My wife and I enjoyed two 30-minute treatments at the spa. Isabella, our host, was very professional and knowledgeable about the treatments we booked. The treatments were fantastic, and the treatment room provided a really relaxing environment. After the treatments, we had lunch on the rooftop terrace. The food was high quality, and there was no rush for us to move on. We spent the rest of the afternoon in the spa, drinking cocktails in the outdoor pool. We're already planning our next visit.

I’m lucky enough to work in spa hotels all over the country but The Elms really is up there with the very best, setting the standard. I went with a friend for a very much needed spa evening and it was next level in so many areas. The customer service, led by the wonderful Zoe, was faultless. The treatment was bliss. The surroundings are idyllic. The decor is a world apart from most spa hotels and you’re made to feel like the most special guests. After our incredible treatment and use of the indoor/outdoor hot tub and other facilities - we headed to the hotel for drinks and nibbles in the bar where the impeccable service continued…we very nearly booked a room as we couldn’t bring ourselves to leave the luxury of the surroundings. We stayed until after 11 pm eating, drinking and catching up. I can’t recommend this place enough…a beautiful hotel with incredible, impeccably trained staff who ensure you’ll have the very best of everything. Well done to all the team!

A poor quality afternoon tea, pre order of dietary requirements not provided. Tea bags and chunky cups are not traditional so this is not my preference. I requested an alternative to salmon and was served one small finger of dry white bread with no spread/butter and just grated cheese. No other filling. I felt cheated. 1 x small cheese scone and 1 x small fruit scone. Cheese scone had no spread of any sort, so found it very dry. Pasties/cakes not very special in any way. But mostly service very poor. The order was muddled and the staff never once asked if all was ok. I was subject to a 10% service charge of £11.20. No bill was offered for me to view I was instructed oh the total verbally. Really poor for what is described as luxury. This was a birthday gathering with my family. I was so embarrassed and disappointed. There are far better venues for afternoon tea.

I spent the afternoon here for Mothering Sunday as a treat. This past Mother's Day, I treated myself to a blissful afternoon at the spa. The spa was a haven of tranquillity, with its elegant design and calming ambience. As soon as I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by a lovely lady at the reception, who graciously guided me through the facilities, ensuring that I felt right at home. The attentive staff by the poolside further enhanced the atmosphere, making my relaxation experience all the more enjoyable. The full-body massage I received was nothing short of extraordinary, and Isabella, the masseuse, provided detailed explanations throughout the treatment, adding to the overall experience. After the massage, I savoured a delightful afternoon tea on the terrace, surrounded by a peaceful and serene environment. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to this exceptional spa.

We had an afternoon spa package with a massage and facial for my husband’s birthday. The location and facilities were amazing and we were really impressed with the service. I had Isabella for my massage and facial, she was brilliant, talked me through everything and made me feel at ease. We stayed for an evening meal at badgers which was fantastic. We will definitely visit again soon.

Spa and treatment was lovely, room was classy but room service menu for dinner wasn’t great. Food was expensive for what it is, outdoor hot tub in the spa was a great bonus. Nice and quiet too. Staff helped me organise a suprise and ensured stuff was delivered to room.

Beautiful Sunday lunch but portions are small. The spa and gym are a cut above. Wonderful atmosphere and very friendly staff. The original character of the building has been kept whilst also giving a modern feel. We would highly recommend however not cheap

The Elms Hotel organised and managed an excellent event for our special day. Everything went well including allocation of rooms on the day. Everyone had a great time, food was fantastic and rooms were very comfortable Big shout out to Densy for her enthusiasm during the event!

We booked the sleep and dine package with £45 each towards dinner and breakfast included. We were put in room 8 and the main room is absolutely beautiful and the bed so comfy but the bathroom seriously needs some work. The grout was dirty, there was lots of peeling paint and the water pressure was too low to have a proper shower. We made use of the spa and really enjoyed the pool, the sauna and steam rooms. The jacuzzi could have been warmer but that is perhaps personal preference. The main issue is the floor is extremely wet and I almost fell even walking carefully. There was also nowhere to sit in the spa area with dirty towels as well as dirty glasses everywhere. Food portions definitely need to be improved. It was £10 for a bit of sorbet, a couple strawberries and a very measly amount of meringue, which is ridiculous. The food and drink however was of good quality, the cocktails we tried were delicious. Overall, we’ve come away not feeling as relaxed and rejuvenated as we’d have liked.
