Hotel Caesar Augustus

From the moment one steps onto the pristine premises of Hotel Caesar Augustus in Capri, it becomes immediately evident that this is no ordinary destination—it is a sanctuary. Nestled atop the cliffs of this picturesque island, the establishment is not merely a hotel; it's a haven where souls find solace and rejuvenation. It is, without a doubt, a healing place. Before even setting foot on the island, the concierge staff's proactive approach was evident. Their impeccable coordination and meticulous attention to detail ensured that the transitions from ferry to hotel transportation were as seamless as the island's tranquil waters. The uncanny sensation of déjà vu pervades as you traverse the corridors, settle into the luxurious suites, or gaze out onto the azure expanse of the Tyrrhenian Sea. At Caesar Augustus, you don't just check-in; you return. You feel immediately at home, as if every prior journey has been leading you to this very moment, to this very place. The cherry on top, however, was the personal greeting from the owners son, Paolo, upon our arrival. His demeanor and enthusiasm made it seem as though we were two old friends who'd been separated by time and tide. Our conversations weren't merely about our stay but about life, dreams, and the ethereal beauty of Capri. With Paolo, there are no formalities or pretenses—only the sincere delight of reuniting with a friend. The staff, in their impeccable attire and warm smiles, further add to this sentiment. By the end of our first day, it seemed as though they knew us not just as guests but as members of this intimate family. They knew our name, approached us with genuine curiosity, and consistently sought ways to elevate our experience. It's one thing for a hotel to cater to a guest's needs, but at Caesar Augustus, they anticipate desires even before they've fully formed in one's mind. Our accommodations at the Caesar Augustus were nothing short of exquisite. Our stay was encapsulated by our room. It was a sanctuary of comfort and luxury, its expansive and pristine interiors opening up to a private terrace. From this vantage, the beauty of Capri unfurled in all its grandeur, offering moments of quiet reflection and awe. One of the first joys we discovered was the hotel's multi-acre garden, a verdant expanse of vegetables, fruits, and ancient olive trees. Wandering through this living tapestry, it was evident that nature's bounty was not just for the eye but also for the palate. This garden was the chef's secret pantry, ensuring that every dish was imbued with the freshest and most authentic flavors of Capri. Adding to the magic was a serene walkway along the property's cliff. With every step, the majesty of Capri unfolded, offering breathtaking vistas of the sea and sky. But it was the hotel's terrace that held the crown for the best view. From here, the vastness of the ocean met the horizon, creating a canvas of blues that seemed almost otherworldly. Amazing hotel. We stay in a lot of hotels around the world, and this has to be one of the most outstanding, service wise we have ever stayed in. Nothing was too much trouble. But it is the little things that make the Parco stand out. The staff never once asked for our room number etc, they knew it. We were always greeted by name and every time we arrived back at the hotel, someone would come out to greet us. The level of care and customer service, always offering a bottle of water as we left the hotel, advice on things to do, arranging tours, ferry, restaurant bookings, help etc. On top of the staff, the amenities were lovely, presented in a beautiful box, more of the extra touches that make the difference. There was no extra charges for a 6 am coffee, delivering breakfast to your room, water bottles etc. Leaving this hotel was like sadly saying goodbye to family. We just loved it and are already planning on travelling back next year from Australia. The only negative if I had to say one is the location is not ideal, situated half way between main ferry port and hilltop town of Capri, but with car on hand 24/7 to drive you anywhere, and the rest of the amazing positives about the hotel, this is by no means an issue, just something to keep in mind if you look past this hotel because of where it is situated. A very special thanks to the lovely Gabby who went above and beyond to make our stay special and Buddika for being our personal chauffeur around the island, as well as the rest of the team at the Excelsior Parco - Gaia and Stefano.

Their hospitality is very appreciated, and they make you feel like a family or friend you haven't seen for a long time. In particular, Mr. Vincenzo, who does not hide his passion for the island by telling anecdotes or short stories of the island and the characters who attended it, and he also can recommend a tour suitable to the circumstances of each guest. The room is wide and suitable for up to 4 people. It has all accessories such as a closet and closet, safe, a small fridge bar, TV and air conditioning. Bathroom with shower box. Participate in the world greenwashing campaign. Inside the room on a table is a chair and some drinks available to you for your own desire. Breakfast is offered in the garden at a structure in the top of the B&B. I appreciated the presence of fresh fruit and soda eggs. In addition, you can have a box of bread to be cheese and a modest presence of sauces and cheeses. Find some meals and cookies, and fruit juices like red orange and ananas. Coffee and cappuccino are prepared at the moment. The latter is good quality. Croissant is offered after short cooking in the oven. Location: Situated at about 300 mt from the first bus stop. You can choose to go down to Piazza della Pace (the nearest) or Piazza Vittoria, from which to go for tours on the Sunro mountain or to take buses to the Blue Grotta or Faro. In the vicinity you can find the center of Anacapri, with the municipality, a kids game park, a small cinema, supermarket, bakery and a variety of locals where you can taste typical products. Around 700mt you can find bus and ticket headlines for Capri or Marina Grande.

