Beijing Asian Games Village Bird's Nest Meilun Hotel

Asian and Olympic Games Village Area Beijing|1.98km from Hong Kong Baptist University Beijing Office
at checkin I asked for a free upgrade (like I always do, because you never know unless you ask), but nobody could speak even a little English, so the staff didn't understand me. when I came into the room, it was one without windows. first I didn't care much, but it was unbearable warm (28 degrees) inside and even after 2 hours with AC on full power, it didn't get cooler. so I asked to change the room and double checked on my booking, turned out I in fact got downgraded at checkin. I did get a new room with window, but same problem with heat over there, AC not working at all (picture taken in the morning after whole night set to 18 degrees), although the window helped a little. outside it was around 20 degrees in daytime and 10 in the nighttime, but the window was just too small to exchange enough air with outside, especially when the curtain is closed. I don't want to imagine the room temperature in summer, when you have outside temperatures of 35 degrees in the daytime and 25 in the night... for this price I didn't expect to get such a bad service and environment. other thoughts: very nice and modern design and very clean. the doors are not very soundproof, you can hear every voice loud and clear, when people talk in front of the door. the location is okay, you have a subway station ”nearby” (10 minutes walk), but nothing really interesting in the direct neighbourhood. breakfast I didn't try, so I cannot say anything about it. gym is a joke and only good for taking a picture for your WeChat moments. all in all I'd say there are way better options in this price segment and I wouldn't come here again.

Staying in a hotel with friends in Beijing First of all, I would like to praise Pang Jianshu at the front desk of the hotel for his really good service attitude. Simple service can tell the quality of a hotel. It was really, really comfortable to sleep! I finally got the room I had been dreaming of, where I could see the bird's nest while lying down. It’s really comfortable for couples to take a bath in the bathtub~it’s so satisfying to fall asleep after taking a bath‼ ️ The service here is also very good, almost everything you need is met💦 ✅The location of the hotel is also very popular with me. It is right next to the Bird's Nest and it is convenient to go anywhere.

very satisfied. It's very close to the Bird's Nest and Water Cube, just a 10-minute walk. The front desk also took the initiative to upgrade to a room with a view of the Bird's Nest, which gave us a good experience as a tourist. The room is also the best among the hotels of the same price range that I stayed in during this trip. Although the hotel facilities are a little older, the soundproofing of the doors is a little worse, and the breakfast is a little drab, it does not affect the overall score. It should be said that I am very satisfied with the price during the Spring Festival. (The bird's nest is in the distance in the picture)

This is my first time staying at this hotel. I usually stay at Haidian Weishi Hotel. I feel that this hotel is quite good. The twin room I booked was a bit noisy. I called and upgraded it to a king-size bed. The service is very good. I will stay here again next time.

The hotel has a strategic location and convenient transportation, just one step away from Beijing Olympic Park. You can see the bird's nest from the room. Downstairs of the hotel is the Xinchenli Shopping Center, a 2-minute walk from restaurants and Hema Fresh Food. The rooms are well-equipped, spacious, clean, and the beds are comfortable. The service quality of the hotel is also good. The staff are enthusiastic and professional, and are ready to provide help and care to guests. . The booked two-bedroom suite has a living room, a public bathroom and a private bathroom in the master bedroom. The private bathroom has a bathtub, which is suitable for family travel.

The hotel where colleagues and friends often stayed. This time, due to the disjointed service, I paid for breakfast but couldn't eat breakfast. A male service person at the front desk was very impatient and unfriendly when answering the phone.

Facilities: Still quite new Hygiene: Hygiene is very good. Auntie will also take the initiative to clean Environment: quite quiet at night Service: The attitude at the front desk is very good It only takes ten minutes to walk from the Bird's Nest. It's very convenient to watch the concert. It's just across the street from the hotel.
