Strange booking rules. Booked the room, paid 750 yuan in deposit. This will be paid back in a week or so according to website. Then at the hotel I hade to pay same amount plus 500yuan as a security fee. So for a room that only cost 750 I hade to pay 1250 in security/deposit. I understand this will be payed back to me. But what if I have limited amount of RMB. All the other 5 står hotels I stayed at in shanghai, I only paid in full in the booking app. The hotels never once asked me for deposit, security etc. Decor in hotel is old but clean. But super convenient...right at terminal 2.

This hotel is so convenient to get to - just outside exit 1 of HongQiao Airport Terminal 1 subway stop on Line 10. Check was so easy, the rain shower was refreshing and the craft beer was the perfect end to the day. Breakfast was very clean with a great selection. Highly recommend for the business traveler who just wants to walk out of the airport and find a great night’s sleep. No fuss with old and tired traditional hotels that waste so much space and money on meaningless frills.

The hotel is literally in front of Hongqiao international airport and metro subway station line 10, which makes it very well connected and close to the most important areas in the entire city. Generally speaking the hotel is modern, clean and contemporary decorated. I’d say that the area were the hotel excel is at the cordiality from the employees, specially from the housekeeping ladies that always smiles and are willing to help. Front desk personal is very friendly as well. It also have a small gym but with the necessary equipment to perform a basic workout session. They offer a well served breakfast buffet and have a beverage and snack area for those night cravings. The only point I thinks the hotel have serious problems is the one related wit the wifi connection. Literally parts of the day the connection is lost for hours, which can be somehow problematic if you need the internet connection for personal and work related issues. In general terms I’d say is the best option if you need a hotel near Hongqiao airport.

We stayed in the Argyle for one night in transit to Hangzhou. The hotel is about 300 meters walking from Shanghai Hongqiao Terminal One and the Metro line 10 is right next to the airport entrance. The reception staff are friendly and can speak English or use translators to help you. They booked us a taxi to Shanghai Hongqiao High Speed Railway station which is about 12 minutes in a taxi or Didi in low peak traffic and I paid the taxi driver on WeChat. The room was clean and beds were soft. It is a good hotel for a quick transit to another city or country via air or rail.

The hotel is located just next to the Hongqiao International Airport. It’s great if you plan to have an early flight. The ambience of the hotel it’s vintage Chinese style, almost as if you are going back in time in Shanghai. As you enter there is a reception area and next to it there is a vintage camera and a carriage set with with traditional clothes. This just gives an idea of what to expect. The staff is very friendly although they don’t speak English and they upgraded our room for free. From there on, we went to our room which was on the 3rd floor and entering inside it’s like being in the olden times. Everything has exquisite gold touches and the ambience is very classic. The room was very clean and it also had a mini fridge. The view from our window was the hotel garden which is a great sight for sore eyes. We had the buffet breakfast and it was mostly Chinese breakfast but it was well prepared and food was really good. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone.❤️

I booked a twin room specifically to stay for one night so that I could catch a flight to T1 the next day. Although it's an old Home Inn, it's cheap, and I can sleep and take a shower there, and it's relatively clean. If you want quality, I'd suggest you stay in the city. For this price, don't ask for a big room, a big TV, a food delivery robot, a smart room, etc. I'm personally very satisfied with it.

The flight was late, so I found a room for a rest in the middle of the night. The hot water came quickly and the water pressure was sufficient. It was quite cold as the weather turned cold, so I took a hot shower to get rid of the cold. Good review! The door handle in the shower room was a little small, so it was not easy to open the door. The customer service of this International Exhibition Center is really warm! The lady at the front desk also helped me upgrade to a garden-view king-size bed for free. The garden-view king-size bed has two floor-to-ceiling windows that provide great lighting. The equipment in the room is very attentive. For example, there is a mini trash can on the washbasin, which is very convenient. ! Like other hotels I stayed in that didn't have a trash can on the sink, I had to take the trash can to throw it away, and then put it back, which was troublesome. The bathrooms also have enough space to separate wet and dry areas, and it's extremely hot outside Huangmeiji in Shanghai right now. The air conditioning was turned on in the room in advance. I had an early 9am flight so I stayed at the Hyatt. The walk to the airport was about 20 minutes. Very easy! Breakfast started at 6am. Easy check-in and the hotel room was very comfortable.  I would recommend the hotel if you have an early morning flight.

We had a very enjoyable stay at this lovely hotel, conveniently located within walking distance of the Hongqiao transport hub. There is a wonderful choice of eateries on a food street just across the road and the breakfast at the Mercure is also copious and delicious. Excellent service, very friendly staff who do everything to provide a pleasant environment for their guests. I am familiar with the Mercure chain and I would not hesitate to give this top class hotel a five star recommendation in all categories.

The hotel is in a prime location with convenient transportation. It takes only a few minutes to walk to Metro Station No. 2. There are many snacks around and it is also close to the shopping mall. The front desk staff are very good, very proactive and enthusiastic. The room without window is relatively small. The front desk lady upgraded the room type for free. I thought it would be noisy at night because there was a road downstairs, but it turned out to be unexpected. I had a very good rest. I had a short 1 night stay at the hotel but I had a good stay. Front desk service: The receptionist was friendly and kind. The lift doesn’t go directly to the third floor so she accompanied me to my room. Cleanliness: the room was relatively clean. Amenities: the front desk offered a dental kit. The room also had cups and water however no tea or coffee was provided. There was a tv in the room, however, I didn’t use it. I booked a room with my child during the summer vacation. The theme I liked had to be grabbed. I originally wanted to book a pumpkin princess car for my child, but there was no room, so I chose Mickey Mouse. My child liked it very much.

The place is great, clean, modern and with good location. Exactly like in the pictures. 02 kinds of bedroom: one slightly bigger (facing the street) and the other facing the neighborhood in the back (more silent, stayed in this one). Staff polite and helpful, no english. Metro station 1km away (Zhoupu). Is 40 minutes metro to pudong touristic center. But right in front there's a pedestrian street and a mall nearby that gives us the feeling of ”China for chinese” (like we saw in smaller cities). It was worthy to stay here. The price is good and we will come back if we have the opportunity.
