Best Western Plus Hotel Alpenhof

We have been here many times and are always impressed by our beautiful room with a balcony and a wonderful view. The breakfast buffet is great and the wellness area and fitness room help you relax.

The rooms are large and very comfortably furnished. The service (we booked half board) was extremely good, it was a week of well-being. The treatments/massages were also very pleasant. We would definitely go back! Highly recommended!

It was our first time there. We felt very comfortable there. Excellent cuisine, service, rooms, wellness area, ambience, everything with attention to detail and geared towards the guests. The hotel is on the outskirts of Oberstdorf, but has a great view. The center can be reached in 10 minutes.

I really liked it (good bus network, proximity to the town center, delicious breakfast, wellness area, friendly staff, even my swimsuit, which I had forgotten, was sent to me, ...) I could imagine booking there again.

The hotel has an excellent location with a beautiful view of the mountains. We already knew the hotel and the room from previous stays. Extensive breakfast buffet - however, the coffee served is barely drinkable, so we opted for coffee from the machine. Service and friendliness are of a high standard. Many thanks to the entire team and the Rieger family.

Breakfast and dinner were excellent, the wellness facilities with a large swimming pool and sauna are pleasant. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Parking in the adjacent building is difficult.

Let's start with the positive: nice renovated room (but no renovation in the bathroom). The bed is comfortable, the balcony small but sufficient. As for the rest... I'm speechless. You should know that this is a 4* superior hotel so we can expect a certain standard. Price paid with morning and evening meals: CHF 400.00/day. Breakfast can be taken on the beautiful terrace. People eat lunch then others take their place. The waiters are absent so we have to ask for the tables to be cleared. The dishes are therefore removed to allow other customers to enjoy the outside but the tables and placemats are NEVER cleaned… yuck. Positive point: beautiful buffet with varied products. In the evening, dinner MUST be eaten in the stuffy dining room. (No tablecloth, plastic flowers on each table) I asked several times to eat outside. Response from the head of department and the receptionist: too complicated to manage, no, not authorized. Meal: good, nothing more. On the other hand, the waiters waste an incredible amount of time transferring dirty dishes from their trays to the robot which travels to the kitchen (around ten meters... whatever). Is there a manager/manager at this hotel? In 5 days, we didn't see anyone. In terms of decoration, the common premises, dining room, lobby, swimming pool, bar have no charm, no coherence. No more of our time. In short, you will understand that we will not return to this hotel. From our experience in the region, we will have no problem finding a hotel that really deserves 4* superior and in which the employees will care about the customers.
