The Ulin Villas and Spa - by Karaniya Experience Reviews

It's a bit dilapidated. I mainly like to have a detached house and an independent swimming pool. Breakfast is served by the pool in the villa, which is very romantic. The location is in a side alley, so I am worried about security issues.

A little far from the beach, the hardware and service are very good.

We were keen to find somewhere that wasn’t a hotel but that we would be able to eat in if we wanted but needed a pool. The villas were perfect. Immaculately tidy and great mosquito control in the evenings. The pool was clean and a great proportion for us as a family. We were beautifully looked after, breakfast was provided to your villa every morning with a huge menu and then a large afternoon tea. The staff were very kind and would wait for us if late back from an afternoon trip. The kids adored the pool, you can hire floaties there. Perfect location as close to Eat street and lots of spas and shopping and although you are right in the middle of Seminyak it is incredibly quiet and peaceful.

Absolutely beautiful villa …. Did not want to leave! We stayed 5 nights in villa 6 and it was wonderful. The Villa was clean, comfortable and well maintained. I loved the traditional style of the Villa and the gardens were stunning. The staff were wonderful and popped in everyday to make our stay very comfortable. I truly felt so relaxed staying here. The location was excellent… a very short walk to some amazing restaurants but such a quiet and peaceful location. We also booked a couples massage which was next level! Highly recommend staying here and will definitely come back again.

I booked this accommodation very last minute. We were originally scheduled to be staying elsewhere but that place was not fit for purpose. We then decided to look online and came across this beautiful spot. I called up and spoke to Arya, who kindly allowed me to view the villa prior to booking. He showed me the 2 types of villa’s and also let us check in an hour later. Our entire stay was amazing, the service was 10/10. The villa itself is spacious, clean and modern. Arya was always available to help us with any concerns and went above and beyond to ensure we had a very positive stay. Room service was incredible efficient, breakfast staff were always on time and they even provided flexible check out times which worked very well for us. They also offered a service where we could come back after check out and shower before leaving for the airport. Arya was key during our experience and was generally a very friendly and helpful guy! Would happily book again.

Staff: Friendly, attentive and propmt. No request was too difficult. I rate the service a 10/10 when compared to accommodation similar to Ulin. Food: Only breakfast is served on site. I am inclined to believe the food and beverage team are striving for the best. So good for them. On a note for improvement: on occasion the hot food came around a touch colder then I anticipated- however, we also ate our food so that says something! Price: As a last minute booking, the price was close to $6000 for a 3 bedroom villa for 4 pax over 8 nights. The good news is, pricing varies alot for Ulin, especially if your booking in advance. I did request a discount but reception staff were unwilling to offer anything cheaper. I rate the price a 6/10 when compared to accommodation similar to Ulin (minus the variables) Property: The front entrance is very unwelcoming (reception). Although the driveway down past the villas is magical, particularly of a night time. The Property itself is going back about 15 years old. Furniture and fixtures were dated and I would hope are due for some upgrades in the future. The Villas appeared well cleaned (and daily cleaning is included) but my group and I noted various maintenance issues plaguing our villa (walls in rooms are water damaged, doors are hard to lock or unable to lock, a TV set screen was severely scratched in 1 room, the pool needs a drain and given a thorough clean, some small paint issues and the most notable maintenance issue identified was that the wooden decking poolside was a huge hazard (chipping to the wood planks, nails missing and planks poking slightly upwards-good idea to wear thongs or shoes around that space) Overall Experience: We enjoyed our stay with Ulin. We thought the Customer Service demonstrated by everyone we encountered is a worthy mentioned and would have us return at least another time. A review of the maintenance schedule to capture some of the issues described above could extend Ulin's current shelf life a couple of years. However, with so many avaliable options in Bali when it comes to Villas, without some improvements in the maintenance department being made soon or a refurbishment considered, it would be easy to look elsewhere in the years to come. With all this said an done, we have our eyes on a 2 bedroom villa for November and really look forward to once again experiencing the super friendly and attentive service that Ulin should be commended on. Awsome Villa..big and spacious. Wow breakfast. As the 1 room villa is very big, there is a need to install a big aircon or additional aircon for the unit. Shops are walking distance. Beach arevwalking distance too. There us a soa in the villa. Breakfast is Al- carte

The Ulin Villa absolutely exceeded our expectations. All the staff are so welcoming, friendly and accomodating and we will miss them dearly! Always smiling and will accomodate for any request you have, such a great environment all around. The Villa itself was absolute perfection, very clean, spacious and the private pool was to die for. We cannot wait to visit The Ulin Villas again and would highly recommend anyone contemplating staying here to do it, you won’t regret it!! Thank you again to the lovely staff!

The beautiful one bedroom villa 3 exceeded my expectations. It’s an incredibly large space with a lovely well maintained very private garden oasis. A very attractive infinity pool with plenty of room to lounge about. They provide a large outdoor fridge that is handy if you want cold drinks etc anytime. The villa itself has plenty of natural light and is also very large, including a very comfortable king size bed and an enormous bathroom. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Perfectly located, close to all the great restaurants, shopping and beach if desired. The only thing I would change on my next visit would be not to have the included breakfast, as i prefer to frequent many of the great local restaurants on offer. I’m sure you could probably get a discount if you chose to do this.

Good location, but very impersonal service and the only interaction is via whatsapp. We checked out a day early and property refused to refund our money. The entire attitude is stingy, will give only 2 bottles of water, though breakfast is free but they limit what one can order and will charge you for any additional item on the bfast menu.First day we asked for Shakshuka for Bfast, they sent some but forgot to add eggs to it !! Housekeeping and general service is sub par, the bath tub was filthy, we asked for floating bfast, the tray was not cleared till the late evening.
