Nestor Hotel

Really enjoyed my stay at Nestor Hotel, the hotel is clean, has a lovely pool, and the food is good! What made it extra special was the staff, all so friendly and accommodating, especially as one of the people I was with is a wheelchair user. The hotel itself isn't the most wheelchair friendly, however their staff did everything they could to make sure my friend could get around and felt comfortable. Also want to mention, the entertainment from Billy was great, always trying to make sure everyone was having fun. Honestly this hotel has a lot of heart, which made out stay very worth while. Only reason why I haven't given the full 5 stars is because it isn't fully accessible for wheelchair users, so room for improvement, that they have said they will definitely be implementing.
Nissi Beach Resort

Sarah and Kristina have just spent a weeks holiday at Hotel Nissi Beach Famagusta, Cyprus. We had sea view rooms and the view of the beautiful beach was fabulous. We used the Spa everyday and had lots of treatments which made us feel good. George one of the managers helped me with my room. Many thanks to Kaliopi and Adriani in the Spa for their excellent massages and all the treatments we had, they were of a high standard. Also had my haircut and dyed in the salon, in the hotel. Bopi was very professional and easy to talk too. I was delighted with my hair, would highly recommend. Thank you to Georgia our housekeeper, who was always so helpful, with a smile on her face. Nothing was a problem, she kept our rooms very clean. Also thank you to Eleni who was always so happy to help us whilst having our meals in the Taverna on the beach. Also to Vasilli and Georgia in the bar by the outside pool. You all made our holiday, most enjoyable. Thank you all, we would highly recommend this Hotel, with no concerns.
Anmaria Beach Hotel & Spa

Firstly before we even arrived I emailed the hotel multiple times with a query we had about our upcoming stay and they just ignore you and never get back to you (other guests have also said this has happened to them). The staff are very rude and have no interest in their guests (apart from one man making the pancakes every morning at breakfast he was so polite and loves to talk to all guests). The so called lifeguard is the rudest man you’ll ever meet, he just sits there talking to people on his phone while rolling tobacco cigarettes yet he had the audacity to shout at my boyfriend in front of everyone for jumping in the pool even though there were NO signs whatsoever that jumping in the pool was forbidden (just diving - which he didn’t do). He shouted “hey you do you want me to say it in another language” being rude and sarcastic. You have to pay for wifi and it only works in the room or reception area it doesn’t work by the pool or by the bar so I had to use my mobile data even though I paid for the wifi. Some days the hotel doesn’t play any music at all around the pool so it’s just complete silence and when they do play music, it’s the same awful depressing cover versions of pop songs on a continuous loop every 5 songs. There is only entertainment 3 nights a week and it is very short and not very good (it’s either a singer or dancer). It’s so bad that most people tend to go out into Ayia Napa and find their own entertainment, which is what we have done every night as we had no idea how boring the hotel was when we booked which is outrageous considering we have paid all inclusive and we still go out every day spending money The food is average but not very good at all. You have to pay for the mini fridge in the hotel room - not just to consume the items inside but to actually unlock the fridge door! So you can’t cool your own food and drink without paying for access to your fridge. You also have to pay for the wifi, safe and bottled water. The sunbeds are awful and uncomfortable and some are broke. The hotel is advertised as being ON the soft sand beach when in fact the beach it is on is a rocky beach that is only used for fishing and you have to walk 10 minutes to get to the soft sand beach where you are able to sunbathe and you have to pay for each sun bed. After being here 2 days we went and inquired about a late check out for in 5 days time because we knew they might not have availability as normal hotel check out time is 12pm and we were getting picked up at 6pm. We were told to come back and check again the next day which we did, just to be told again to come back and check again the day after and this happened every day until the morning we were leaving for them to say there was not ONE room available for us to have for a late check out as our transfer wouldn’t be picking us up for hours. This left us with no room or shower for 6 hours forced to just sit around in reception. Genuinely the only good thing about this h

Mon Repos Hotel
4.4/541 Reviews
We stayed at Mon Repos for just under a week in September. We had rented a car to travel between cities in Cyprus, but didn't need to use it to get to Makronissos or Landa beaches. We were able to walk about 15 minutes to both beaches (Landa was our favourite, as it is a quieter and cleaner beach). There is also a neighbouring hotel (Amethyst Hotel) with spa for non-guests if you need a good massage. And a very good authentic Cypriot restaurant a 5 minute walk away called Agrotikon with amazing food. The hotel room is spacious, and came with a kitchen and living area, with microwave, stove, sink and undercounter fridge, large flatscreen TV, pull out sofa and lounge chairs. We were on the ground floor and had a patio facing the pool, with a patio set for outdoor eating. The pool was mainly used by young families and a few elderly couples. Definitely a quieter setting than other hotels along the same road, which is what we were looking for. There is a small supermarket across the street about a 5 minute walk away. Not a huge selection - expensive, and some foods were beyond their expiry date, but nonetheless handy for some essentials. We shopped at the Lidl in Protaras most of the time. Check in and out was easy. Reception is in a separate building beside the pool where breakfast (at additional cost) is served, and also where you can exchange your used beach towels for new ones. We didn't try the breakfast, because it was really convenient to buy groceries and cook in our kitchen. Parking was free for guests. Our only issue was that the room could have been maintained better. The room was generally clean - the housekeeping staff does a decent job - but you can really notice wear and tear on furniture, doors and walls, even scuff marks on curtains? For this reason, we'd give it 3.5/4 stars. If the owners were to replace some of the furniture, and repair/repaint where needed, we'd have nothing to complain about.
