Ji Hotel (Shanghai People's Square)

This hotel is located on the nice location where is close to Nanjing Lu and People's Square subway station. There are many restaurants and Malls around the place. The room is tiny but okay, there are refilled cold drinks,soda and hot tea everyday with nice toiletries. Big screen of TV , but all of them are chinese. The bed and pillows are quite good and clean.

Very good -hotel location , easy to go by metro . Room is clean. We stayed at 3 rd floor. Everything was good. Only room is not sound proof. Very noisy and smell of cigarette (actually all over Shanghai). And internet is very poor. Don’t think about using internet from hotel.

Hotel is at a very good location, just that they have a few near by branches(easy to be confused). Front desk able to assist with collect delivery and parcel. Free laundry service with detergent provided. Room is pretty small for 2 of us (could not open 2 luggage at 1 go). We stayed for 6 nights and the quality of house keeping varies. Very near nanjing pedestrian walk.

Some disappointment with staff when check-in. We were there at 1.30 pm and give them all documents for check-in. It seems everything was done just to wait for the room readiness by 4 pm. Then we kept our luggage’s at hotel lobby and came back at 10 pm. Met a man staff and we get our baggages. But then he ignores us, if I didn’t ask for the keycard he would just busy focus on his mobile phone. He starts check-in process since the beginning (then what the woman staff did in the afternoon?) it takes so long time and we got smaller room than our expectation (20-22 sq mtr feel like 18 sq mtr) with a small window at the bed head. We just wonder if we came back earlier, we would get better room? When checkout, hotel asking us whether we are satisfied staying there. I said yes. And she asked us to give rating in Trip.com immediately. Should do this way? This is the second time I stay with Ji Hotel (last time in Zhanggjiajie), it is totally different both the staff, room and breakfast.

The location of the hotel is superb, food stalls are everywhere within walking distance, the Metro station is within 5 minutes walk. The hotel room is very clean, the cleaner "Ah Yee" are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast choices are considerably good, surprisingly coffee is as good as the coffee sold in the cafe. The drinking water is crucial for us while traveling, the hotel provides 4 bottles of water every day & the guests can ask for more from the reception counter upon request. As the lift to the check-in reception is on the 1st floor, the guests are required to go up using the 3-step stairs, it would be ideal if the hotel could provide a ramp to facilitate the guests to push up the luggage & the directory sign be improved, especially the Check-in Reception is located on the 9th Floor.

Very good hotel , staffs very nice,the hotel is close to the metro. close to souvenir shop and good attractions.

I book the superior room 20m room . When arrived hotel they give me small ( business room ) they said my room already full . How cloud be dam like that service ? Ooooh china mainland people please wake up !! Please if my room already you selling to another person please give me upgrade to bigger room and never put your customers to another small room 😡 please after use toilet don’t forget flush it !!OMG don’t trust this hotel anyway !!!

Convenience location Located inside an old building but hotel itself is very clean. Friendly staffs & great breakfast
