Medplaya Hotel Regente

The hotel is well placed for the Benidorm palace and the beach. The hotel has good facilities . There is a good choice for breakfast. There was entertainment in the evening. Although it is only about 100m form the road it is very quiet.

Very pleasant man on the reception when we checked in. Hotel had parking and was clean and perfect for our 1 night stay. I had the unfortunate mishap of being robbed on my way back to the hotel and the night staff were very helpful. They called the police for me and helped find telephone numbers to cancel my bank cards. Will definitely stay there again if I ever go back to Benidorm.

Nice but no tea and coffee in room

We booked 4 nights via easyJet holidays. 1hr 20 transfer from Alicante, 15-20 min stroll to the beach. We had 2 rooms(1 double & single each). Hotel was clean, comfortable and safe. The food was good and restaurant staff extremely hard working. The evening entertainment was good enough. Have zero complaints about our experience and would definitely consider staying there again.

Very good hotel . Friendly staff ,rooms serviced every day ,great food although chips seem to be the only main vegetable available. We didn't use the pool but it is well served with sun beds & there is also a separate sun bathing terrace & bar & entertainment facilities are available in the evenings, Do not be fooled by the photograph ,the Regente is the white building at the rear. The building to the left is a next door block of flats. ( the Margarita, we have also stayed in them & they were very good ). Back to the Regente, the rooms a very comfortable with kettle ,hair dryer & air con. & yes, we would definitely choose the Regente again for a holiday.

It's a superb hotel, great night's sleep, decent food too. The only thing wrong with it for us was that it was on the top of a hill and too far away free the beach, especially for the elderly or infirmed. Otherwise, it's a great hotel. It can be a little confusing to find as it is not exactly on my main drag, but it's very nice and inviting once you do find it. Perhaps better, clearer, signage? Still, we enjoyed our stay and really got our daily steps in walking to the town and beach!

This is the worst hotel we have ever stated in! 1. The room was absolutely filthy. We made our own beds every morning, they were never tidied. Floors were never brushed/mopped. Shower was not cleaned the entire week. Mirrors covered in finger marks when we first arrived. Still there when we left, never cleaned. Toilet stank of stale urine. Toilet leaked, despite being reported it was never fixed. Toilet blocked from day 1 - reported, never fixed. Had to unblock ourselves using a hanger. 2. Food - no real choice of food. Daughter lived on plain pasta and chips entire week. 3. Male receptionist rude and arrogant to extent he was reported. Had to approach him regarding a very concerning incident within the hotel, he mocked us to our faces. Lied to our faces. Claimed to run the hotel himself. 4. Cleaner refused toilet rolls. Everyone on same floor had to take them when she was in a room or there would have been no replacement. Only ever left 2 towels despite 3 people in room. Asked for an extra one which was provided once. 5. Balcony had never seen a brush or mop. Table and 2 chairs dirt ground into them, never cleaned. 6. Had a very alarming incident whilst there. Jet 2 visited Hotel regarding this. Manager never came near us. Guest manager spoke with us but was very flippant about it. No customer care at all. Whoever awarded this 4* definitely needs retrained!
