I don’t normally take the time to review places but considering that they market themselves as a 5 star hotel I want to make sure other people considering this hotel know what to expect at least. For context We stayed in this hotel for a week as a family (2 kids) in a connecting family room. First off when we arrived and checked in, the guy at reception said they would check our documents and to please wait in their restaurant. We ordered some drinks and waited. Meanwhile suddenly they start blasting Indian music so loud in the restaurant (it was only us and another family there) that we had to go ask them if they could please turn it back down again. I don’t know for who or why they put the music on so loud. This also happened when we ate breakfast one morning. After maybe 20 minutes we went to ask reception how check in was going and were only told that “they were checking”. We decided to go and get some late lunch since we didn’t know how long we needed to wait for them to “check” whatever they were checking. If the room wasn’t ready, it wouldn’t have been a problem if they simply said so and gave us a time frame for when it would be ready. But this was a taste of the service to come unfortunately. We had a connecting family room that had one bathroom to share. The master bedroom had only a window which was a small and by the ceiling facing out into the hallway (so no external window) which meant it was like sleeping with lights on all night as the hallway light were always on. In this case perhaps a curtain for that window would be good or installing sensor lights in the hallway so the light isn’t on unless someone is there. The rooms were SO warm and when we went to check about the air conditioning they told us it wasn’t working or they didn’t have it. (Not sure which was the correct answer) They couldn’t give us a straight answer. They told us the heating had been on the night before but that they had now switched it off and allowed for “air” instead. So whatever control you have in your room is basically useless. When we asked if they could allow for the air conditioning to be turned on they just told us they would sort it out but nothing got done. We had to sleep with the only external window open during the night so at least our kids could be more comfortable. Other important things to note - we got 2 towels for 4 people. We asked them to bring 2 more which wasn’t done. Only when we saw a cleaner outside in the hallway one evening (3 nights into our stay) did we get 2 more. - there was no cleaning the whole week. We asked for more water, asked if someone would come to at least remove the garbage and they told us they would send someone but never did. - as shown in the photos, one of the single beds was broken underneath. - several sheets/duvet covers were broken, one example shown in the photos. - there was cigarette burns on the double bed headboard despite it being a non-smoking room. Really good location. Views at breakfast from the cafe are worth the stay alone. The rooms with balconies are worth paying more for. The rooms are clean. Staff are always attentive and helpful. Loved the true authentic Azeri experience over a chain hotel or upmarket boutique hotel. Really memorable hotel stay

Just to dig money! We stay at this hotel for the second time. There are no questions to staff and food. But! With the hotel manager there was a terrible situation: We had 5 rooms, my guests (3 rooms), could not come because of cancellation of the flight. As the message was received, I went to the receptacle, asking to cancel their booking, the manager and the administrator told me that I still need to pay for the rooms. Although the booking of the room did not send the information where all this was scheduled. And for the first time I see such conditions of booking. After a long time of understanding of the relationship, I overpaid 330 manats for rooms where no one lived! I asked to show the rooms for which I paid, whether there was really no one living there, it turned out that 1 room had already sold and settled new guests. So I do not recommend choosing the hotel where managers lack human qualities!!!

The hotel is surrounded by wealthy areas, very safe, the hotel has complete facilities, just bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste, and there are many types of breakfast. The overall feeling is worthy of the price. It is not convenient to eat and shop around.

A family boutique hotel, quiet in a quiet location adjacent to Nizami Street, bustling with life and lively. Perfect location within walking distance to all the attractions, close to the old city, the promenade, etc. I stayed there for three enjoyable weeks. Amazing staff Turan, Ibrahim and the lovely Rashid, attentive to every request and help with everything needed with patience and kindness. The room is modest but has everything needed for a long and short stay Comfortable bed, hot water and strong current in the shower, electric kettle, refrigerator, TV, air conditioner, shower products. And very clean, with no aftertaste. The breakfast is modest, enough to start the day. The hotel has a good restaurant and excellent black beer. This is the hotel for me also for the next time when I arrive.

Rested with her husband in Baku at the end of June and very glad that the Diplomat hotel was chosen for accommodation. Of course, the first advantage of the hotel is the location in the very heart of the hotel. Near the metro, bus stops, to the Old City, Boulevard and Trade can be reached on foot. In the hotel itself very polite staff, rooms are clean, comfortable - we had a combined with a separate bedroom and work area, in the bathroom there are all the facilities, on request can also provide all necessary. Breakfasts on the 9th floor with views of the city panoramic and sea. The hotel itself has a quiet atmosphere, very comfortable, a lot of shops and cafes next to the hotel.

I lost my phone while taking a taxi. The lobby manager seemed to have helped me find the taxi in the app through his connections, and the phone was returned to me.

It is a most convenient and comfortable hotel in this area. i feel like a home. Excellent service good language ability of reception staff.

I had a business trip to this beautiful property in Baku. As far as I understood, it is newly rebranded hotel. I was staying in standard room. The room was spacious, but work desk was what I was looking for in order to work on my laptop. I contacted hotel staff and Mr. Ali Aliyev, who was on duty that day, promptly contacted me and offered me to change my room. But my room was enough comfortable for me, so we sorted out my issue by putting a chair and desk into my room. I was happy with the service and hospitality I faced, thanks to Mr. Ali and other hotel staff. Keep it up! Surely will come back again!
