Wellesley Guest Accommodation

Good price, we stayed on the top floor which was lovely and quiet, easy check-in and departure instructions, room was cosy, very clean and had a kettle, hairdryer, and plenty of plugs. Nice kitchen available but we didn’t make use of it. The bed was super comfy, we slept very well here.

Lovely property, good distance to the centre & shopping eg tesco 10 min walk, bus center 25min walk, centre 20-30 dependant on where you want to go Room was lovely, and good kitchen facilities, was able to cook a couple of our nights which saved on restaurants ☺️ Bed comfy, good shower, tv, hairdryer etc Very nice, thanks so much 💖

Everything was great apart from a heating problem which meant the first night was spent in the cold. This was impossible to report because the phone lines close at 5pm. So just be aware that if you are not checking in before 5pm, you may not be able to alert anyone of any problems.

Room: We stayed in room five, which is the one pictured as the example on Tripadvisor and the hotel website. It was huge but it looks different now then when the photos were taken. There is carpet instead of wood flooring (felt like a cosy improvement) and the room did not have a chair or table by the window, a fridge, or any bedside tables or lamps. While the space was great, it felt very sp**** and lacked storage. The bathroom was very tiny (like an airplane) but the shower was fabulous. The noise outside could be a problem if you are a light sleeper. Facilities: There is a shared kitchen with laundry facilities which we didn't really use but was always clean. The wifi was very good. Staff: The radiator in our room wasn't working and Naomi was very helpful, sending the maintenance lady over with a space heater right away. Neighborhood: It is a student neighborhood that has lots of restaurants but feels pretty run down. You are 25 mins walk from the center, which is convenient.

Room was much smaller than shown on the website. There was no facility to put your luggage and towels could not be hang.it is over priced for what is on offer

Maintenance was going on during my stay. The stairs are already too narrow and with fresh paint on it was impossible to get to the room without having stains on your clothes. When complained, the staff on email said “it’s not happening inside of your room and no one else has complained” as if they’ll ever say oh yes others have complained too but we can’t stop minting me even when the property is in dire need of renovations. Extremely overpriced for what’s offered. Go to Ramada or other similar hotels and pay £20 extra a night for much better rooms and service. I chose this because of the kitchen but the kitchen doesn’t even have a fridge so it was rendered useless too.

Central was the most accommodating hotel chain I have ever booked with. They contacted me at the beginning and at the end of my stay. I requested information re buses before I got there and had the info right away. I asked for more towels and had them within the hour. Very impressed with the service.

Both getting in on arrival and the check out were difficult, the safety box by the front door was too hard to open and during the check out it was impossible... so I took my key back to my room, which had been not allowed. Also I had a key to a wrong room on arrival and no way catching anyone to help, so I did sleep one night there and next day I had planned to be back quite late, but the day was hot so I needed to get new cooler clothes and came back in the afternoon and there was a guy cleaning the room and I had to move my things to another (the original) room. I can tell you I was pretty mad about it and nobody even said they'd be sorry, made me feel guilty about this. And I think the small room i got was too expensive. So I shall not visit that hotel again.

The bed was comfortable, there's a fridge in the room, and the location is close to central Belfast. That about sums up the positives. The property is loud, it felt like staying in a dormitory. I was on the second floor and could hear people in the shared kitchen area below. People yelling/talking loudly and slamming doors at all hours of the day and night. The walls were dirty, it looked like someone had spilled coffee on the window ledge and it was never cleaned up. There were insects in the room, possibly coming in through the open windows. No place to hang towels in the bathroom or any shelf in the shower. The kettle would turn on randomly by itself. No housekeeping, no staff onsite. And I found the front entrance door to be left unlocked several times, giving anyone access into the property. Would not recommend staying here.
