good English. They were also very patient & attentive too. The decor was reflective of the premises, nice but nothing special. The place seemed very clean & the first rooms are located on the same floor. The rooms themselves are again nothing special. Spacious with a large window & beds were reasonably comfortable, if a little hard. Bathroom is a decent size with a bath/shower. Breakfast was served in the large reception area & their was an appropriate selection available which all seemed good quality. Their was also coffee available via table service. Overall I was pleasantly surprised by this establishment & i would consider staying here again.

Milan
|0.76km from city centerThis review is truly the ”two halves”. We gave the property management plenty of chances to ”make things right”. In the end, they chose to just write us off. Plenty of travelers will pick to stay here, right? Who cares about one unhappy customer? Never even took the time to apologize for the broken things. Zero response. The GOOD: location is super convenient. Close to the Metro station, just one stop away from the Piazza del Duomo. It is also close to a supermarket and café. That made it nice to pick up needed items during our trip. Our room is located below ground, with large windows that are at the courtyard level, so you do get sunlight in. They came with heavy shutters to block out lights and for privacy. We were warned about a hundred times not to roll our luggage/trolley across the courtyard. To be very quiet. It turned out to be non issue as our room was located immediately to the left of the entrance. No need to go across the courtyard at all. Check in process was very easy. Got our door codes and how things operated. Our room was very large and comfortable. Especially enjoyed the closets and storage spaces. Good and large shower with all the toiletries. Towels were on the thin side but adequate. Overall it was a quiet and very clean accommodation. The BAD: weather in Milan was on the warm side during our stay. Having air conditioning would have made our stay more comfortable. Our AC was not cool at all, more of a fan that drew outside air. This was reported, but never resolved. The hairdryer would trip and quit after about 30 seconds. This was reported, but never resolved. The in room safe also did not work. It would lock and entering the code would not open it (good thing we did a test run first) This was never resolved as well. In the end, we were glad we would move on down our journey, staying at more traditional hotels. There is no reception at this place. No one to talk to about problems unless communicated via texts. There is no check out process. You simply leave at the end of the stay, pay the city tax online. Will never stay here again if we ever visit Milan.

San Siro
Milan
|1.81km from city centerThe hotel is located near the Church of the Virgin of Gratitude, about a few kilometers away, and then the hotel is located on the second floor. When you check in, you have to press the call next to the door to ask them to open the door. The hotel is on the second floor (equal to the third floor of the country). Simple, then take a small elevator upstairs to check in. The room is OK, I bought less than 900rmb a night, the superior single room, the room is not big, but there is a balcony, the facilities are complete, there is a password box, there is no hot water bottle, the water in the refrigerator does not know if it can be drunk for free, the price is marked on the top, but I drank a bottle of pure water and confiscated my money. The balcony of the room is very good. It would be better if two people were together. You can sit and chat and see the street view. Then every day someone will come to clean, the quilt looks quite clean, pay attention to their toilet next to a small similar wash basin, that is used to wash pg, but most of us do not have this habit. The hotel traffic is quite convenient. There are 10 trams at the 100-meter turn. You can take the M1 subway for more than 600 meters. It is recommended that you buy the 3-day pass if you play for a few days, which is more cost-effective (I often do the wrong station 😂). Then there are many restaurants nearby. It takes a few steps to get there. I feel very rich in the hotel's breakfast. I have a lot of snacks, yogurt and fruit. Praise! . Don't worry about playing, Milan is very small, half an hour of public transportation can basically reach most attractions. Basically, to be honest, the Milan hotel is quite expensive, and you have to pay a 4 euro/day tax when you check out, but the front desk service is very good, and you will have a little English and say hello.

|3.1km from city centerExtremely friendly and available staff, excellent cleaning and excellent location, just 600 metres from the metro. Unfortunately, our room, the 306, which was so hot as it was served, was so warm that the air conditioning also needed a lot of time to make the temperature at least acceptable, This is only in the room because we have always made real saunas in the bathroom. There was only so much noise and so much swallowing from the window, no air, because, just a meter away, there was a metal box and an infinity of very noisy tubes (photo), It was really difficult to rest at night... The ceiling above the bed, quite very low, did not help... Conclusion: If we were to go back, strictly not to the third floor and, above all, never again in 306!

