Our experience here was INCREDIBLE! The hotel is so beautiful -- clean and comfortable and in an excellent location. (I especially appreciate their commitment to preserving the environment.) We arrived well before our check-in time and were informed our room would be ready as soon as possible. The lobby was comfortable while we waited, and we were provided periodic updates. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and eager to help. We especially enjoyed Simo with his friendly eagerness to ensure our excellent experience. We highly recommend a few restaurants very nearby as well: Asian Ways, Luigi's and Burger Central.

Great location in Gothic Quarter with lots of dining, shopping and sightseeing options in walkable distance. The hotel staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. The rooftop terrace was great place to relax even in Feb.

The property was awesome, our room was huge, staff were great. Very nice, quiet, super clean and modern hotel, well located.

Perfect location! Very good breakfast! First , we got 003 room which has no hot water and curtains couldn’t be opened, otherwise you won’t get any privacy. Only after several requests to the hotel staff they were eventually able to move us to another room. The privacy was not there either, everyone can see you full height unless you fully close the curtains and then you have no day light. The hot water problem was solves though. Bottom line, for the price and hotel rating, we should have gotten somewhat smoother experience.

Great location and staff, very low quality room, bathroom, water pressure, design. Bedding linen was uncomfortable. Hotel service and staff are wonderful, super helpful and warm, too bad, the hardware is just below the average.

Amazingly clean hotel! Adam was a huge help during our travel and was able to recommend a lot of bars and restaurants in the area. 10/10 would stay here again.

Catalonia Magdalenes is located right in the heart of the old town - it was the perfect jumping off point to walk to restaurants, shops, really anywhere you wanted to go. We took the airport bus to Catalunya Plaza and walked to the hotel from there, maybe an 8 minute walk. We were greeted warmly every time we arrived & check-in was a breeze. The breakfast every morning was fantastic! Probably our favorite part of the stay. Too cold to use the outdoor pool in November (though you could've if you wanted to). My only criticism is a design flaw - the bed was situated right in front of the door to the bathroom. The door is frosted glass & there is a gap between it and the door frame. The door frame is also mirrored, so someone on the toilet could make eye contact with someone sitting on the bed via the gap & the mirror. It was a little awkward to say the least. We utilized the downstairs bathrooms quite frequently.

Booked 4 nights in November to stay before boarding my cruise ship. I'm glad to make the right choice as it is close to everything.