Reservation booked and confirmed 2 months in advance with a credit card (2 adults and our daughter 14yrs old) .... 11 days prior to arrival July 1st 2022, manager/owner by the name Fabrizio, calls me on my cell phone (not by email) saying there were bad news ”the guest occupying our assigned room was covid positive” ... instead of offering an alternative accommodation he was, just verbally canceling the reservation ... I replied send me a medical proof/certificate stating so ...he never did... Of course it was not true ... I proceeded to contact a major Travel Agency N.Jersey and another one in Rome ...both wholesale agencies, were relatives of us work ...they started to email and call asking for explanations ... long story short ...only two days prior to arrival, Fabrizio gave in and called me saying he had solved the issue and he would honor the reservation ... The room assigned was ”dirty, the double bed (2 twin mattresses of different height) and Air conditioning did not work the 1st night ... A disaster place with a really deficient management concept of the hospitality industry .... DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!! there are plenty of better choices in Anacapri and Capri

Excellent location in the center of Anacapri. Good swimming pool for a day end. Dry and wet saunas to relax. Small but functional Academy. Attentive service. Breakfast well served, although sometimes a little delay. We asked 2 cooked eggs today and after 15min we went away without eating the eggs. For a 5 star I expected more: - maintenance of the hotel in general could be better. - in our room the dressing was well spent with shapes and holes. - in the academy the steel is disregulated: I supposedly ran to 12km/h but I know I didn't go beyond 8km/h. - The hotel is not 100% non-smoking: smoking is allowed in the common open areas so prepare to drink coffee at 10 a.m. with someone smoking next to you or go to the pool at the end of the day with someone smoking cigarette. The hotel is also a hotel with a large airport, and the hotel is also a hotel with a large airport, with a large airport, and a large airport with a large airport.

The hotel came highly recommended and is in a perfect location in Anacapri away from the bustle of the town. Generally well appointed with great beds (bathroom had almost no shelves to put anything on), beautifully clean. Shower really powerful but drainage couldn’t cope with the power of the shower. Pool area lovely and pool attendant very helpful. Overall we just felt service wasn’t quite 5 star. Very long wait for coffee at breakfast. Took 25 mins to get cocktail in bar (team knew we had a dinner reservation at L’Olivo) and had to ask three times for egg menu at breakfast. There are large numbers of staff - maybe too many so people always think someone is looking after you.

We stayed at this lovely hotel last week. The hotel is perfectly situated for the town of Anacapri which is a lot less busy than Capri itself and I felt was more 'typically Italian' and is a short bus ride/drive to the town of Capri. This is a family run hotel that is immaculately clean and all the staff there are very friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious with a private balcony. Room was efficiently air conditioned which was nice for the nights which were quite warm when we were there. Special mention to Ravi the night porter for accommadating my requests for cups of tea in the evening! This would be the only negative thing to say, it would be nice if there were facilities in you room to make hot drinks as I felt bad continually asking hotel staff to make them even though they didnt seem to mind. Lovely staff who all are willing to go out of there way to help guests, clean rooms and communal areas, good location. Good selection of food at breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel and would happily stay there again. We are hoping to return there in the near future. Thank you and well done to Luigi and his brilliant team of staff.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this cosy hotel in Anacapri. As soon as we entered the room we already fell in love with the breathtaking view of the sea (wait till the sunset ;)). The hotel has a lovely island charm, is clean and set just at the right temperature. What we enjoyed most was the company/service of the lovely people working there. Especially one woman was reading our every wish from our eyes every morning at the breakfast table. We also appreciated the extra effort they made regarding corona - no buffet, but they took our order and then brought everything to us at the table (also large offer - sweet, savoury, fruits, eggs, wide selection of drinks,...). I can definitely recommend this cosy, welcoming place.