|2.95km from city centerAwful. This hotel room was truly disgusting. If it was a budget hostel I would still be complaining. Firstly, this hotel is not cheap so you do expect a certain level of decency. Upon arrival the guy at reception will do very little in regards to customer service or even bother with eye contact. You will then proceed into what is a dated hotel with no amenities. Upon entering the room you won’t be finding much at all, this only highlights the amount of disrepair and uncleanliness of your room. The smell of mould will soon catch your attention and lead you into what is the most offensive bathroom I have ever seen. Mould on every surface and cracks in the toilet. No attempt has been made to clean away the mouldiness for update any of the broken things such as the toilet seat, shower door or manky handles. This bathroom was a health hazard and should not be functioning as a vacant room. If you can endure the filth don’t expect a good night sleep, the property has a vintage lift which will keep you awake alongside heavy doors being slammed. If there is a respite in internal movements the busy road and junction outside is more than enough to keep you awake. As for the location, there is literally nothing nearby, no shops no restaurants no places of interest. Avoid.

|1.43km from city centerThis was my second stay at the Hotel Milano Navigli. I had liked my first visit in September 2019 so returned for a few nights in September after my arrival and befor my departure in Italy . The hotel is a convenient 12 minute street car trip or an interesting 20 minute walk south of Piazza Di Duomo. The hotel overlooks Piazza orta Ticinese and is at the beginning of a typical quartierei which attracts visits from other parts of Milano and tourists almost entirely from other Italian cities. The Navigli are the last of a systems of canals that were developed to among other items the white marble that forms the stunning facade of Il Duomo. The remaining canals have pedestrian walk ways and during this very warm September cafe and restaurant terraces splling onto the streets. This hotel has interesting murals lining the staircase. The front reception desk is all there is for public space aside from the room for prima colazione. However Piazza Porta Ticinese is a neighbourhood living room. The rooms are contemporary in design and very comfortable. Upon my return for my last 2 nights of this voyage, I was upgraded to a top floor room with my own terrazzo overlooking Piazza Porta Ticinese and the perfect place to see the sun set. This was an unexpected treat. Front desk staff on both my stays is welcoming and helpful. Although I conversed in Italian I know that they can also help guests in English as necessary. The solid construction of the hotel means despite the busy street bellow on Piazza Porta Ticinese and the rattling tram on the cross street do not penetrate the comfortable rooms and i sleep very well indeed. Since I will be traveling mainly in Romagna I will be flying into one of the Milano airports and again will begin and end my trip t this gem.

|1.36km from city centerThe Antica Locanda Leonardo hotel is located a block away from Leonardo Da Vinci’s Last Super which was a pleasant surprise. If only we had been made aware of that fact, in the hotel documentation and website, we might have requested tickets months in advance, when we made the hotel reservation. A missed opportunity. The initial reception interaction was truly welcoming and the room itself was adequate. We could not get the AC fan to come on during our entire stay. The curtains in the bathroom were see thru. Bare walls without any type of artwork was a rather unpleasant surprise. A couple of paintings, prints, posters, or photographs would have made the room a lot more welcoming. Breakfast was also barely adequate, nothing to write home about, but just the basics. The hot chocolate was watery and not even at the level of a Nestle hot cacao pouch. Had to request room service one day after departing the room in the early morning and placing the request for service on the door knob, and returning in the late afternoon without the room being made. The clerk at the reception wanted to make excuses about the maids making up rooms for new arrivals ahead of others, but that did not make any sense at 4:00 pm in the afternoon after we had been out all day. Overall, considering the nightly rates, not recommended. Also, very limited places to eat in the neighborhood.

Room 4, deep depressions both sides of the bed. Had to ask for toilet paper, fresh towels. The elevator broke. We were stuck between floors for 20 minutes, the alarm bell was not heard at the front desk. Had to call from our cell phone. Fortunately the woman at the desk was able to get us out or we would have had to wait 30 minutes longer for someone to come fix it. Positive note, The ladies at the front desk are lovely & location is good. Breakfast is included & was ok. The kitchen was well equipped, complimentary coffeee was provided and also 2 bottles of water. Keep in mind that if you plan to stay longer you need shampoo and shower gel since only small toiletries are provided. The cleaning of the apartment each day and the change of towels comes at an extra cost, so be aware of that as well. The reception staff was very helpful and polite and we appreciated Them a lot.
